Sintra, Portugal in One Day | Visiting the most popular castles in Portugal

Sintra was one of the first places in Europe to exhibit romantic architecture in the 19th century. Visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site is like taking a step back in time. Pena Palace mixes Renaissance, Islamic, Gothic, and Egyptian architectural elements. The Castle of the Moors is a hilltop medieval castle built by the Moors in the 8th and 9th century. It was an important strategic point during the Reconquista.

We went there too and were sooo glad to have a tour guide driving us on the narrow streets. Love these Portugal vlogs you’ve been putting out. Did you all do the drone footage on your own drone?

I remember as pedestrians we had to share those narrow streets with the cars. That was a bit nerve racking at times lol. Yup, I did all the drone shots! I really wanted to drone the Algarve cliffs but didn't have time, at least I got the Sintra castles haha. 🤗 Glad you are enjoying all the Portugal vlogs!
