It hits differently than these two movies but the anime "A Place Further than the Universe" has a very sweet slice-of-life feel that just feels good to watch with a strong hitting last few episodes.
Thank you for some insights and little bit of information about the movie. I've been so excited and curious at the same time. Too bad it's still not available outside Japan. Hopefully I'll see it soon when it releases Globally.
I watched Blue to Red. At first I didn’t know there were two movies, so The blue movie left me confused, but when I found out there’s two movies, I was oh makes sense. After I watched Red after, I don’t regret watching Blue to Red. I like this narrative better. It is actually kore sad and seems like Kayomi and Shiori transferrerd their consciousness(souls) to a world they never met, but their souls finally met when their physical counterparts in that world meet when they were old. It made it seem like those two souls finally rest in peace, and marry in heaven. It is a beautiful narrative, and I would rather love that than other narrative of them moving to ANOTHER world they do marry.
I wanna cry because I would have different idea if I had watched the pink first but for now I have different opinion in this and I don’t wanna change any of my opinions because I can’t. I’m stuck with komyomi and kazune being the end game as I watched the blue first
I watched kimi ai first by accident and i didn't know at first that there was a boku ai. After watching it, i searched reviews of the movie in yt and to my surprise that there were 2 of this film. And after watching boku ai, my heart ached for shiori. She, trapprd in that void must've been lonely. Her seeing koyomi aged and she can't do anything for it. Same goes to koyomi. The regret and pain and all that has happened. 😢
As you go your literally feeling the motions of the girl that was sitting near you 🥲 your excitement and realization almost convinced me to watch it in that order but I’m gonna watch it opposite 😊
They both tragic romance Boku ai to kimi ai: you realize that they just get together because of a girl bit still a happy tragic one. Should I explain the other one, yes its heartbreaking Boko ai to kimi ai: We supporting the genius girl but I guess she wasn't really tragic more like atleast she won. Kimi ai to boku ai: I watch this so I supporting shiroi, and the story is tragic.
Kazune, is the only person who knew both world exist and what happened to both. When koyomi said, that if he has 100 of him, he must love 100 of kazune. But it did not happened. Since the other Koyomi loved shaori (even to his little life left). If you want to feel light and no regrets after watching Watch Boku ga first But if you want to cry and feel the emptyness. You must watch kimi wo first Me, I watched Boku ga first.

its very much like playing life is strange or life is strange before the storm first, because you know nothing about rachel, or you know everything about her, and if you have played life is strange first the ending to bts becomes SO MUCH SADDER LIKE OMG!!
I've watched it in the same order you did and I can completely relate to what you're feeling. You did a very good review. To add, my friend watched the other way around and she felt the ending was a happy ending. While it left me heartbroken watching in the latter order.
Actually the red one tells us what was komyomi’s life until he rests his life from parallel shift machine , and the blue one tells us his whole different life with kazune after he separates himself with shirori, tells me if I am wrong I might have comprehended the movie wrong way .
For me, as I watched the blue first. I really think kazune loved komyomi in every world meanwhile komyomi end up meeting shirori in one parallel world where his parents was divorced as a result of him choosing to live with his father. And kazune found him again while komyomi loved shirori till the end in just one parallel line. Kazune is still there and loved him but not married.🥲
I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't get hit in the feels as hard as I would of liked. But it still was heartwarming nonetheless. Didn't hit me as hard as Anohana, a Silent Voice, Your Name and so on. But as mentioned before, still heartwarming and definitely will be added in my favorites. (Still cried, but not as hard as the others. Just wanted to precise.)

The letter scene loses any inpact if you watch Kimi first. I did the same order as you and think its better this way, not to mention Kimi has a post credit scene and FIN at the very end hinting it should be watched second.
@@jusyamanu brother it's open to interpretation whether you find it sad or not, but you wouldn't understand either movies without watching the other and watching in different orders doesn't make much a of a difference
i find it equal, each movie supports the other love interest for their own parrallel world so its a good ending for both shiori and kazune since 2 parallel koyomi have different love interest from each movie
I think its not abt the movie individually but rather the order which we watch. If we watch pink to blue, we as a viewer would get to see a happier ending where a Koyomi gets to live a happier life and the red timeline Koyomi got to save Shiori at the cost of sacrificing his own and still manages to meet Shiori even if it means both dont remember each other. If we were to watch blue to pink, we would get to see Koyomi living a happy life with Kazune and then we learn of a parallel universe and of a mystery woman that Koyomi fell in love with. Then we would get to see the timeline where Koyomi is struggling and so obsessed in saving this woman even tho the love of his life of another timeline(Kazune) is right there with him and helps him all the way through and sacrifices her own potential happiness just to allow this Koyomi to save this mystery woman. This ending would be sad as we got to know Kazune of the other timeline and how much better his life could have become. On the side note: i find it interesting that the pink world technology doesn't seem to have advanced much meanwhile due to the choices that led to the blue world, technology has advanced so much. (Im talking abt the zebra crossing or crosswalk whatever u wanna call them. In the Blue world it has holographic tech meanwhile the Pink world has the same tech as it does now
I just want to understand one thing. What exactly happened in the ending of To Me?? The scene after the end credits. Like where did the "ghost" of the young koyomi and shiori go after they disappeared on the intersection?
koyomi dimension shifted and took the ghost with him, if u still remember it, in the "to me" movie he promised her a timeline they meet and marry because she didnt want to live in a world in which they never met, they meet as shown on the street where she originally died, I wonder if its explained better in the novel
One confusion I have is how kazune comes up with it that in 00 koyomi is her boyfriend while pranking him about world 85. She said that he helped her from the dogs, we never see that happen & he is an extrovert in her world. I think that shiori taught koyomi to help others & in shiori's version we will see that she is the one who is controlling all of this.
I watched them both, I did enjoy them, but to me the endings felt rushed or not lazy per se, but not satisfying. The ending to “to Every you(blue)” makes sense with “to me(pink)” but i wished it didnt have to tangle with the other movie. I watched (blue) and enjoyed it, the ending had me little confused, watched the (pink), i understood the blue movie but was disappointed with this love destiny thing with shiori. Kazune and Koyomi was more my cup of tea, having them end up together but still guilt ridden with shiori was what got me not satisfied.( stuff flew over my heads a lot so if you dont like my opinion, i understand. i’m a simple man, guilt to shiori just wasnt my tea)
I watched red to blue, and I still 100% perferred Kazune's relationship. I don't think there was enough time for viewers to care about shiori as much as kazune.
I have not yet seen to me, the one who loved you Bc its still not available in the US, but I have seen to every you I’ve loved before. I was mostly confused for the entirety of the movie but I did enjoy it a lot, after watching this it made more sense. Hope to see the other movie soon!
Blue doesn’t explain the Parallel Shift it’s RED where it’s starts first and MC got introduced to it in the first place, In Blue The Parallel Shift Machine is there but no one used to to jump anywhere.
Yes because the original koyomi is from the red movie theres two different koyomi’s and two different kazune shiori never changes because she’s linked to koyomi
I am not talking seriously cause the movies are perfect. But, I would like to see a 3rd called "to us, who wanted a life together" in universes in that they meet later as adults or a movie in that Koyomi remebers his time shift and tries to be with Koyomi and reached her goal❤❤😢
After watching both, i first watch kimi ai and it makes me very emotional and after watching boku ai it also makes me WEIRDLY EMOTIONAL just like what he said So glad i watch pink first but i got a feeling that blue is first then pink bc pink has a fin on the end

these parallel universe movies are making my mind go mush. and i thought "your name" was confusing...haha. just like you, i did see "to every you i've loved before" first, before seeing "to me, the one ho loved you." i think it is better to see "to me the one who loved you" first, for time line's sake. kinda like, i should play red dead redemptions 2 first with arthur morgan, before moving on to the "red dead redemptions" with john marston. i love these two movies and best to watch one, directly after seeing the other one.
I just watched it a couple of times, i know i am late but watching them i realized if you watch blue to red you are going to shiori route and at the end they get (spoiler!!!!) ........................................they get married in the afterlife in the red one, but if you watch red to blue it is more like going the kuzune way, basically kimi or whatever his name is content with letting shiori go and let her live a happy life without him and pursue kuzune. But i like the red ending because shori and him get married in the afterlife
april 20th boys we get both of them globally that day, or atleast the USA i know go go anime has one of them but ive been avoiding it so i can watch them the same day
I watched boku first too. I now with I watched it the other way Though, when watching Kimi, the scene with their silhouettes falling and credits rolling was the saddest moment for me. It was a good experience. Though I do wish I was the person in the boku cinema who was crying cause they already watched Kimi Though, there was a lot more info dumping early on in Kimi, which might have been annoying if it was the first movie Ahhhhh. idk
The white scene of both kazune and Takisaki falling into the void is the true ending of Red's Takisaki and Kazune. For Blue, The old couple just continue life and continue loving each other. Still, None of this would've happened if Both shiori and Takisaki were to understand they could marry each other. One hell of a sad story
Since Kazune time or parallel shifted to a parallel universe that he didn't meet Shiori it somewhat "freed" her ghost. (This is how I see it) also is a sequel where she chose to live with her dad and lived a happy.
I saw in order of kimi no (red) to boku (blue), the story telling is kinda mind boggling.. I have not anything of this kind till now.. To me I felt red one was the original, like in other anime we ship people, I think after watching both the movies I just couldn't ship anyone, both the movies are some kinda experience 😅 I could under everything in kimi no(red) but I got confused in boku (blue one), but the ending, the auther did quite a story telling.. Idk how would I have felt if I had seen blue to red,. 😅 Watch it for the experience, it's OK good.. ❤
I just finished both and if you’re reading this and interested in watching, it’s really funny how these things work out but 9anime has one film and Zoro has the other😂. Like stated in this video, the watch order definitely matters. Im going to call one Film Blue and the other Film Red. I believe watching Red first is the superior option. Reason being if you’re like me, you don’t want to spend half the movie trying to understand and put the pieces together like he did watching Blue first. Red gives you the most accurate understanding of the parallel world stuff and let’s you enjoy the story of Blue more and in my opinion Blue’s ending hits DIFFERENT if you watch Red first. He had to remember how he felt when seeing that unknown character, where as Red gives you that answer beforehand and trust me when you see it… IT HITS HARD. This is just from my point of view but seeing this review further confirms what I had thought if I had watched blue first. I cried for about 15 minutes at the end of Blue solely because of watching Red first. I think you will too! If you like to put the pieces together later then go Blue first! The best analogy I can make is Blue is the 6-10 missing pieces of a 1000 piece puzzle, while Red is everything else. Blue has the last few pieces to make it a “perfect ending” and wrap it all up.
I won't argue against what you said, though the Japanese producers for the movies did actually recommend watching Boku Ai (Blue) before Kimi Ai (Red). In fairness, I think that's because Asian audiences in general are more used to dramatic revelations a la soap opera, but I personally loved watching it in the order I did because I feel like watching it the other way around would have made me "bored" for a lot of what happens in Boku Ai (Blue) if I had gone into it with the knowledge of what Kimi Ai (Red) gave me. That's only my biased perspective of having watched them in the order I did, but I wouldn't redo the experience I had despite the initial confusion. Essentially, watch Boku Ai (Blue) first if you want a more cathartic/tragic ending, or watch Kimi Ai (Red) first if you want the more straightforward explanation of the story as a whole.
I don’t know about that but I watched red first, then moved to blue And still my little mind is unable to process what happened Also, is there any possibility of experiencing the other ending if I rewatch in different order, or won’t change a thing
i also watched the red film first then the blue one. it really hits hard and i cried because after all the struggle, shiori and koyomi promise to get married did not happen. im sad for shiori.

@@andreeaalexandru7811 for me, red to blue was somehow about letting go. Hence, making it sadder. I think it’s a personal preference, but for me, that’s it.

It hits differently than these two movies but the anime "A Place Further than the Universe" has a very sweet slice-of-life feel that just feels good to watch with a strong hitting last few episodes.
I watched pink to blue and I definitely was bawling my eyes out at the end like the person in the theatre near you, lol
Thank you for some insights and little bit of information about the movie. I've been so excited and curious at the same time.
Too bad it's still not available outside Japan.
Hopefully I'll see it soon when it releases Globally.
It's on Crunchyroll now, since April 20, 2023.
Unfortunately Crunchyroll is not available in the Philippines.
But thanks for the information.

Finished these two tonight together with my gf and it leaves us both in tears. Such good movies.
I wanna cry because I would have different idea if I had watched the pink first but for now I have different opinion in this and I don’t wanna change any of my opinions because I can’t. I’m stuck with komyomi and kazune being the end game as I watched the blue first
Just watched the movies. Thank you for explain and clarifying how i felt deep down so very much
I watched kimi ai first by accident and i didn't know at first that there was a boku ai.
They both tragic romance
Boku ai to kimi ai: you realize that they just get together because of a girl bit still a happy tragic one.
Should I explain the other one, yes its heartbreaking
Boko ai to kimi ai: We supporting the genius girl but I guess she wasn't really tragic more like atleast she won.
Kimi ai to boku ai: I watch this so I supporting shiroi, and the story is tragic.
Yeah shiori for me too i still ship her with him
Kazune, is the only person who knew both world exist and what happened to both.
When koyomi said, that if he has 100 of him, he must love 100 of kazune. But it did not happened. Since the other Koyomi loved shaori (even to his little life left).
If you want to feel light and no regrets after watching
Watch Boku ga first
But if you want to cry and feel the emptyness. You must watch kimi wo first
Me, I watched Boku ga first.
Watching Boku first you will see how Kazune was so much more of a Character. She was soo much of a good character that I think she deserved the Ending of boku and Agreed to the last line our MC said. Thanking his past self for making his life with Kazune possible.❤ The Kimi ending was a happy ending for me too because it kinda shows me the backstory of the Past MC and the two of them still got married in the Afterlife. That's how the Fin I perceived and brought a solid Closure for both movies for me.

its very much like playing life is strange or life is strange before the storm first, because you know nothing about rachel, or you know everything about her, and if you have played life is strange first the ending to bts becomes SO MUCH SADDER LIKE OMG!!
I don't even know how to address this movie without sounding like a psychopath
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey in a parallel universe, you told this in backwards. You were crying in that theater looking at the next person confused.
I've watched it in the same order you did and I can completely relate to what you're feeling. You did a very good review.
To add, my friend watched the other way around and she felt the ending was a happy ending. While it left me heartbroken watching in the latter order.
It's a trivial matter, nothing to worry about.
Bro i think also
Blue to red here, i don't know how it feels if I do red to blue but there's one thing I can say. I just want to see Kazune happy. She's the best girl.

I watched Boku Ai first then Kimi Ai
After watching Kimi Ai I just simp for Kazune even more. But honest review Boku Ai gives you mysteries and Kimi Ai gives you the answers. So it was thrilling while watching Kimi Ai piecing the puzzles and questions I had while watching Boku Ai
The letter scene loses any inpact if you watch Kimi first. I did the same order as you and think its better this way, not to mention Kimi has a post credit scene and FIN at the very end hinting it should be watched second.
@@gamemaster0107 Kimi ending was for sure better in my opinion.
Movie just released international in crunchyroll. Great video 👍
If you thought the blue one will be sad and sorrow. The pink is romantic and happy.
You are wrong.
Should've warned me earlier
Nah tha blue is really sad one and the red is happy lmao
In the Blue world it has holographic tech meanwhile the Pink world has the same tech as it does now
Watching red will break you and in blue movie they show shiori and mc memories that moment also u will cry🙂
i felt sad for shoiri 😢 i dont wanna watch it again the story blows my mind there is alot of parallel

Just watch this movie, i went from red to blue and it felt more better
Sorezore no sekai de, sorezore no boku ga kazune no koto aishiteru
"in every world, every me will love every kazune"
that shi is romantic as hell 🥹
One confusion I have is how kazune comes up with it that in 00 koyomi is her boyfriend while pranking him about world 85. She said that he helped her from the dogs, we never see that happen & he is an extrovert in her world. I think that shiori taught koyomi to help others & in shiori's version we will see that she is the one who is controlling all of this.
That white dog is a dog kazune mentioned "you save me from stray dogs
I felt the exact same way nice video
I have not yet seen to me, the one who loved you Bc its still not available in the US, but I have seen to every you I’ve loved before. I was mostly confused for the entirety of the movie but I did enjoy it a lot, after watching this it made more sense. Hope to see the other movie soon!
Blue doesn’t explain the Parallel Shift it’s RED where it’s starts first and MC got introduced to it in the first place, In Blue The Parallel Shift Machine is there but no one used to to jump anywhere.
A little bit reminds me of "Mr.Nobody", especially the parents choose scene with the parallel universe setting
i felt the exact same. I also watched boku ai first.
RED then BLUE for a Complete Experience
Yes because the original koyomi is from the red movie theres two different koyomi’s and two different kazune shiori never changes because she’s linked to koyomi
I am not talking seriously cause the movies are perfect. But, I would like to see a 3rd called "to us, who wanted a life together" in universes in that they meet later as adults or a movie in that Koyomi remebers his time shift and tries to be with Koyomi and reached her goal❤❤😢

Yes! But i watched it the other way around and the experience will never be the same 😭😭
these parallel universe movies are making my mind go mush. and i thought "your name" was confusing...haha.
just like you, i did see "to every you i've loved before" first, before seeing "to me, the one ho loved you." i think it is better to see "to me the one who loved you" first, for time line's sake. kinda like, i should play red dead redemptions 2 first with arthur morgan, before moving on to the "red dead redemptions" with john marston.
i love these two movies and best to watch one, directly after seeing the other one.
I watched blue to red, anyone else
After watching this movies all i could think about was The Butterfly Effect movie.
I just watched it a couple of times, i know i am late but watching them i realized if you watch blue to red you are going to shiori route and at the end they get (spoiler!!!!)
........................................they get married in the afterlife in the red one, but if you watch red to blue it is more like going the kuzune way, basically kimi or whatever his name is content with letting shiori go and let her live a happy life without him and pursue kuzune. But i like the red ending because shori and him get married in the afterlife
Blue to red is the best tbh. You actually get to fully flesh out red and leave you with a whole feeling.
I recommend red then blue so it's not confusing

Bet watching in reverse will be interesting, as left in the dark as the mc...
These two movies broke me T_T
I watched boku first too. I now with I watched it the other way
Though, when watching Kimi, the scene with their silhouettes falling and credits rolling was the saddest moment for me. It was a good experience.
Though I do wish I was the person in the boku cinema who was crying cause they already watched Kimi
Though, there was a lot more info dumping early on in Kimi, which might have been annoying if it was the first movie
Ahhhhh. idk
Question, so does the silhouettes mean that they are together in a parallel universe
(This is how I see it)
also is a sequel where she chose to live with her dad and lived a happy.
My fav character is kazune(and no i didn't watch from blue to red order lol)
Dang you did your best not to spoil so much even with explaining that much.
keren bang Genga. Koyomi, Kazune dan Shiori pasti bangga sama kamu
I don’t know about that but I watched red first, then moved to blue
And still my little mind is unable to process what happened
Also, is there any possibility of experiencing the other ending if I rewatch in different order, or won’t change a thing
i also watched the red film first then the blue one. it really hits hard and i cried because after all the struggle, shiori and koyomi promise to get married did not happen. im sad for shiori.
