When I was a child, I was the swift for my mother. 😊 My first swift was an Amish swift and then a couple of years ago I purchased an umbrella swift. I did many with two chair backs, lampshade etc., but now I can't believe I waited so long to get a swift. Well worth the money along with the ball winder.
I just recently bought a swift, the same as yours! I don't know how I survived before. Hahaha. Makes things so much easier, what a time saver. The yarn today is gorgeous!
I enjoyed the video, (I just found your channel) and had fun watching those gorgeous colors coming together!!! Thank you for taking some of your time to share the process with us, it's very satisfying and inspiring... ❤
I just heard about you from Croch80HD. Jackie did a video on your channel. I haven't watched anyone dye yarn and I am totally awestruck and hooked. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge.
Love that orange/pumpkin color! Over the last 4 years I have accumulated 2 umbrella swifts just like yours, an Amish swift and a Yarn Weasel from the late 1800's. Of all of them I prefer the weasel but it's so old and creaky that every time I use it I'm afraid it's just going to collapse into a pile of kindling.
Love this Pumpkin Spice! Thanks for making pairing suggestions. I have an umbrella swift and a large Stanwood caker. I never could get my guys to sit still long enough to hold a hank of yarn.
That yarn really looks like the landscape you showed us 😊. I really would like to dye some yarn in the near future. At least once to see how much I like to do it. Because I’m really a crocheter at heart but I would like to try.
researching swifts before I buy, trying to stay in a budget but want to buy a quality swift. What type do you use? Same goes with a cake/ball winder if you use one
Apologies if this is a dumb question, im brand new to hand dyes, so satisfying to watch! Buthow come the different dyes dont bleed into the whole skein?
That all depends on how much acid you use and what temperature you’re cooking at. Basically if you use enough acid in your soak that dyes strike quite quickly. So they don’t have a chance to spread very far before they’re saturated into the yarn itself.
Stunning colours, congratulations winner. I love my swift. Make things so much easer
OMG, I just love this color way. It's a must have.
Love those Fall colors 😍
Stunning pairing
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Those immersion dyes are so fun to watch the colors crawl!
I’m really enjoying the mid immersions!!
Such a great colour! I 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful colourway.💖 Congrats to the winner.🙃
Such a beautiful example of your skill as a yarn dyer! You make it look so easy but that’s because you are a master of colour!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
That green is beautiful with them!
Agreed! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm in love with your color dyeing. These yarns are absolutely beautiful
Thank you!!
After watching your gifted happy mail to Juan, I was amazed at the beautiful color ways. Then I started watching you 👍🏻👍🏻
My husband said he was a little disappointed when I bought a swift and winder because it put him out of the job of holding the yarn while I wound it!😊
I get that! Sometimes we just enjoy feeling wanted and useful!
Beautiful
❤️❤️❤️
I love how you showcase your beautiful yarns, skeins, cakes and swatches. I use an Amish swift with the 4 posts and manual winder.
❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely gorgeous. Fall colors are amazing. Thank you for showing how these are dyed.
❤️❤️❤️

I love anything in the pumpkin spice realm! I do own a swift and a manual winder. A wonderful investment!

Swifts are a game changer, for sure … although I recently splurged and paid for you to cake my first order ❤❤
That is a lovely color way
Saw Croch80hd video about you. Had to see your creations. Have to say....I'm not disappointed! Beautiful! New subscriber here!
❤️❤️❤️ so happy you found us
Beautiful colors. I still use a chair Lol, but need to get a swift. Thank you for sharing.
I have convinced (not very forcefully) my hubby to 3D print my swift from project I have found. Game changer :D and very fun project :)
That’s awesome I didn’t even know you could 3-D print them!!
Beautiful pairings. (My wife shouts at the TV. "He's not getting all the way to the edges!" 😂 )
lol yesssss but the dye flows!!!

❤️❤️❤️ I’m happy you like them!!
I love this colourway. I have a swift, but I am much slower than your drill caker. Cover squirrel is so awesome!!!
❤️❤️❤️

Gorgeous and you must have a ton of patience.!
Just a smidge 👌
I call your swatch maker a Whirly Whirly machine!. I made my swift from plastic coat hangers ( in my videos!😂) and a cheap winder from Michael's 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Love this colorway.
I have a swift, but I honestly hate dealing with hanks of yarn so I opt for caking services whenever possible!
It’s sooo popular!!! We cake more than half of everything we send out!!
Have had a swift for quite a while. Love it.
❤️❤️❤️

I have an Amish swift...i like it a bit better than an umbrella swift.
❤️❤️❤️
I got a swift after trying to hand wind exactly 2 skeins of yarn.
lol I got mine after dropping and knotting 2!!! 😂
Swift and ball winder !
I have a Swift!
I used to have help from my kids, good time for a chat... but now they are teenagers so I had to buy a swift 😅
