I like the show so far but it feels like it’s happening so quickly. I wanted more build-up and tension before the Bridge. I like the new characters. Leo Suter and David Oakes 😍 love their previous work

I was terrified that they would ruin the casting aspect of it.. But I was so impressed that they chose the right actors! Such a great show that doesn't make me compare to its predecessor every time I watch it, which is an issue with most shows that have spin offs.

Yes it's based on it - like 100 years later - but you dont need to know it. But why not watching this one first and Vikings original after - it's a feast for the eyes and ears - loved it :)

I think they would survive, some others more and some others less but the true is that always the people wanted a better life and for this reason our life today is better than the past but this it isn't true for all the people. Some people even today they live in poverty and war. Think about Syrian civil war, the war in Ukraine and others even the last 20 years. But, all the people need to agree to this that the war isn't always the solution to impove your life but the science, trade, communication, knowledge, arts, education, technology and good spirit are more guaranteed solutions to improve your life.

Interesting interview, I'm a bit late, just found out about the show :) I thought the dynamic between "pagans" and Christians and their worldview on faith and death was interesting. I believe the Christian perspectives on faith, courage, fear, and death are sometimes unjustifiably misrepresented on TV. Emma remains poised but I think it has more to do with intellect and "survival" skills than faith in God as her protector, refuge, and shield against threat. Christians didn't fear death (Daniel 3:16-30, 1 Samuel 17, Judges 4: 9, & Acts 7). This show is fairer towards Christian beliefs than others but I'm still careful bc I've taken the time to pick up the Bible :) But I just wonder if Christians will be portrayed with the same heroic characteristics as Scandinavians but only as seen in Jesus, David, Gideon, Joseph, Esther, Deborah, or the persistent widow (Luke 18), Bleeding Woman (Luke 8:43) or continue in cowardliness and complete lack of faith in God? Will they be portrayed as David or Nehemiah? I think the show attempts to be fair but exalts and promotes Scandinavian beliefs more? Could be me. its honestly getting boring watching scenes with Christians shaking uncontrollably, a behavior similar to Saul's army during his war with the Philistines bc he broke and lacked faith and disobedience, or deranged psychopaths coming in the name of God to promote a demented agendas (Jarl Kare)? Saul became like Nimrod, he thought he could lead Israel better than God. I notice Christians are typically portrayed like Saul, Nimrod, Ahab, Joash, or Cain more than those of faith and courage in God. Don't get me wrong, its expected, many pastors use Christianity to promote wealth. But I just wonder if the show will continue to exalt Scandinavian gods while dismissing the Christian perspectives of heroism, faith, courage, death, and fear? Will they explore God in the show like they explore Odin? Like I said, the show is fairer than others but I just wonder...bc Biblical characters share the same strength, resilience, courage, and faith, not always bc we're human. We are faulty and not perfect but I just wonder how Christianity will be furthered explored in the show. Especially for Vikings, who historically, converted to Christianity not out of political gain or protection but people who truly converted? Nice interview.

Wanted to love this show the story line didn't make sense. They proper butchered edmound, when in the day he was a warrior and cnut admired him so much he would often visit his grave. And jarl haakon who was in real life a man and a legend upon Scandinavian people in folk laws. Some scenes and bits where okay I really did like cnut though.

@@nathaliewilborts9869 He said he loved the vikings saga, not sure he meant vikings the tv series. I as a Dane hate vikings because of it's revisionism of my history... I also hate this sequel likewise and it's a shameless cultural misappropriation and its deliberate mischaracterization of historical people and events. It's so disrespectful it makes me sad.
Just as an example... The Japanese manga/anime the Vinland Sagas are better and much more accurate than this despite not even pretending to be authentic to history while also being unrealistic in the typical style of manga/anime.
