@@art-toons2522 oh definitely agree!! i visited back in 2018 and it was an absolute DELIGHT ! ;v; I feel like you could spend hours in there and still not see every little detail...
Who is sitting around one day and thinks, hummmmm, I think a mechanical old man who barfs into a barrel of bottles would be awesome! I was eating breakfast. Now I need a barrel to barf in. Ha.
i figured youd find marvins eventually i worked at the tj maxx right around the corner and at the end of almost everyday id go in and see something new on the walls or even the ceiling i never noticed before its one of my favorite places to go to such a busy environment and very fun
Okay, I love this strange museum! There are oddities galore in here. And you can put your own quarters in there. You don't have to have tokens. I love those old school attractions. Kind of terrifying, but interesting at the same time. Especially the baby with two heads. I also like the Chuck E. Cheese/Pizza Time Theatre props. We used to have a place called Looney Bird's where I live. I don't know if you remember it, but it was sort of like a smaller Chuck E. Cheese. I remember we had my sister's birthday party there. Now we have a Chuck E. Cheese across the street that replaced that. The Looney Bird's is abandoned now. The shopping center it was in pretty much has died. There's not but one or two stores in the whole place. It is across the street from the mall though and that's where the Chuck E. Cheese is. Malls are getting abandoned too due to people shopping online. So what they're doing with malls is they're trying to restore the malls into centers for Hispanic families to go and celebrate their culture. That's a great thing they're doing with that. They're preserving Hispanic culture and that's good because Hispanics are fixing to be a large majority of the population. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
2:10 "Marvin's Marvelous Monkey Band" Monke Hall Bottom Text also, everybody gangsta til the Laughing Sailor breaks out of the booth I just thought of this: Five Nights At Marvin's
I know, you liked that place! What was it like being in there first-person? It looks neat and very exciting to go to! I would like to try that place out! Be a kid again!
Super weird coincidence just happened to me. I watched this video a few weeks ago, and then recently (in the last week or so) I've gotten back into the band Tally Hall. It turns out their first album is named after this place. I knew of the album before I saw the video, but I hadn't thought about it in years so it didn't click with me that it was the same name. So I was Googling the album, and the real place turned up, so I was surprised to discover it was real. Then suddenly this video came back into my mind, and I was like "wait, didn't I watch a Carpetbagger video about that place?" And it turns out I was right. Kind of a roundabout story, I know, but I thought it was kind of funny. Incidentally, if you're reading this and you haven't listened to Tally Hall, go check them out. I particularly recommend "Good Day", "Banana Man", "Hidden in the Sand" and "Turn the Lights Off." (The last is my favorite right now. They all have excellent music videos, but especially that one.)
Tally Hall was the name of a 1980's upscale food court with 20 small restaurants in Hunter's Square Mall, where Marvin's is now. That is probably where the band got its name.
A fool and his quarters are soon parted. No really I always wanted to go there. I have collected coin operated stuff for many years. His place is too claustrophobic for me.
Half of the machines in there are lame and a waste of your quarters. But some are really fun and awesome. Would recommend. And also In Ann Arbor there is an arcade Called Nickel’s Arcade and that’s pretty fun as well
Jeezzzzz a beheading???? A torture chamber too? Two people dancing immodestly!!! Riding bikes to death! Was that you flying in the diaper? Just kidding. And laughing triggers your "youth" hormones for a longer life. That clown will live forever. Thanks and keep laughing. Noise overload from all the poultry. Had to leave on the puke box.
i really want to go there... mostly because of Tally Hall X"D
same
I'm probably going to actually go here, it seems cool and tally hall.
Tolopic- it’s free to go in and use quarters to activate the machines. I know I’m two months late but I still had the urge to reply.
Completely worth the road trip, free to go in, eye candy everywhere you look. Tucked back behind a strip mall area ... AMAZING!!!
@@art-toons2522 oh definitely agree!! i visited back in 2018 and it was an absolute DELIGHT ! ;v; I feel like you could spend hours in there and still not see every little detail...
Woah, this place actually exists? I thought it was just a thing in a tally hall song.
Not only that, it's located in the Tally Hall shopping plaza where they got their band name.
@@eldrichhorror6976 it's like a loop hole😂
Insane
I loved and still love this place. RIP Marvin
Wow, he has some of the Pizza Time Players! That's awesome!

Kat Willhite Thanks for the warning, I've had a serious phobia of vomit since I was little and got a chance to cover my screen thanks to your comment.

Really awesome video man! Love the support for local businesses as a Michigan local, keep it up. :)
Also, I had my birthday party here when I was younger :)
Was it a terrifying or exciting bday?
I always try to beat the chicken game, there's one one uncovered undecorated inch of space!
The sneaky Barry B. Benson cameo in the Laughing Sailor attraction killed me
Not sure if you heard but Marvin passed away a few years ago, Marvelous marvins is still in operation and better than ever
It's really sad to hear about Marvin's death. This museum is the best one I've seen. Tally Hall should come back...........
What a great Place ! Thanks for sharing!

It's a wonderland
The Carpetbagger Do the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics there still work?
You should visit Marceline, Missouri where Walt Disney grew up and go see the museum and his family home/ inspiration barn.
At 3:09, you'll BEE very surprised by who you see near the sailor.
I actually live in farmington hills and its right next to the place I get my hair cut! I never knew that it was so close to my home

The Carpetbagger the best band in my opinion
The Carpetbagger They're great, they sort of remind me of They Might Be Giants with all the different styles they do and such.

What a disturbing collection! What's the deal with the vomiting old robot at 6:15?
Tally Hall anyone?
