  • In this video we show how we heat our house. The wood heating begins usual in October and continues till April. Depending the weather, we heat the house 2 to about 5 times a week. In the summer time is no need to heat the house. If it's cold summer days, it's enough to put the fire in the kitchen stove. We have also video of that... check our playlist HOMESTEAD
    The winter lasts here about 7 months. Beginning of this winter was quite mild, only -10°C, so we already knew, that the very cold days surely will follow... and they did! The cold period was January and February. Coldest night was -40,8°C and days about -30°C to 20°C. But it was warm and nice inside the house :)

      Yes, first in April to melt the snow quicker. Then later drive off aphids from plants

      That's nice hear! Yes, every time, also from sauna stove. So I have many big buckets of ash to put to the garden in spring to melt the snow quickly😀
