make sure you’re cleaning off the rosin from your strings every time you’re done playing, it would mostly be your strings. I just realized you said that 15years ago wth… I hope you’re doing well and finally learned to play it lol

Maisky's interpretations of he bach suites are just brilliant... By far the best on youtube. The timing is so impeccable. Even if you would play it a different way you can't fault what he does.
wow. i played this for a NYSSMA solo about three years ago, and one of the pieces of advice that my adjudicator gave me was that i should use more expression. its nuts to have played this piece so in time and so flatly for months and then to hear it played so beautifully and rubato now. amazing.
Dude i remember waking up for 3rd grade just listining to this and playing this game called dishonered. honestly the best thing when i just let my alarm keep playing. love this so much

I'm learning courante, as I've already memorized prelude and sort of know how to play most of Allemande. I want to play at this speed, but it's simply unhuman. I twitch when I start trying to play this fast- it truly takes a master to play this fast.
I haven't played my cello since I graduated from college last year, but this has really inspired me to start practicing again. I used to know the first three Bach suites pretty well, and I can't believe I just..... stopped. Shame on me :(

Once you realise that, you need to choose for yourself what to believe, whether that Jesus is the Son of the Living God or that He`s a liar. The choice is yours. This life is about making THE CHOICE..
When you practice as much as these guys do memorizing a piece like this comes as second nature. And just a friendly FYI cellist (and most if not all orchestral musicians) do not use tabs, they read sheet music =)
Even though it's a courante, i prefer to play this a bit slower. But of course that changes it completely but still... And before people start trolling, i never said i didn't like this version;)
@purpleviolababe not necessarily; in general yes, but you can't apply that as a rule. for example the allemande of this suite has rubato and espressivo written right in at the top.
@notethisname well maybe i will record it sometime, but at the moment i don't think it's even worthy enough to be uploaded on youtube. But someday if i feel confident enough, i'll record it :)
