  • This next step from our Modern Dance Workout class concentrates on using and moving the legs. It's great for toning the leg muscles and building strength in the feet - perfect if you love wearing heels. It'll give your legs better definition and shape. Note how teacher Alexx stresses the Ballet elements of the exercise - good turn out from the hips will engage more muscles and mean that you'll get greater benefit from the routine.     I love ballet, but unfortunately there are no classes for me, an overweight adult, to go to. Thanks for the online videos.

      Hello Susan. There should be no barriers to dancing because you think you're overweight - elegance of movement is for absolutely everyone. Have a look at our clips from our Ballet for adult beginners class starting here - ruclips.net/video/_rxLKJPByTI/видео.html

      Agreed, however, there are no available studios around here where I live at to assist me to dance. I have always loved ballet and took a few classes as a teenager only to have the teacher move away abruptly. So, I never had an opportunity to have classes again.

      +Anamya Anurag No, most dance-based moves like this will tone, strengthen and elongate your muscles. Dancers don't tend to look 'bulked up' right? Neither will you. Just enjoy your exercises!
