I still can't believe ppl don't know him much in the US considering he got nominated for Tony Awards for his role as Valjean on Broadway. I'm a Metallica fan and yet remember him from his performance in POTO at the 25th anniversary.

Scott Hamp Ramin mentioned in an interview that he only sings the classic _Til' I Hear You Sing_ version when there's a music ensemble. He generally performs the modern rendition when there's just a band so his voice doesn't overwhelm the music.
