Cass and Steph for me. Always dug Barb as Oracle more, and kinda wish she'd retire to do that again. And the clip of Young Justice Outsiders made me realize just how much I miss Oracle. But anyway, Cass has such a good design, and an engaging backstory/development, I enjoy her most.
It's simple Cassandra Cain = Best Batgirl plus she had a great dynamic with Stephanie Brown who she gave the mantle to later. I'd love to see them team up again taking up old mantle Black Bat & Spoiler type series. You could even make a running gag about spoilers. I'd also love to see them with [maybe with Red Hood, Ravanger Pre52 etc.] *Dick is the ❤ & Charm* *Jason is the Rage & Ruthlessness* *Tim is the Intelligence & Hope* *Cassandra is the Unbreakable Will* *Stephanie is the Whimsy and Wit* *Damian is the Bloodlust & Loyalty* Also every Batfam goes together whether platonic or romantic. If u so choose to go with that [it's not incestuous they have no blood ties and are their own people regardless of Bats being the connective tissue that links them all together] *Jason/Cass* *Dick/Barb* *Tim/Steph* *Damian/Whoever they decide to have him go with just NOT Emiko Queen or whatever they were tryna do with that*
The Birds of Prey series was my introduction to comics and Babs will always be Oracle to me. That said, the Batgirl comic series is looking up now that Mairghread Scott is writing.
Cass will always be my Batgirl ✊ I can see why people aren't a fan of Cass' new history as Orphan, but I can dig it. Her pre-Flashpoint history will always be my favorite, but I still very much like what Tynion has done with her. Maybe it's because there hasn't been much to compare since Dixon and Puckett have written her? Idk. Orphan definitely isn't a fantastic name, but I personally think Tynion has done a good job showing who Cass really is/her motive being a hero. I really really REALLY hope they continue to flesh out her character.
Happy Ashley is on again! I loved that Robin episode she did with you. Cassandra is definitely my favorite Batgirl. That series was so good. I still adore Barbara Gordon, though.
It feels like ever since she became Batgirl again, Barbara's character as a whole has been emptied of her character development. The only time in years where i felt like Barbara was acting as herself (Being extraordinary at being analytic) was in detective comics. Her own comic treats her like an idiot who needs tech support when SHE IS THE BEST TECH SUPPORT IN THE WORLD, she fights villains who are basically jokes and are never mentionned anywhere outside her comics. The writers just don't know what to do with her, which is sad
The Killing Joke was an important Barbara Gordon story for me. Often in comic books there are big events (like killing off Superman) that attract a lot of hype and then are undone pretty quickly. To my knowledge, the events in The Killing Joke had lasting impact in continuity until recenty. That lasting impact makes it especially important to me.
Just an FYI: the chip that was used to cure Barbara is something we're doing now to cure paralyzed mice in labs, and will probably be able to do in humans within a decade. I read an interview where Simone mentioned reading about that research and going "So we can do that here, but in a world with Kryptonian tech only two degrees of separation from Babs she's still paralyzed? No." As for the Timmverse Bruce/Barbara sleeping together thing, I see it as a classic example of a sort of "hot for teacher" situation. I teach at a high school, and I've had female students crush on me. The difference is, I am not socially retarded like Bruce, so I understand the importance of boundaries. Also, I'm kind of okay with how the Timmverse dealt with that relationship because it never treats it like it's okay. If it were glorified, I'd really take issue, but at no point do they act like it's okay.
I would prefer Steph as or Cassandra as Batgirls: heck make Barb an Oracle with those two in a group of batgirls guarding a neighboring city ala Bludhaven.
I saw last night in social media that supermans manager said that him leaving was a rumor that just grew out of control and that he was not leaving the role.
I don't like Barbara Gordon Batgirl. Cassandra Cain is a far better character imo with a far better design. Barbara should've stayed as Oracle even after she got her legs back. The intimate realtionship between Batman and Batwoman has also bothered me.
Idk why Barbara Gordon got her legs back. I know that sounds horrible, but come on a woman who is in a wheelchair that is basically the most important character within a universe! So, let’s write that out of continuity, make her boring then a girly girl hipster, and bleh... Cassandra and Stephanie did better. Aside from killing joke name one story with her... that is memorable.
@@ungreatfulduck750 I dunno. I can't really agree. To explain, her bad history as Robin was mostly Batman's fault and how it ended up during War Games was due to editorial mandate by Dan Didio. Plus, she was pretty competent as Spoiler during Chuck Dixon's Robin series considering the character is just a normal teenage girl. One final thing, she was pretty badass in that Batman Incorporated Leviathan One Shot where even Batman himself praised her. All in all, while Barbara is the intellectual Batgirl and Cass is the stoic warrior Batgirl; Stephanie Brown is the "everyman-ish" Batgirl. But hey its your opinion and that's fine.
@@ungreatfulduck750 Yeah about that Robin era, I forgot to mention she was written rather out of character at that time because she was competent as Spoiler during the Chuck Dixon's Robin series. Also the comment "nobody gives a fuck about Spoiler", that is not true considering her death was retconned due to fan demand/outcry.
Also batman and batgirl having a thing isn't that big a deal lol. A younger woman with similar beliefs that is attracted to a physically fit rich handsome older man? SOOOOO far fetched lol. That could never happen in real life... T_T lol. Batman didn't RAISE Barbra. Its not like its on the same level as Dick.

I will always consider Barbara as Oracle. Cassandra hands down was the best Batgirl.
The Birds of Prey series was my introduction to comics and Babs will always be Oracle to me. That said, the Batgirl comic series is looking up now that Mairghread Scott is writing.
That's an easy question to answer, anyone besides Barbara Gordon is the best Batgirl. Especially Cassandra Cain.
but babs girl will always have the title of most iconic batgirl :)
Cass will always be my Batgirl ✊ I can see why people aren't a fan of Cass' new history as Orphan, but I can dig it.

Who else is triggered that Harley Quinn can be in a Birds of prey movie but not goddamn Oracle?

Am I the only one that loves all Batgirls equally?? Seriously I love all Batgirls (Babs is my favorite of course, but I also like Cass and Steph)

So pumped for new Comic Pop content!
I saw last night in social media that supermans manager said that him leaving was a rumor that just grew out of control and that he was not leaving the role.
Damian is the fastest robin. And my favorite robin.
LITERALLY as you guys talked about the suit where spiderman has just his mask and underwear, unlock it, 100%ing the game. Small world
Dick is the heart.
Jason is the rage.
Tim is the brains.
Damien is the arrogance.
(But I don't hate Damien)
I love Barbara Gordon. I hope they make her movie.
Ashleyyyyyyy! That's what's up
Babs from The Batman! That is my favorite Batgirl!
I don't like Barbara Gordon Batgirl. Cassandra Cain is a far better character imo with a far better design. Barbara should've stayed as Oracle even after she got her legs back. The intimate realtionship between Batman and Batwoman has also bothered me.
Agreed

Tom welling is my Superman and ya the first season or 2 of smallville he was learning to act but he gets really great once season 3 and 4 hit
Wait, how come Stephanie Brown as Batgirl was mostly ignored in this discussion?
I know.
@@ungreatfulduck750 really? The Stephanie Brown Batgirl series was pretty good.

I think Barbara is the best and should stay Batgirl but Stephanie is a REALLY close second. I LOVE STEPHANIE!
I forgot to say I LOVE BARBARA!
Heck we’re lucky to have three great Batgirls.
Barbara's the best
Yooo Ashley is so awesome!
Best one is the new 52 Batgirl :)
I can understand the Damian Wayne hate at the start but come on lol.
