We know it's a very hard situation right now in Sri Lanka and we want to do everything we can to support the locals 🇱🇰 We filmed this video a few weeks ago in March. We were unsure if we should post videos of our time in Sri Lanka, as we don't want to be ignorant of the fact that many people are struggling right now. But ultimately we decided to post our videos of Sri Lanka and hope that they can continue to show the beauty of this country during these tough times, especially because tourism is very important to the country.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️ you all are really meaningful to us. Thank you for giving your utmost love to our country .we love you all so much❤️stay safe❤️
If you go to the Adam's peak from Hatton side, you have to start climbing at least 10.00 p.m. the day before if you want to make it to the top before sunrise. Also, go there on a weekday. There are also other routes as well which normally people use to climb, one called Palabaddala route from Rathnapura, and another from Erathna. Both are longer than Hatton route, but less crowded. Erathna is the most beautiful route and the longest route which is through the forest. But, there is a clear path with stairs at some places. It's also the lesser crowded path. If you go from Erathna, you have to start the climb in the morning the day before. It's a quite nice One day hike. You can leisurely do it with enjoying the nature. there are a few waterfalls as well in that path along with lots of streams and wildlife. There are 7,8 stops as well with Huts and shops for you to rest and have a meal.
You tried the most difficult challenge in this April season. Weekends are more difficult... If you are interested try some other hike.... there are so many.....
Great content. You guys started a bit late. Generally if you start around 7pm in the night there would be much less crowd. Youll could climb upto the top maybe by 2am (with plenty of stops) and then get a nap and wakeup for the wonderful sunrise. Its really something nice to see up there. keep up the good content
Thanks! 🙂 Yeah, we wanted to plan it efficiently without losing too much sleep 😁 I think our plan would have worked if we had gone during the week, but I think this was also an especially full weekend, as the temple had been closed for quite a while before.
Such a lovely calm couple, no complain enjoyed what have done. Maybe you can do a little Adams peak in Ella. If I said that, I have never been there myself. Only seen the videos, because I bought them up in the Uk.look forward to seeing more of your videos.
brother sripadha is a sacred place and also a secret things are happenning. Its not just for sun rise or sun set its very sacred place. Two things to remember while climbing If some one say to say we not sure we can climb the will not be. By the way you have to start this by 4.00 pm evening and you will reach by 12.00 night then stay there till 5-6 morning You have missed supper journey and great experences by the way. Its a bleaaing journey rather just climbing a mountain Also there are 4 road ways to climb this and all 4 ways are same crowded but very interesting hope you will visit next time.
I have climbed 3 times top of the adams peak and every day I passed this lake place and wanted to vidit there. Actually that place is a really nice place too. Sad what you happend there in adams peak.
Oh my god..... ! In my life only one time climbed. It's a spiritual thing. if you are climbing Adam's spike you have to be good commitment. Before the climbed Adam's spike we are get spiritual approval from the god. We pray the god. I am 12 years old chilled when I climbing the mountain. Only my grandma with me ....other relatives, my mother & father ..they cannot climbed the mountain. They exhausted by climbing mountain.
Yes, it was definitely our own fault 😁 We knew that it was going to be full on a weekend, but we didn't have enough time to change our plans. It was still a great experience! 🙂
Do not climb Adams Peak at week ends, and public holidays in Sri Lanka. That days, there are huge queue to climb the mountain, because it is Sri Pada season. Try to climb on week days. that days, there are less crowded.
Yes, we'd love to have seen the view from the top, but that's just how it is sometimes. If we had had more time we would've planned it so that we would have visited on a weekday. Next time! 🙂
Well, we can't really say because we didn't get the full experience, but we've heard from many people that they loved the view from the top. It is a bit of a detour though, so I would only consider it if you've got enough time. I think we just went at a very busy time, as it was a weekend and Adam's Peak was just recently reopened. So if you go just make sure that it's during the week and not a public holiday.
as a sri lankan and also with not only one experience, but nearly 7 times I would say its one of the best experience you could get in sri lanka. its really worth the effort and time. if you really want to visit it don't go in weekends or sri lankan public holidays. also the season is from December to may. during the rest of the months we consider it as off season because its the monsoon season. with lot of rains it can be pretty hard to get to the top. also all of the shops and temples are closed during this period of time. i would highly recommend you to go in weekdays also in march or February. if you are an experienced climber you can go to the top within 3-4hrs or even less. but if you would like to go kinda slowly 5-6hrs would be enough to go to the top.
can you come evening like a 6.00 clock evening. That time not too much people. you have to go up Upstair very beautiful lika a paradise 🇱🇰 ❤ Love From Middle East
not sure why you put yourself through this? you seem quite sensible people, what's the deal with sunrise? you should have gone at lunchtime. it's just the same you know??
It's a good question, the risk/reward ratio for sunrise hikes isn't always very good. Overall it was just much busier than expected 😁 But sunrise hikes can be a great experience, if you don't mind getting up early. I think many travellers just like chasing great views, us included. Plus in the early morning it's not as hot. But for this hike we just underestimated the crowds and the people we asked told us it should be alright. And overall it was still a cool experience, just not the one we expected 🙂
Guys, you need to have a positive mind to climbs otherwise it's not easy....you guys were always negative minded since before the climb.....anyway have a nice journey....
@@ZoeandSimon Sripada season will end 15th May and after that no crowd. You can travel any time between May poya day to December poya day. But facilities are very less...
This is not Adam's peak .This is Sripada. For thousand years this sacred place was called Sripada in sinhalese kings' regemes.Only after Europeans came to Sri Lanka this place was called Adam's peak.

There is way to go Adam peack on another road, that is hard but the view is very beutiful
@@btsrunner1934 Yes, we heard of that one, we just didn't have enough time for that route on this trip 🙂

You guys are amazing...hope you enjoy the journey in SL.. Thanks for coming to here..love u both..❤️
You should never go there on weekends. but after going up the view is magnificent 😊
Yep, that's also the lesson we learned after this 😁
you can go there in off season. Usually people are not going there in May to December. Its Risky But super Beautiful.
Yes, that must also be really nice! 🙂

Those are good tips! Next time we would also from the other side and plan in more time 🙂
The Rathnapura route is quieter but it's not for the weak. I did it in 2018 and my legs were like jelly.
Your decision to go up no more is the right one because of the so much rush. I appreciate that you took the right step at the right time.
Yes, we still had a great experience! 🙂

Love your optimistic attitude!! Not everyone would have made the best out of this situation. I think I'd just be frustrated and go to bed 😂
