Kriegshetzer - my take on S9 and first impressions Honestly, I like the approach to the fact that classless WoW after all is kinda had classes despite initial randomness, but so far I think they should have atleast some degree of prediction, because for now a have only 2 DPS abilites that I CAN use and a whole slew of stuff that just don't work due to inability to generate combo points or not having form/stance or main ability to make in that case secondary ability to work. Also random talents are wild in a bad way, there is maybe a 5-10% of some usable talents (useable meaning they give SOMETHING tangible like giving melee-related bonuses for melee DPS and not bonus heal or extra defense for melee DPS). In the end I'm excited to play and hope that this is just hurdles of beggining and later with rerolls and prestige I'll get a usable build in some form. P.S. Manastorm is great idea. Have a nice day
I'm really enjoying the randomness, although it does kinda feel like a slog when leveling without any synergy in your skills and talents, when you start getting and using all the reroll scrolls i feel like you can get some really fun combos that you'd never use if you just picked your build. -MementoMori
Hey I just stated this season.. yeah they are patching a lot but that's because they put in a bunch of new stuff. So far the game is very daunting with how much you need to learn, but its very fun =)

You aren’t supposed to be able to make a real build the first few times u get to 60. The point is to have such a skill card collection eventually that u can. If builds are easy day one, why even have a season that lasts as long as it does?

I have been having so much fun with the Manastorm, even with the weird scaling. I also LOVE that they made it so you can lock abilities at level 1 to keep during your rerolls. Not a fan of the talents being randomized, but I've been having a ton of fun on the server regardless! IGN- Notmitch
Tfc - Season has been pretty chill so far, I think if they gave you some control over talents it would be a bit better, maybe four options per roll rather than one. But definitely prefer it over the LRE's. Great vids man

I was always worried about all the randomness because all the way till like 25 I got bad talents and abilites for my build. But afterwards they gave me the seal of fervor which completly changed my whole build ended up being a very solid class and one of my favorite builds I have ever played. So in other words thanks ascension for mega rng buff your bribe has been accepted

I feel your pain with the first build, I got cat form, feral charge, claw, and tame beast at 1 and thought "Oh this could be cool" and used dual wield, then had to get to 60, including almost 40 floors of manastorm before server crash, with only claw and a pet for damage because I couldn't roll anything else. Finally got some decent rerolls and am now a weird two-handed poison cat form build that scales off both agility and intellect and it feels surprisingly good to play, but leveling was so painful. - Altorian

The randomness just is so unapologetically unfun, even just from the viewpoint of watching it I don't want to deal with that. My luck is bs as it is, i don't want to have to go 5, 10, 15 runs on a character to get something workable. Not even good, just decent enough to work.
Yo Mc D I'm 100% trying to make a vampire tank build. Got Carnage Incarnate at level 10 which freakin summons a vortex of blood to heal me, reduce damage taken and damage nearby enemies! This season is fun. Slow going on dealing with the RNG but fun nonetheless.
The Manastorm is one of the best additions to the game, it still needs a bit of polish and balancing tweaks, but overall a solid gamemode. On top of that, the season itself it really promising, but it seems that it's more RNG based than the previous ones - good and bad at the same time, managed to hit lv 60 and all of my skills are really garbage atm, it really requires a lot of work to make it pump :D - Qlaaa (Elune)
This is my first time joining a season on the server. I've been playing the last month or so on area 52 getting to know the game since I'd heard a new season was around the corner. So far I'm loving it! My first character who I'm duoing with someone I also went demon form and I'm having a blast with it still, didn't even realize they nerfed it! Manastorm has also been fun, we're running a tank/healer duo and its been fun and chaotic. Was one point though we hit a road block and almost had to leave; boss would cast lay on hands at low health, and we had no interupts! Kept going in a loop until we both got lucky procs and managed to burn it down. Character's name is Fesh
16:50 is called split-pulling. It's not a new technique and works on all versions of wow because of how leashing works. Damage resets the leash and you can kite 1 mob indefinitely. The others will de-aggro when not damaged.
Would love to get into Ascension again, but the last 3 seasons i feel it all ended up the same , spam dungeons from 1-60, hype yourself up for finally now it is gonna be some good HR pvp at max, and it never is, and you fight the same people in arena all the time. Kudos to all the other systems tho, i really love the passion of the ascension team and the design they are able to create. But for some reason i am able to enjoy SoD more than i have on Ascension the last years. Always love to watch these videos tho xD
Just started playing ascension the other day, first season. I got super lucky with my timing. I've always enjoyed the "build your own class" stuff so I hopped on instantly. XD Great content man. I am having an issue where I found an in world talent, picked it up on one char and now i can't find the card that i was given in the hud. I made a new char to try to make use of it, couldn't find it. Went back to pick it up pre lvl 10, can't pick it up again. So I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong. I'm Kimakeru on Elune.
Hulia: The new spells and talents as well as the manastorm dungeon is what ive been missing for a while. I cant wait to push my solo builds in the manastorm
As a casual player, I really like this season so far. Not being able to build properly is actually what I like, as it - at least for me - reduces the sweatyness. And I love manastorm as solo content, even though I think it should be tuned better. As soon as the trash mobs get these crazy buffs somewhat frequently, they become ten times more deadly as any boss. Oh and if you pick me: Galahandra

the first trip to 60 was a little rough but after doing re rolls i've ended up with an insane AoE dark apothy build and having heaps of fun with it! divine storm, fan of knives, arcane explosion and i have the boomer talent which makes an explosion when i use immolate sometimes. keen to re build it properly when i get the cards i want. -chonks
I never thought I would have a blast playing season 9, I rolled Dark apotheosis too, and man it’s powerful, the best part about dark apotheosis is they can LITERALLY use any ability, I rolled Stormstrike so I get a chance to roll lava lash or lava sweep, and I’m also trying to roll for sunder soul, but this season is stronger than ever
Name is Buggo! Season 9 seems great! However I'm totally on board with you in terms of RNG. My first run through 95% of my talents and abilities were useless. I had 5 combo finishers with 0 builders 😂
IGN- Mitsukie Yeah I did the same thing as you with Apth and when I got 60 rerolled as well. I agree about the fact of random skills and talents that are unuseable. Ended up getting so many combo spenders or shapeshifting only skills when I didn't have a shapeshift or combo builder. None the less loving it also, and love the work keep it up bro.
Krapp - havin a lot of fun with adventure mode solo. Trying a sword and board build and got Bulwark as my first ability out of the starter zone. Just need some bags in all honesty

Loving Manastorm so far, minus the crashes, but overall having a great time. Currently running a decent build using Strength dual wield Shadow Waste Bolt, Stormstike, Crusader Strike mess that actually does big damage. -Jakeob

I'm strangely enjoying season 9, I too have been shafted on luck but I've managed to reroll my way into something semi-playable, I've also managed to make a Gnome called Millhouse which I am very happy about. Manastorms are a bunch of fun too! Hope you enjoy it

I have completely forgotten about the Manastorm and will try it very soon xD I am lvl 47 and have so much useless garbage, I only use 4 skills and all my talents are dogpoop. I really hate the RNG tbh. Also how do you get a REs this season? There are not on the items you get. Do you just start rerolling that random thingy on the altar? But I only get so few orbs despite spamming dungeons.... This has to be my worst experience in Ascension by far. - Moovit
S9 name Zeza Had a crazy modifier where we got bone zone and those tornado thinigs aoe cleared down a large pack and 3 bone zones and 2 tornadoes spawned and juggled me between them and i'm loving it ty for the content dooby

You must not be running as a tank or healer. For dps, it is mostly fine. For a tank and healer, not so much.

wanted to do a corrupted bear run....just to notice that corr bear is pure rng and not an enchant....sad. Not a big fan of randomized talents tbh.

Crazycurser - it's a fun change of scene, I'm very much a collecter in games so playing completely random makes it fun for me for now.

Halon. As a brand new player its been a blast. A bit overwhelming but Manastorm more then makes up for it. Level 67 and pushing.

the first trip to 60 was a little rough but after doing re rolls i've ended up with an insane AoE dark apothy build and having heaps of fun with it! divine storm, fan of knives, arcane explosion and i have the boomer talent which makes an explosion when i use immolate sometimes. keen to re build it properly when i get the cards i want. -chonks
I never thought I would have a blast playing season 9, I rolled Dark apotheosis too, and man it’s powerful, the best part about dark apotheosis is they can LITERALLY use any ability, I rolled Stormstrike so I get a chance to roll lava lash or lava sweep, and I’m also trying to roll for sunder soul, but this season is stronger than ever
There's no ability weighting, so rolling Stormstrike doesn't make you any more likely to roll Lava Lash or Lava Sweep. It's 100% random.

Name is Buggo! Season 9 seems great! However I'm totally on board with you in terms of RNG. My first run through 95% of my talents and abilities were useless. I had 5 combo finishers with 0 builders 😂

Yeah I did the same thing as you with Apth and when I got 60 rerolled as well. I agree about the fact of random skills and talents that are unuseable. Ended up getting so many combo spenders or shapeshifting only skills when I didn't have a shapeshift or combo builder. None the less loving it also, and love the work keep it up bro.
Krapp - havin a lot of fun with adventure mode solo. Trying a sword and board build and got Bulwark as my first ability out of the starter zone. Just need some bags in all honesty

I was very excited for all the changes and was gonna comeback to play but then i heard that its wildcard and that shot down any excitement that i had.
@@TheAbyssrowouldn’t be too bad if they kept lucky cards etc but having 2 normal cards and 0 lucky cards before even getting into random talents… some people gonna prestige and save marks for a month and still get a trash build, the rng is way too much

Loving Manastorm so far, minus the crashes, but overall having a great time. Currently running a decent build using Strength dual wield Shadow Waste Bolt, Stormstike, Crusader Strike mess that actually does big damage.

I, personally, have been having a blast with Manastorms - reported some of the bugs that got addressed since Tasty is quick with the chain of command. It's going to be the mainstay for Season 9 no doubt!

I'm strangely enjoying season 9, I too have been shafted on luck but I've managed to reroll my way into something semi-playable, I've also managed to make a Gnome called Millhouse which I am very happy about. Manastorms are a bunch of fun too! Hope you enjoy it

I am lvl 47 and have so much useless garbage, I only use 4 skills and all my talents are dogpoop. I really hate the RNG tbh.
Also how do you get a REs this season? There are not on the items you get. Do you just start rerolling that random thingy on the altar? But I only get so few orbs despite spamming dungeons.... This has to be my worst experience in Ascension by far.

S9 name Zeza Had a crazy modifier where we got bone zone and those tornado thinigs aoe cleared down a large pack and 3 bone zones and 2 tornadoes spawned and juggled me between them and i'm loving it ty for the content dooby
