- Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 picks up after the bloody aftermath of the battle of Kattegut. The fate of our heroes, Harald Sigurdsson (played by Leo Suter) and Freydís Eiríksdóttir (played by Frida Gustavsson), but particularly Sam Corlett’s Leif Eriksson, are now up in the air. With new paths set before each of them, Season 2 will explore Harald’s bid for the crown in his half-brother, Olaf Haraldsson’s (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), absence and Freydís’ journey as "The Last Daughter of Uppsala," while Leif deals with the repercussions of Liv’s (Lujza Richter) death.
Since Valhalla Season 1, the series’ three mainstays, Corlett, Gustavsson, and Suter, have mastered tricky, physical combat and swordplay, and worked under different extremes of weather in some of the world’s most beautiful locations. In Season 2, the cast faces new journeys specific to their characters, branching off from the trio formed during the first season, and heading into the unknown, outside their comfort zones, as creator, Jeb Stuart, put it.
With Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 premiering on Netflix on January 12, 2023, Collider’s Steve Weintraub was able to speak with the three stars about their hit series. During their interview, each member of the cast discusses which season was the most challenging, teasing even more physical and emotional hurdles for the heroes in Seasons 2. They also discuss Leif and Harald’s progressing bromance in Season 2, the internal journey Freydís must take, give shout-outs to those making the series possible, and reveal what fans can expect from Season 3.

Love this series!!! Can’t wait for season 3. Keep it coming. I’m a huge Vikings lover
LOVE this series. And clearly, IRL, the cast was chosen for their similarities to the characters as well as their talents and looks. Leo is outgoing and articulate, Frida is confident, self-contained and elegant, and Sam is wise and generous with the mic. Perfect!
Season 1 and 2 done watching for literally a day watching non stop! waiting for Season 3 soon in Netflix.
I’m in love with these 3, on and off screen ❤ Thanks for this Collider 💕
Didn’t expect season 2 too be so much better than the 1st congrats
Season 2 is Soo good! One episode left!!
Freydis is my absolute favourite character on the whole series. As a mother and a warrior, warmhearted and compassionate towards her people and a demon towards her enemies. Very inspiring and for me a female role model :-)
Lagertha is better
@@decimustv4257 maybe... her final fight was truly epic
Freydis is definitely the smiling assassin love it, she’s such a great actress, however I love this cast, to come in and continue the kinging Saga of the amazing Vikings TV show, must of been a gamble and wow I think I speak for most of the fanbase bravo!
Love the show! Can hear my Somerled ancestors whispering... 💕
Can't wait for Season 3! I love these 3 so much! I love that their characters have growth individually, fulfilling their destiny etc. 😍
Appreciate you so much. Kudos to a beautiful show and work!🙏🏻🙌💕. Really enjoy watching
Excited to watch Season 3😊 Freydis😘
The guys look so different without their beards. It is weird seeing them having an interview when I have seen them as Vikings. 😂
Great show
Amazing show
Si alguien pudiera traducir porfa, gracias
I'll be honest it's not as great as the original vikings. But still it's good and has the potential to be better. I only saw season 1 and 2 in 2 days. So for me to watch the whole show in 2 days means its good. I'd love to see Fredeys get a visit from Lagertha or a Ragnor just to connect the shows and show her the path. I mean at the start of watching the show I was expecting someone related to Ragnors grand kids to be there I think Torvi had a kid still alive and Floki went to North America and Ubbe did. So is Lief going to do the same and find he ain't the first viking there. I don't know I guess Iv more questions than anything. The show has 8 episodes in each season and I prefer that to be fair. Looking forward to season 3 and more hopefully.
they're just doubling down on everything that was terrible about the original series. Terrible fake accents, biker leather, shieldmaidens galore, wooden plank acting that took over after they killed off ragnar in the first one, etc etc
@@googlename3859 I disagree. I think the writing and acting are much better (as in less fake dramatic storylines). It feels far less awkward.
