FOR EV CARS TO WORK EFFICIENTLY. You would drive to the DRIVE-THUR Battery Exchange Center. It's well lite-up safe and clean. The service attendant replaces the 4---80--- pound batteries. From the back top trunk space. Then puts in, 4 fully recharge batteries, he locks them in place. All done in 10 minutes, you still have time to pick-up a coke or coffee at the same time. As the attendant checks your tires PSI and cleans your windows. THE BATTERIES, are recharge at the POWER PLANT. THEN put on pallets then put back on SEMI- TRUCKS. I think there is more to it why they do this.
1: they want to make the most money right up front.
2: they have limited building power and need to the most money to make it something more.
3: they want to skip 50 levels and be noticed as a high end brand.

Maybe I’m in the minority but EVs take a lot more technical knowledge to work on than your average car (also why I think he disses bmws as well since you have to know your way around computer software to work on them) and they typically require less maintenance so of course a mechanic on RUclips is going to diss them…
I’ve owned many cars of all makes as well as a Tesla for a couple of years and they truly are the future for the average auto buyer. If you factor in how much less maintenance they require and the fact that they will only get cheaper, more of the masses will adopt them. Traditional auto mechanics will have to adapt eventually but it will take awhile for all this to happen obviously.
It's too late for Ford...they went balls deep on these electric trucks and when you read the reviews, very few are truly satisfied with them. They took a gamble and lost...I reckon it'll take at least 2 years to really get these things on track. They need to extend the range, shorten the charge time and make them work in cold weather, period. Oh, and not catching on fire would be nice, too.

Yes, it happened about 4 miles down the road from my house. It was a Tesla back in 2016.
Unfortunately, this is a common problem. Google EV house fire and there are plenty of stories nationwide.
The whole point of electric cars and trucks is not to get everyone driving an electric car. It’s to get the masses not driving a car at all. Public transit and in rural area forcing large numbers of people to urbanize. Urbanization = easier more effective control. From that perspective it’s not what people want. It’s how they perceive things. And in this reality we all know that perception can be easily manipulated.
That ford lightning is a complete POS. I know a guy who likes fancy shiny stuff. Paid way too much for a Ford lightning in North Dakota in the fall. Drove 200 miles to pick it up. TRIED to drive it home on the freeway with a modest ND headwind of 20 mph a little below 30F. He had to run it with the heat off and had to charge it 3 times to get it 200 miles home.... He promptly returned it the next day for a full refund. Heard others are having similar issues in the cold weather then the batteries die.
And he was not even towing or hauling, imagine how many charges he would of needed with a 10,000lb load and the heat on high, radio on high, and items plugged in.
Maybe take a look at what other shiny things he can buy for $100k. Things that actually WORK!

Electric utility rates are scheduled to double within the next couple months...that means electric vehicle's fuel/energy costs will double in price.
Think of that happening at the pump...(and there's not much sign of it coming down). Will be a zero advantage (or a bigger disadvantage) for electric car owners.
I DID find my next electric vehicle, it's parked right next to my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Don't really have to think to hard on it. Gas prices, in my area, have doubled, with the current administration
Those of us who are smart enough to NOT buy an EV gets screwed by the higher power bills along with the increased gas taxes.
@Jim Stokes It's not an administration issue when you realize that the previous administration begged opec to cut production because the low prices at the pump were hurting American oil companies. Also, supply chain issues with relaxing pandemic restrictions leading to increased demand equals higher gas prices.

What’s your opinion on the best brand of fuel to use? I read that the gas with Techron is better (Chevron or Texaco)?
Use fuel labeled Top Tier. This is sold at every major brand name, including Shell, BP, Mobile, etc and including Quicktrip but not Kroger (except co-branded with Shell), Racetrack, and other cheapo gasoline outlets. Top Tier gasoline pumps will have a small decal on the pump indicating such. Top Tier gas is said to be 19 times cleaner than non Top Tier gas. What about Techron? Yes, I personally tested Techron back in the 1990s while employed as a test engineer for a major vehicle manufacturer and yes, it removes carbon as advertised. I think Top Tier gas may be an extension of this.
They are the same. When testing fuel quality at the shop, there is no difference. The worst fuels tend to be the cheapest because of over-diluting with ethanol.
Techron is patented and is the only cleaner made for removing sulfur contamination from the fuel system
So then, Top Tier brands with Techron would be the better choice?
@@pazenmaz
Chevron and Texaco are the only brands that have it. But you can buy bottles of it at auto zone or Wal mart
Top Tier was developed by the oil companies working together. They claim it is "19 times cleaner" than discount gas, yet it's only a few pennies more per gallon.

Scotty, I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited with the 2.0 L engine it usually runs great but lately I have been getting a check engine light with a P0172 Lynn fuel system, rich code. How do I fix it?
Hi Scotty Electrical Engineer at Wayne State University I love your videos and have been watching you for years. I noticed in your videos that you have concerns about electric vehicles (EVs), and I'd like to address some of the points you raised, including range anxiety, affordability, and charge infrastructure.
Your factually correct reservations are not legally binding so I can't really argue with that.
Range anxiety is a valid concern for some people considering EVs. It's true that the range of EVs may vary depending on the model and driving conditions, and longer trips may require planning for charging stops. However, it's important to note that many modern EVs have significantly improved ranges that can meet the daily driving needs of most people. Additionally, advancements in battery technology are constantly improving the range and performance of EVs, reducing range anxiety over time.
Affordability is another concern you mentioned. While some EVs may have a higher upfront cost compared to traditional gas-powered vehicles, it's important to consider the total cost of ownership. EVs generally have lower maintenance costs, as they have fewer moving parts compared to internal combustion engines. Additionally, potential fuel savings and available incentives and tax credits for EV purchases can offset the upfront cost. Over time, as EV technology becomes more widespread and production scales up, we can expect to see increased affordability and accessibility of EVs.
You also mentioned concerns about EV charging infrastructure. It's true that the charging infrastructure for EVs is still developing, and there may be limitations in certain areas. However, it's important to note that the charging network is expanding rapidly, with more charging stations being installed in various locations, including public spaces, workplaces, and homes. As technology continues to advance, we can expect to see further improvements in EV charging infrastructure, including faster charging options and increased accessibility.
I noticed in your videos that you have concerns about electric vehicles (EVs), and one of the issues you mentioned is the risk of lithium fires, which are considered chemical fires. You're right, lithium fires in EVs can be a safety concern as they require specialized fire suppression methods due to the reactive nature of lithium with water and other substances. Using water can actually worsen the situation by acting as a catalyst for lithium combustion.
It's important to note that the automotive industry has safety protocols in place to address the risk of lithium fires in EVs. EV manufacturers use advanced battery management systems and multiple layers of protection to mitigate the risk of fires. Additionally, first responders are trained on how to handle EV-related incidents, including lithium fires, with specialized equipment and procedures.
While lithium fires are a concern, it's important to recognize that EVs, like any other technology, are subject to safety regulations and standards. Advancements in battery technology, such as improved thermal management systems and fire-resistant materials, are continually being developed to enhance the safety of EVs.
Also I am not affiliated with any company in my eyes every brand has made or will make a turd Its a scientific law. I coined it Pintos Law of manufacturing.

I was a Ford man from a Ford family mainly trucks until recently. The 2019 F150 I bought with the 3rd generation Coyote and 10 speed made me a believer to buy a Toyota. I sold my Ford and am very happy with my little Tacoma!!
What went wrong with your F150?
The Coyote is a great engine..what went wrong ?
It's hard to say something clever after Scotty. He's kinda' cornered the market on cuttin' through all the crap!
I love the rampant speculation and uneducated opinions in your videos. Totally awesome!
Can you do a take two of this video? And connect yourself to a blood pressure device so you know you can make it to the end that would be really helpful, thanks
Actually Scotty, Ford is expanding production of F150.
With new leadership.
Batteries are such an ecological disaster, why the deep committment to them
Because of FEELINGS.
the globalists are forcing them
So they can shut your car off for protesting the government. 15 minute cities.

*_Yes, EVs are part of an agenda!_*
Follow the money.....as with everything that is corrupt in our govt. Power and money, and we lose as always. If the masses don't start pushing back on these corrupt political piles of dung it will be over soon. At least send an email to your Senator and Rep. 50 million of those nasty emails might cause them to pause.
We have been back to work for several weeks now. No one has been fired yet. Yea batteries were and issue but it’s fixed.
The teams worked quickly to identify the root cause of the issue," Flake said. "We agree with SK’s recommended changes in their equipment and processes for SK’s cell production lines. SK has started building battery cells again in Commerce, Georgia. It will take SK time to ensure they are back to building high-quality cells and to deliver them to the Lightning production line
As part of our pre-delivery quality inspections, a vehicle displayed a potential battery issue and we are holding vehicles while we investigate. We are not aware of any incidences of this issue in the field." Motor Authority reported earlier today that F-150 Lightning pickups already at dealerships will be delivered to customers and are not affected by the order.
@@kubeanie18 Ford is famous for terrible vehicle launches.. annd then they end up with huge recalls.. I was on the inside in case you think I'm blowing smoke.. even these trucks will blow smoke for sure,,, lol 😆
@@francom6230 its been out for 2 yrs already and they found 1 vehicle with a supplier issue... there's no story here
@@kubeanie18 people just want EVs to fail lol. Technology is always advances. Range with these vehicles will advance like every other technology

Anheuser-Busch will be looking for some new executives.
They just need to hire Dylan Mulvaney to rep them.
I live near Lincoln Nebraska and have seen a couple at dealer lots but come to think of it have not seen one “in the wild”
shims have been in motorcycles since the 70s not hard to do and some shims will be tight fit some loose fit and can be switched around
She got hired like the Anheuser-Busch executive😂
I've posted it 1,000 times so I'll post it 1,001 - the only good EVs run on third rail.
And on overhead catenary wire 😉
I'd love to be able to get a Lucid :)
This video is great 😂💯
Ford is really intelligent. 🤪🤪🤪 I mean they spent several billions rehabiliting a 120 year old building for their research and development of these electric vehicles.
I'm not buying a new Ford. Nope...should have kept the Panther platform, the Econoline, the straight 6 motor, etc...
Hearing this brings a smile to my face 😁
This guy knows what he talking about.
Truth.
Live about an hour east of Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. I have seen four F150 Lightnings & two Mustang Mach E's in traffic only since the start of 2023! Lots of Telsa models on the road here but just don't see that electric pickup & this is truck country!!!
All of this ev madness is coming back to bite them in the butt
Who didn't see that coming?
Early EV's and hybrids (think Tesla and Toyota Prius) are beginning to reach the end of their battery packs life cycle. This is going to scale rapidly and if you can't get enough batteries for the new cars, how are you going to replace the batteries in older vehicles? Currently, the cost alone of a replacement battery is outside of what the average person can afford. This is going to get bad fast.
You can get ghe prius batteries rebuilt or replaced fairly cheap, but not from the stealerships
@T Anthony Thomas That may be the case at the moment. But the reality is that you still need the resources and materials to do so. As every auto manufacturer scales EV production, that will increase strain on supply chains and drive market prices upward on the materials needed for battery service.
@@RYTHMICRIOT I'm not a fan of EVs but the hybrids like prius are nice, Toyota got it right with that one, they are doing 300k plus and get great mileage
Nothing stops what is already tried, true and tested, so I'm holding on to my old, reliable V-6 "Mercury Cougar!!🙂👍🚘🌟
Maybe you should do a video of batteries that aren't lithium that could do the same jobs like hemp or molten salt or air batteries and help all the e-vehicles
Wish I could see the "demand" numbers for e vehicles. Lot of risk when a few years ago they barely made mustangs.
