If any of Y'all like Vikings, I highly recommend checking out the anime and manga Vinland Saga. It takes place during the life of Cnut. While it's definitely not 100% historically accurate, the author takes great pride in representing the time period.

Yes, absolutely agreed, Vinland Saga is a brilliant anime and manga based on Vikings. I'd say it's definitely pretty great in its own ways of representing Vikings and the time period. The Author definitely takes pride in his representation of the time period while being very passionate about the story, characters and history.
Vinland Saga is amazing and There is alot of other great historical anime and manga that need recognition as well.
i also love watching/reading great Historical media in general.

Vikings: Ragnar and Rollo lived nearly 200 years apart.
Last Kingdom: nearly everything to do with the Mercians. Especially Aethelred.
It puzzles me why film studios butcher the actual history for added drama. The real stories are actually more amazing than the shows.

Especially if you study history like I do, watching shows and already knowing what's gonna happen because you studied it kind of takes the fun out of watching it. THAT SAID, it does still annoy me when they butcher the timeline anyway, especially when it comes to when certain people lived and died

You would have to wonder if she was the descendent of prisoners taken during Viking raids in North Africa/the Mediterranean but I HIGHLY doubt that’s what the writers were aiming for. Kinda like how there are now black elves on the upcoming LoTR tv series on Prime video.
