Mark Borgemyer was the the guitar tech for Drenning and and anyone else in the SRQ area who wanted their axe set up razor sharp. Great guitar player locally known for decades, great choice to fill those shoes!
People are going to love this new version of crimson glory! Travis is a wailing vocalist and Mark is a excellent guitarist extroadanare Ben has been a best friend of mine since the band was called baowolf Dana and Jeff are good friends too ! Hope everyone enjoys the return of the Glory 🤘🤘🎸👍😎
I love this song. Glad to have the band back making new music. I love the past stuff but I refuse to be stuck living there. I’m going to root for the current version going forward. Great review.
Definitely a worthy come back of one of the most precious bands ever! There is the strong presence of the Crimson Glory DNA with a sip of Queensryche vibes, coming mostly from the vocal performance in my opinion. I truly hope to hear some high razor cutting vocals in the forthcoming songs to transcendentally blow us away the way only Crimson Glory have ever done!
Saw them headline Keep it True Rising in Wurzburg last week. I've been a HUGE Midnight fan since the first day I heard Transcendence in 88, actually met him in 04 and we became friends. Having said that, Travis was absolutely amazing. He perfectly nailed the songs live.
I'm a big fan too!! I saw them in small club (The Venue?) in Edinburgh in 1989, they were utterly incredible! I regularly play the first two albums. This new one sounds great must get it!!!
The guitar riffs are heavy and crushing. Definitely a hallmark of how great Ben Jackson is. I know, because I played with him in Avenging Benji. Great things ftom CG are coming. And Borgy is gonna shred faces on the leads.
Yes, this one's a grower for sure. First time I was like... Hmm. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. But hey, what's better - this version of CG after all these years, or no CG at all? I'll go with this version. Hopefully they have more nice surprises for us.
Back in the day, these guys never got airplay in my neck of the woods, so I missed out on them and never became a huge fan. To me, this song has enough of the old sound to have continuity, but different enough to be a good progression and not be a cheap copy. Really dig it and looking forward to hearing more.
Interesting info from "Wiktionary": Triskaideka definition: Thirteen. Origin: From Ancient Greek τρεισκαίδεκα (treiskaideka, “thirteen”), from τρεῖς (treis, “three”) + καί (kai, “and”) + δέκα (deka, “ten”). Get well soon, Crimson Glory brother from another mother! 🤘😎
I think your statement a grower is making sense. The first time I heard the song I was not very enthusiastic but after more listenings, it's getting better and better. I like the vocals and the prog meets rock/metal sound. Looking foreward to the album.
Never heard of them believe it or not but I had to listen twice cos didn't like it first time and had to re listen as you were so effusive about it. Yeah, it is very good. Quite different.
I like the music. I've never disliked their stuffs... I love their 3rd and 4th works as much as the first two. The vocal tracks however frustrate me a lot. Midnight was the true one and only, thought nobody would had been able to copy him till I found mystique. Wade had his own voice, powerful, cold, sarcastic and sometimes satanic. My 96 year old grandma would easily distinguish his voice from thousands of heavy metal singers' .Todd in Crimson Glory was imo just an inferior and less emotional version of Midnight, maybe technically better, but at least he reminded us of good old days... Travis Wills, I just feel like they randomly picked up a vocal from a pack of mediocre power metal bands, I can feel nothing stunning from his voice. If they want to give up Midnight's legacy and change the direction of the band, their choice should be someone like Wade. The singer will kill the good songs.

That was pretty awesome! One of my all time faves from them is Mayday. Midnight sounds like he broke glass on that tune!

This song rips!🎸🎸
That singer sounds like Empire era Geoff Tate . great find!
I am excited now to hear the rest of the album
looking forward to this...theres some parts of this guys voice that so reminds me of the late great Midnight.

Did you review Fifth Angel’s when angels kill? I gave it 2023 album of the year.
I didn't review the album, but did reactions
Horror metal? Very erie tones and lyrics.
