Just a point about pacers that some people may find interesting...If you don't care please feel free to skip my comment. FWIW, a magnet won't set off a pacemaker. That's how they switch the whole thing off and on without having an external switch. You have to be able to turn it off in case there's some kind of problem with the device. (IE, it shocks the hell out of you constantly even when it shouldn't and starts to get your heart muscle medium well done). Problem is, it doesn't take any kind of special magnet to do it. Any magnet that's strong enough will work. Enter the knife sheath into this equation. I very much doubt that thing is strong enough to turn off the device, but people with pacers have to be extra careful of that kind of thing because they very well might not know their pacer got turned off until their heart loses the plot and they end up in the hospital or worse. Especially since you can't see the magnet, it's a good idea to warn people it's in there.
Its heft and handle comfort along with the steel and toughness and grind ... bingo. A ,keeper, and I was ready to send it back in a heart beat. The blade I got is near perfect. The blade/tang lines ... so unique, elegant actuall and satisfying to look at. The handle is the most comfortable handle I have ever wrapped my hand around. Solid design in every way IMHO
All respect to you Chris but still waiting to see an overnighter from you, backpacking from the front steps to nearby woods. You know, cooking something, whittling something, testing gear, that would be a great video especially with a bit of weather. Thanks for your integrity and keeping the channel real.
I bought my BushcrafterII when it first came out. I love it! Natural micarta and mosaic pins- it's a beaut. The sheath that came with yours is different than I received and it looks like an upgrade over mine- I'll have to ck out DLT and see what they're going for.
At 5:58 you got me Chris. You get 2 punches on me (if I ever see you lol) cause I definitely looked at the circle. Another beautiful knife from Bark River. I'm still saving my money to get the Jessmuk though.
I bought three Bark River Puukko knives and here is my only complaint! The problem is with the leather sheaths. The leather sheaths are rather short for the size of the Puukko. (The knife keeps falling out!) The Puukko's are the only knife I cannot safely carry because of fear of losing the knife... (Bark River leather sheaths suck when compared to LT Wright.)
Beautiful knife, a little to thick for my liking. A JRE sheath might be a good leather option. Thin vs thick with blades, sometimes it's hard finding a happy medium. Atb Sean
That seems to be a common theme on most of knives I buy, love the knife, could care less for sheath. Usually buy a custom. Of course Victorinox SAK is one of my fav and I don’t need a sheath on that one. Have a review on it too.
Looking to get my first Bark River. Not sure if I should go with the Bushcrafter 2 or Wilderness 5. Any feedbacks or comparison on them? I do love the Loveless design look of the Wilderness 5.
Remember the TV show Malcolm in the middle? Remember when they used to put their finger and thumb in a circle and get their budy to look at it? And if they got them to look at it they punched them? Lmao got em!
I love Bark River. I have a couple of different ones. And I love each one for a different reason. They are beautiful in the hand and I’m a female with medium to large hands and I have no issue with the handle size with or without liners.
Great video Chris. BR never disappoints! Would've like to have gotten Will's input on it though. (And gotten a laugh outta listening to him complain about you handing him a knife.) Where is Mr. Meyer anyway? Haven't seen anything from him in a while. I know he was loosing some weight. Did he dwindle away to nothing? Lol (jk) If you cant give out any info on him, at least say whether he is doing ok or not. Some of us out here miss him.
Wouldnt that sheath make the knife ride to high ? Just asking as i made my own knife and the sheath got screwed when i put the the slot the belt goes through to high.
A blade stock as thick as that - why not go for one of the Bravo series if you want a sharpened pry bar? At least those have a higher grind to make the blade marginally usable for cutting tasks. Even the Bushcrafter I would do well with a thinner stock. Somewhere between it and the ULB (which totally rocks). Just my opinion!
It's not THAT thick. The "sharpened prybar" designation is generally for 1/4" or thicker knives. This is closer to say...A BK7. Remember when the PLSK1 (ugh) was all the rage? That was the norm for a while.
While I do have thinner blades and super steel knives, I never choose a primary knife any thinner than 3/16ths...and I prefer O1 and 1095 or 1084. I don't fault anyone who chooses thin 3v knives, but simple carbon steels will always perform to meet any standards put to it... so, I personally, can't see spending $250-$300 (though i have and do love those knives) when I can get a awesome TOPS or Becker and they will do the job just fine. Who cares if you have to strop it every once in a while...I enjoy maintaining my knives even in the field. BYW, are you gonna do a review of the 20th anniversary Tex Creek (CPM154)? Most places are charging well over $200 but SMKW have them for $187.
My Grandfather used to carry his Bark River scout-style.....he fell down once on his back.....the knife reset his bladder-stimulator and now he can piss his name in the snow just like he was 12 again!!
It looks like the sheath is literally the exact same sheath as the other Bushcrafter which is smaller... the sheath is alright for the smaller one, but the Aurora has the bast sheath I’ve seen from bark river
The Aurora sheath is called the" highland " and it's my second fav after the cub sheath. Apparently a new sheath design is in the works for the Aurora, hope it's good lol.
You chipped it,the knife would not cut all the way through the paper.I'm a bark river fan but you could definitely see the chip half way down the blade when it was glinting in the sun.🙈
the two kinds of videos my girlfriend oh so hates to see me watchin on YT, bikini babes fishing (cause i don't give a rat's fuckin ass for the fishes) and PM101 (for financial reasons)

I got my Grandmother a Bark River for her birthday.....it reset her pacemaker...... now she can bushcraft faster than Ray Mears!!

My roommate and I are in total agreement, the electric bill can wait a few weeks to get paid. Great knife I like the fact it’s “Bigger “ Thanks Chris

The dude is a mall ninja
And you're a nobody. 🤷♂️
Yep. That certainly is a knife. I know them when I see them
Erich Diehl I know them also, because I purchased the first production and am still infatuated with this knife!👍🇦🇺
That was great ! Bark River never disappoints ! Definitely worth the money , no doubt !
Beautiful piece of everyday kit. Something you know will have your back if you are just working around the homestead or SHTF.

I really like the Bark River blades, buy I don't like the sheaths
I know exactly what u mean
Which sheaths do you recomend?
Got one of these and glad they redesigned the handle for this run, it's now more coke bottle shaped, way more comfortable.
Yes I just got one and noticed this
@@jackchueh1231 ya like it? The old one was too fat on the end and had no contour , the coke bottle makes more sense for more hand sizes.
Stabby beautiful knife, my only gripe is that the edge angle could be a little thinner. But it came sharp but will need a little reprofiling...

I'm looking forward to the feathersticking with a flashlight😁
I wonder if one could start a fire focusing a strong flashlight beam through a magnifying lens? That would be different.

This may be my next knife purchase....looks perfect!

Lovely traditional bushcrafter, contrary I like the sheath, especially the scout option.
Superbe couteau qui doit être polyvalent pour le bushcrafter et un super dising .
Good video and review!
I have a Bravo 1, so it doesnt make sense to get a Bushcrafter!
Chris great knife, I have too many knives both fixed blade and tactical folders, thanks for sharing.
Bel video👍potrei sapere il nome del suo coltello preferito in questo video? Grazie
That is a good looking knife. Once and thick with enough handle for my hands. I think I may have to save up for that.
Sweet looking knife!
Love the black handles.
Love the look if that knife!!
That seems to be a common theme on most of knives I buy, love the knife, could care less for sheath. Usually buy a custom. Of course Victorinox SAK is one of my fav and I don’t need a sheath on that one. Have a review on it too.
Great review on one of my favourite Bark River!
My ultra light bushcrafter limited addition g10 Elmax with brass pins might be feeling lonely.
Wow. Such a beautiful tool.
Just did a first test on my new Bushcrafter, if ya want to see how this knife handles Cedar from down here in Texas
Looks like a great knife. I can put that on my list of knives to get.
Great looking knife Chris. I like it. Thank you for sharing this video. 🤗
Were I can buy the bark river bushcraft 2 cpm3v?
Spendy blades but they look awesome, are all their handles polished micarta or can ya get bead blasted scales?
Complimenti per il video👍 Ps...puoi dirmi il nome del tuo coltello in cintura? Grazie
Looking to get my first Bark River. Not sure if I should go with the Bushcrafter 2 or Wilderness 5. Any feedbacks or comparison on them? I do love the Loveless design look of the Wilderness 5.
Nice knife. Wish list item after I got the jessmuk and her little sister!
Nice knife. Compares to the Lt Wright knife. Both look pretty sweet. 👍
Do you carry the tope recon anymore????? You loved that knife.
Remember the TV show Malcolm in the middle? Remember when they used to put their finger and thumb in a circle and get their budy to look at it? And if they got them to look at it they punched them? Lmao got em!
love this knife great video Chris what camera are you using, looks great
I gave you a "Thumbs up" for the review and the "Seven" reference...classic LMAO

condor in micarta is a good bushcrafter
Love the knife. Put it on the list.
Hey chris would you compare this to a tops bob. I mean not in materials but size an length, an thickness
Compare to Benchmade bushcrafter...your thoughts.
Finally a BRK vid👍🏻
What's the difference between the ultra lite bushcrafter an the Highland special, I know the metal, as my Highland is in A2
Wouldnt that sheath make the knife ride to high ? Just asking as i made my own knife and the sheath got screwed when i put the the slot the belt goes through to high.

What's simular knife you recommend? Since these are impossible to find....
Optics Planet has them.
Do you know how to get the sheath in this video!?
Sold 2 knives, but this baby is on its way... Black matte...
Very nice and quality knife 🔪👍😉
Probably out of my reach, but I like it ☺️
To bad I can’t afford it. But it looks amazing.
great video
Would have preferred a 5 inch blade in A2
Awesome knife!
Keep it!!!!
That leather sheath looks far too short for the Bushcrafter 2 knife!
Don’t own a Bark River, but I sure have a lot of Blackjacks.
coastiekevink i suggest you get a bark river. They’re expensive but they are so sweet.
Look's like a beast. 👊💀
I just picked one up from the local steak house.
Where is Will?
Nice

No Estes feathers you’ve made. Scandi wins.
Do you just talk, or actual camp out and go use those knifes.
