If you are going to be doing heavy linework/inking then I highly recommend that you get used to using Vector layers instead of Raster as it helps maintain the sharpness and you can go back and edit the lines individually later. A lot more versatility and maintains the overall sharpness/resolution of the lines.

It looks way too perfect and cartoony. Some people like more sketchy and interesting lines and using vector for that is just clunky and unnecessary.

Jetty, since you were having trouble with a size of ink brush looking pixelated and you had to resize, try inking with a Vector layer instead of a Raster one. Vector goes by shape and not pixels and you can resize without pixelation.

Vector isn't an option when you want to create an interesting line, it's too cartoony.

Vector looks wayyy too perfect and cartoony, it doesn’t work well for more painterly and sketchy styles
