Sorry if i didnt explained it thoroughly, hopefully the on-screen texts does it, stay hopeful ❤ Ps: if y'all wanna watch the movie then go to a pirate site or sth idk lol, i'd recommend watching the movie first before this video like i said tho
u forgot something real important the movie kimi ai koyomi meet boku ai kazune when he was following dog near off leak she was there and baku ai kazune shift before she get married she thought baku ai koyomi same has kimi ai koyomi she was try to find kimi ai koyomi but when boku ai koyomi she thought he back to but it not that she thought and baku ai koyomi ask her to go out but she rejected him mamy but end she ask himself to boku ai koyomi when boku ai koyomi give her rings she got shift I wonder where she go
Through the txts r u trying to convey is that the ending scene of kimi ai where koyomi proposes siori for marriage where the two timelines intersected is the scene of the parallel world where kimi ai koyomi and shiori will go but it took place in the boku ai world and eventually disappears due difference in timelines and goes to their new created parallel world.
But I think that as koyomi in kimi ai did a time shift bcz of which he went to virtual element mitosis(coma state) and also shiori is dead too so consciousness or soul of koyomi and shiori ended up together beyond the reach of any world. I think that proposal scene represents their eternal love for eachother i.e their souls ended up together and the scene is not of any of the world.
@@shabekulislam5131 Koyomi feels lucky that he is the koyomi that loved kazune. Thats why he thanks all of the koyomi that didn't love kazune. Basically hes saying "im lucky to have loved you and not anyone else"
this is why I prefer Kazune so much, even in every other universe that Koyomi choose Shiori. Kazune is still there for him. She's truly the one who loved him in every universe
This movie really was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me. And I see many people discussing the love of Koyomi for Shiori and no doubt it was other worldy but I'm way more obsessed with Kazune's sacrificial love for Koyomi.
I think the order in which u watch makes difference....i watched blue first and for me kazune is the main female lead and shiori is just a girl from another world that koyomi fell in love with....i bet for the ones who watched pink first , felt shiori is main female lead and the world where shiori and koyomi is the main world & the one with kazune as wife is just a parallel world
@@yanjungrass715 Both is quite sad really. I watched the pink first, and I was already feeling sad for Kazune even though I really like Shiori too. Like, I can't really explain it. But I'm left here wondering is it possible to marry a person who was merely there for you, but your soulmate was actually still out there??
@@erickouhai9818 same goes with me i watched blue first , loved the way kazune loves koyomi yet i feel sad for shiori....and i didn't understan your last sentence, who are you referring to in "merely there for him " and "soulmate "
the fact that koyomi said he will always love kazune in every universe that wasn't true in the universe where koyomi loves shiori T-T These two movies were really something else :')
@@monamiver You guys are missing the point of why he said it, it was to reassure his wife and to himself after she was essentially kidnapped by a grieving Kazune 14. From that point on they were shifter from 0 to 1 permanently, but the institute set their watches to 0 manually.
@@Purpless_ON This doesn't change the fact that it isn't technically true and in the parallel worlds premise (meaning endless different choices and circumstances) of this whole story, quite pointless. I don't know if you've read the novel but the subplot about the death/near death of their son had more depth and detail in the novel. If you turn out to be a murderer in another world (Koyomi 13), would you still want to say that you are that same person and that you can make the same choices? If you are Kazune can you still love the murderer Koyomi who was also willing to harm another Kazune? This is the overarching theme of BokuAi. While KimiAi stresses the inevitability of Shiori's fate, BokuAi deals with Imaginary Science ethics, sense of self in different parallel worlds, and the different choices resulting to much more varied worlds. The movies made it seem like Koyomi and Kazune always end up together in any world but in the novel, they were not together 35 IP worlds away from BokuAi 0. And the farther the world, the more different things are. In some of these worlds their son is dead. While in KimiAi after a hundred experiments, the Shiori in that parallel world is still a ghost. KimiAi is to fate as BokuAi is to choice.
Shiori isn't really dead in every universe. She's only dead on all of the universes within koyomi's radius. That's the whole reason why he needed to not meet shiori until he's in his 70s. It was because the universe he and shiori shifted to needed to be outside of his radius so shiori can escape her fate of dying. In other words, the only way to save shiori was to jump to a universe that so different from their own that shiori no longer died. So different that the two never met as kids.
@ampbgaming4273 there is. Just by how multiverses work, there has to be an infinite number of universes where they end up together. The issue is the technology isn't able to access those universes. Basically, the more alike a universe is to their base universe the closer those other universes are. Those are the universes withing koyomi's "radiius". The further you get from this radius, the more different those universes are. Koyomi only knows how to get to universes close to his proximity, meaning he only knows how to travel to universes where shiori dies.his breakthrough is when he figures out how to travel to slightly further universes. But those are the universes where they don't meet. After a full lifetime of research, koyomi just hasn't figured out how to access the universes where they end up together, because those universes are so far away from their original universe.
am i the only one who likes the fact that kazune and koyomi are pretty much fated to be together? i watched blue first so i think it’s really beautiful
I watched pink first, so naturally I’m biased more towards Koyomi X Shiori. According to my perspective, Kazume felt like a second choice. Although I love Kazume! To love someone even if they don’t return your feelings, is so beautiful.
@@HaruHikaHaruHika yeah maybe that's what the directors meant by " opinion change based on order you watch " ...for those who watched pink first the world where koyomi is with his dad is main world and other is like parallel world ...but for ppl who watch blue first ( like me ) feel the world where koyomi was with his mom is main world and the other is parallel one
If you read the light novels this isn't the case at all. In world 35 in BokuAi, Koyomi and Kazune are coworkers but they are not together. In about 25 worlds, Koyomi and Kazune end together, farther than that they are not. Meanwhile after almost 100 experiments in KimiAi, Shiori still suffered the same accident, in farther worlds there are Shioris that are alive but she never met Koyomi. Literally the point of these novels is that parallel worlds are choices that you probably didn't make and so using the "fate" word misses the whole point of making choices.
It is, cause the only koyomi that kept trying to save Shiori was in Kimi wo. There's an scene in that he was in his office, and suddenly he shifted. He was in bed with Kazune. So, I guess we can say that it is very likely that every other Koyomi forgot or overcame Shiori. Cause we can say that this follows quantum mechanics, I'm sure there were many other Universes in that they ended up together anyway. It's not, as if Shiori always died even without meeting Koyomi. Small things as encounters later in their parents office or walking in the street can make a difference.
I think it's sad on both Kazune and Shiori fans. Kazune got the happy ending with Koyomi in the end, but arguably she did not get the incomparable love that Koyomi has for Shiori. Shiori may not end up with Koyomi in the end but his love for her was unconditional, even sacrificing his entire life just to find a way to give Shiori her happiness. It's like Shiori is the lover we want, but Kazune is the lover we deserve
I watched Kimi Ai first, and it really makes me feel sad that Koyomi and Shiori can never end up together, no matter how hard they try, it's just as if he can only end up with Kazune, so I'm actually really sad about this because I really love Koyomi and Shiori together, but then after watching this video and finding some info from other website showing that there's a time zone where Koyomi and Shiori are together, even if only one, it's more than enough for me T~T
There's actually infinite universes where koyomi and shiori get their happy ending. The only issue is the only way the koyomi and shiori we see in kimi ai get to both exist in the same world is if they shift into a world where they don't meet and don't get their happy ending together. It would theoretically be possible to shift that far but koyomi wasn't able to figure out how to make that far of a shift within his lifetime. So basically, the world at the end of boku ai is where both souls of koyomi fused (koyomi in kimi ai and the koyomi in a coma) and the souls of shiori also fused.
tbh i m pretty confused at what u said my bad, but i feel sad for all 3 of them, kazune probably knew about both the worlds, koyomi of boku ai had a happy life ( as what kazune had wished in boku ai), and shiori of kimi ai also had a happy life though not with koyomi and i feel sad for that, but its such a contradictory feeling, i wanted koyomi and shiori to be happy, but i also dont want kazune to not be with him
What I find interesting in Red/Pink is that (even though they weren’t aware of it at the time) Koyomi was effectively the catalyst for the incident because he possessed the trait that allowed him to send his consciousness to parallel worlds even though the machine was supposed to work yet. The problem is that since both of them traveled at the same time using the same machine, I assume she had to piggyback off of him to properly travel. I know they didn’t really say that was the reason but I’d assume that didn’t help her situation and it would also explain why she and Koyomi were practically bonded to the point that she shifts with him to whatever world he goes to.
Boku ai really make the 2 film confusing, since this universe got another guest from parallel world, and IP value as world identifier make it more complex (in boku ai their universe is number 0 but takasaki kazune in the end tell kimi ai world is the real number 0 and boku ai is world no 2 because IP value work relatively between universe) To make it easier to identified here's character full name on two movies: -. Hidaka Koyomi (IP 0 kimi ai) which is koyomi that choose to live with his father after the parent divorce, Hidaka is father family name -. Takasaki Koyomi (IP 2 boku ai) which is koyomi that choose to live with his mother, takasaki is his mother family name -. Takikawa Kazune (IP 0 kimi ai) this kazune didn't married with hidaka koyomi and help the parallel research as assistant -. Takasaki Kazune (IP 2 boku ai) this kazune got married with takasaki koyomi thats why she had takasaki family name -. Takasaki Kazune (IP 14 boku ai) this kazune who married to IP 14 koyomi but lost her child murdered -. Sato Shiori (IP 0 kimi ai) the first love of hidaka koyomi but dead due accident in parallel world and become 'ghost' -. XXXXX Shiori (IP 2 boku ai) the old one who meet old koyomi in intersection, still living but married to someone else
I prefered watching BokuAi first and then KimiAi. Kimi actually has a post credit scene and a FIN at the very end implying it’s supposed to be watched second. It also enhances the letter scene from Boku which will make your brain melt but also makes you curious about the other movie compared to the other way around. But then again the order doesn’t matter too much either way, there was never a “you get a better ending depending on watch order” to begin with. I’m not sure if the creators spread that rumour or people.
I'm team Shiori, but Japan is all about the red string of fate. The red string of fate clearly leads Koyomi to Kazune. But in the Boku universe we see Koyomi decide to defy fate with Shiori. They pay the price and Koyomi spends a lifetime trying to save her from it. If he hadn't, she'd have floated between worlds indefinitely. We never see her grow up because the Koyomi we see lets her go. The Kazune we see has chased Koyomi from his Shiori world. She loves him indiscriminately. But so does Shiori. Shiori is stuck waiting for Koyomi at an intersection every day, but she does so gladly. That decision to defy is what makes Shiori special, because Koyomi will love a 1000 Kazunes, but Shiori is the glitch.
@@erickouhai9818 I guess the best way I can put it is that 1000 Koyomis will find and fall in love with 1000 Kazunes in 1000 different timelines. In the Boku universe, we see the one instance where Koyomi finds Shiori before ever meeting Kazune. The Universe, because Kazune is meant to be with Koyomi, immediately attempts to separate them. In the other universe we see, we never see Shiori until the very end of the film, and it isn't even clear if the Shiori he met was even from the same world he ended up in or if they were meeting at a crossroad created by their promise to each other in their previous life. In the Boku universe, Koyomi's father falls for Shiori's mother and the two are set to be married. This does not happen in the Kimi universe, as that would have led Shiori and Koyomi to meet and they never do. Their parents only marry in Boku because they meet. The two then decide that they still want to be with each other and highjack technology that defies the structure of their universe to find a world and in doing so, Shiori is immediately struck by a car at the crossroads, stranding her in between realities and creating a "glitch". Shiori and Koyomi are not meant to be together, fate will not allow them to end up together, no matter what they try because Koyomi is meant to be with Kazune. That attempt to defy fate led to consequences, but it's ultimately the choice that allows Koyomi to meet her at the end of Kimi Ai again, because although they do not intertwine the same way Kazune and Koyomi's threads do, they had crossed paths. It's an irregularity, a thing that causes a shift. Even in the Boku universe, Kazune finds him despite him being OBSESSED with helping his childhood sweetheart that no one else can see stuck on the street. Hope that paints the picture I see when I watch the films. I also started with Boku and not Kimi (IMO the best way to watch it.)
@@reidthompson4361 Omg this was so beautiful, thank you for your perspective! I’m team Shiori too (although I love Kazume), I guess we’re in the minority haha.
@@shabekulislam5131 In the Kimi Ai universe, Koyomi has never loved anyone BUT Kazune. He can’t imagine himself loving anyone else. But he knows there are other versions of himself out there that may have taken different paths. He’s expressing gratefulness that he got to live a life full of love and happiness with someone who loves him back.
I think watching kimi ai first enhances boku ai alot, it makes you appreciate boku ai much better. Personally i prefer boku ai to kimi ai because the original promise koyomi made to shiori was only made posible by kazume in the end.
Gonna pop your bubble and say that in the novels these movies are based on we don't get to read about this letter from Kazune to Kazune and it was Koyomi himself from KimiAi who put the schedule in BokuAi Koyomi's device.
I would say the red/pink Universe is the 0 universe. We've seen in Kimi no ai how they discovered parallel and optimal shifting. Also, it's the catalyst of how Shiori is dead in all universes. The stylization of Kimi no Ai is also more realistic compared to Boku no Ai. The emphasis of the bubbles was also from Kimi no ai. Also, watching it in Red-Blue order will make the Boku no ai universe more depth rather than just being a normal romance movie. I really appreciate how the creators are very keen on every detail, even the change of hair, eye, clothes, and houses (promise, Im surprised how I noticed those differences as well). There are really hints that there are remnants of those versions of them that were left in their universe. Also, Kizune and Shiori have very appealing characters, but even so, they both love Koyomi as who he is [in every universe]. This boils down to Koyomi as the only person who is really him - it doesn't matter who is the end game. He loves the only woman that he first laid his eyes on [ kinda straightforward of him, also sounds obsessive but yeah, he's the mc so ]. Overall, the ending will matter more if you watch Kimi no Ai first.
Yeah dude... I totally agree. I missed that part. I noticed there's a time shift and parallel shift, and somehow they got married. What pisses me off, is the idea that the movie shows that we don't have a soulmate. In a parallel universe he has Kazune as a soulmate, and in the other he got Shiori as his soulmate. I couldn't get that to sink in. But at least his love for Shiori is all the reason why we got two amazing movies and a happy ending despite the odds, despite the universe trying to torn them apart.
For those that don’t understand how is that they finally get to marry in the end is because he finally reached the universes where they didn’t meet when they were kids, they meet right at the intersection but since they have the memories from those other universes they already know who they are even tho in those universes they hadn’t met until that day. So they merry each other in the universes where they meet at the intersection. And then in the universes where they meet as kids, she dies and he merry kazume instead but marring kazume is what gives me the chance to merry shiori in the other universes where they meet as teens and not kids.
The movie hints that beyond our particular circunstances and accidents, there is a transendental person that exists beyond parallel worlds, and that "shifts" are just different experiences of the same person. - In (Boku), after the incident with their child is resolved and the "almost correct" version of Kazune return, Koyomi and Kazune talk about different versions of themselves, and whether they love one in particular or all of them at the same time with each of their particular stories. "100 worlds with 100 different you an me, but I will always love you". - Still in (Boku), the young Koyomi compares the different versions of his grandparent, and how different they were. But after grandpa dies, he concludes "In that moment, the three versions of my grandfather finally merged together, becoming a single person in my mind". How does this affect the ending? The two movies have two distinct timelines, and arguably (Kimi) comes first, Koyomi decides to go back in time forgeting Shiro, and then (Boku) happens. In no physical reality he ends up with Shiori, but knowingly or not, he loved her in all realities, just as he loved Kazune in all realities. He spiritually married her, across parallel worlds and beyond her and his death.
There's no main timeline, all universes exist at once. It happens that these two universes (distance of 2 IP) are connected. Koyomi time shifts connecting himself to the possibility where he never meets Shiori all to save Shiori's imaginality from being stuck on the traffic crosswalk forever. In the end the parallel universes only have a few connections, and Koyomi and Shioris time shift made them not retain any memories since they were overriden. This makes me so sad because without memories we can't even be super sure the other world successfully time shifted over. The one thing that doesn't make sense is that it seems Kimi Ai version of Koyomi and Kazune were both able to optional shift to the world of Boku Ai, so what was stopping Koyomi from doing the same and not repeating his mistakes with Shiori? Ig cuz it's a universe where they aren't fated to meet, he would not be able to possibly do it? It's so sad, the memory less timeshift. No evidence that he really came from the future in Kimi Ai. Ik somewhere out there is a universe where they meet and become happy together. They just need to exceed an even further event radius which is the event of Koyomi and Shiori being able to access the IP machine, and it overlaps with the reality where they do meet in a similar way as in Kimi Ai. If there's infinite universes this definitely exists. There was definitely a way to find a happy ending... I'm so sad Shiori and Koyomi don't end up together in any of the universes we observe, and in Boku Ai they just become strangers. It's heartwrenching
I finished this movie like half an hour ago and I’m still wrapping my head around it 💀 (I watched blue first so I am talking in the context of blue (Boku Ai) being “world 0” and pink (Kimi Ai) being “parallel world”) First of all, I didn’t realize that when he transferred her into a different time, it was WORLD 0 FROM THE BLUE MOVIE 😭😭 So, if I understand, he was able to time shift her to “world 0” 66 years ago, but since he shifted her to before they met, they had that strange interaction in blue 1 month before he died. But in pink, their consciousnesses can be together in what is basically… the imaginary space? Also I’m curious if anyone feels the same, but I enjoyed Boku Ai more!! Everyone so far has said they feel that the other movie makes more sense, but idk I enjoyed the Koyomi/Kazune love story Ok imma shut up 🫠🫠 EDIT: (Updated understanding) Koyomi blue film -Goes to mystery meeting location not knowing that Kazune put it there at the request of red film Kazune -Meets shiori but doesn't know who she is, though they briefly met when he parallel shifted after his grandpa died like 60 years ago, then fully dies one month after mystery meet Koyomi red film -Does the same thing Shiori did at age 14, begins a parallel shift but consciousness becomes a "ghost" and he and Shiori can finally be together, but his physical dies -Kazune never gets to be w/ him
I wouldn’t really call it consciousness it makes more sense as representing the soul. Ending also makes more sense as since shiori died her soul merged with Koyome’s makes more sense than their conciousness merging.
i also liked the boku AI more than kimi AI but the whole boku AI is only to briefly explain about parallel universe and kimi AIis more about koyomi of red film saving his love from eternally staying as ghost of the crossroad ( that could be a possibility ) a a a
I thought the two films were not connected and each film had its own story, so I chose one of them at random and the result was ruin I started with the blue movie and I understood the events and analyzed each scene logically, but at the same time I deeply regretted it because in the last half hour I got spoilers of the events of the red movie and I knew that the girl with the black hair had become a ghost. This means that you should watch the red movie first because it is the basis, as the black-haired woman is the hero’s true love While the blue movie is a sequel that contains details that enable you to know the hidden details that you did not understand in the red movie
Everyone says that they have different endings depending on which order u watch them... but i dont see how... they are both great stories telling stories from diff universes... can someone who watched the red one first tell me... how u guys felt
The ending is the same but the way you see it is FAR different from watching red first the events play out as normal with the death of the girl and him spending his life to save her but goes back in time 66 years to a world they never met in to save her. This world he goes to the blue world and everything plays out there because of the events that started and ended in the red world where he married the other girl and forgot about the other world

i watched kimi ai -> boku ai, and when koyomi and shiori decided to run away to parallel world i was wondering why cant they just marry even now, technically they arent blood related, at least they could have talked with their parents about for a solution, that way they would have been happy in this universe and kazune would have been in the other, but it really cleared many things after watching this video , i was hella confused , and man i m so happy to know that they got married in some other unvierse, and that koyomi fulfilled both the promises, i would;ve loved to watch a scene of shiori and koyomi getting married, i feel sad for the kazune in boku ai, she spent her life with him together till the end
Am I tripping? I did not interpret that after credit scene as them getting together because she was still a ghost... and that they faded out at the end. The all white background suggested that this is not reality. In Red Film, Koyomi decided to parallel shift in order to live out a life without meeting Shiori in order to save her (which we see in the blue film), and in turn died due to "Virtual Element Mitosis". This death turns Koyomi into a ghost (same exact thing that happened to Shiori) and met Shiori at the crossroad (ending of red film).

I just live that regardless of what can be considered "the happy" ending Kayomi says "to any other me who fell in love with someone else..thank you bc I got to fall in love with Kasuke. And to the person who fell in love with the other me...I wish you and your lover a happy life" I just love how in both timelines Kayomi and his lover (Shiori or Kasuke) end living happy in one way or another
The 2 movie are all great and reading all the opinion here in the comment really just become biassed to the 1st thing they watch (though other audience couldn't apply that to them) I wouldn't say I'm that biassed; though I'm a strong willed person. (You can judge by my comment which one I am. And bare with me if you're interested to continue reading) I have such a complete thought of what the movie really is only based on its title itself. To every you I've loved before: (BLUE) To me the one who loved you: (RED) Obviously I prefer the Blue one, to me it's not just bcs the first thing I watch, but the revolving world towards the story is realistic and practical. Rather than the red one who is too devoted at something is unrealistic. I mean sure, it is true that the first love is hard to move on. In the Red Perspective, the simple sense "Ah yes it does bcs it the first thing for everything that why it hard to move on." You're hopelessly devoted, and that's fine. You see, life isn't just going to stop for a moment inorder for someone to actually accept it. People can come and go. In the Blue perspective. In the long run, we realise there are people out there meant for us and look for/attract for. And people change and so do our perspectives. That is why the Male lead tends to have more friends, rather than the previous red one. During the red one, it just really pivots around one woman with an undying love of promises, to me it is not romantic enough to be loved bcs “I'm your only deepest love.” (Die from cringe) I mean sure, tnx but it's too unreal and I'm daunted by this idea. (The red on is Infatuation love, it not even consummate love just like the Blue perspective) Conclusion: "To me the one who loves you" = I'm the only one who can deepest love you. "To every you I've loved before" = In every parallel universe I will always need you without a reason to be. The reason why the first red one is unrealistic. Tons of people are familiar with Divorce (it became so unfazed) and each couple in matrimony had the every right to choose. It happened already in the beginning of the film, as an example. So, deepest love is unrealistic to me, bcs there is no need for such a thing. What I want is practical, be real mate! You love me bcs u need me, that why a couple choose to be committed, even at times of their worst. Isn't that far more romantic than the red one. Now, I'm a biassed or strong willed person? Hahaha
boku ai = MC pick her mother Kimi Ai= He pick his father as a result meet shiori, the Main timeline is Kimi Ai not Boku Ai ... in Kimi Ai he finds out he is connected to shiori everytime he goes to a parallel world shiori gets transported with him thats why to Finalized his time shift plan "To change and create a new world line" He continued his current life an adult and created a future without shiori and by not meeting shiori for many many years most likely more or less 30years he came back "he is married to another woman but he did not love her well he did love their children its his master plan to cut the tie when he jump going back 60 years ago in a Time Shift plus he did the time shift when his life is near to death meaning he will completely erase himself to fully cut the ties with shiori in Kimi Ai its explained that the watch is make for time travel but we saw that he set the date of meet up because of their promise so When they activated the time shift he goes back and pick his mother = Boku Ai series as a result the dog is alive and his grand father died due to the DOG he have no reason to meet up with Shiori. Because of this the original shiori memories gets erased just like their theory in Kimi Ai, The MC awakened as Old person the same before he time shift is due to the fact that "if he time shift he goes back in the present with the same age and day after the time shift" thats the very reason why he marry his co-worker in Kimi Ai but The present is re-written because of the Time Shift which means that shiori have a happy life but without the MC but somehow remember their promise so they meet up in the end in the age of 67 but there is the part in kimi ai that shiori gets time shift the still in the age of 14 and MC appeared on the same Age = they are the main time Shifter in Kimi Ai which is explained in Boku Ai while the 67 yrs old MC and shiori is their other self that is living and created as a result of the time shift that's why they have zero memories of each others, Then yes the two 14yrs old shiori and koyomi time shifted again in another world line that they can be together living behind their 67 yrs old version of the current timeline created after the Kimi Ai ending. Thats why the proper order is Kimi Ai then Boku Ai .. to many question will be answer in Boku Ai will be answered if viewer started in Kimi Ai plus the bonus of getting a Happy Ending instead of going to Boku Ai then Kimi Ai were you will get a bad taste of the ending at the very final part of Kimi Ai after watching Boku Ai and will leave more question during Boku Ai that will be answered in Kimi Ai plus the sad ending.
So there is a timeline where Koyomi and Shiori end up together. That part where Koyomi at the end of KimiAi says "will you marry me?" Wasn't for nothing. It implied that their main timeline versions end up together at least. I watched KimiAi and then BokuAi. Best decision 🤭
4:10 I don’t personally believe that they survived. The only reason that Shiori survived the original event was because her soul latched onto koyome’s hence why they shift together. Koyome sending them back was forcibly removing that bond hence giving both the opportunity to live and die instead of being stuck in limbo. When they meet eachother again their souls relatch on but without a physical anchor my assumption is that they were able to peacefully pass on.
The movies are a convoluted mess to put it mildly, but there's something people are misunderstanding here. The movies have a happy ending. The real ending here is when they're both on their "ghost forms" and disappear together at the intersection. (which is the scene at the end of this video) There's basically 2 world lines. The first where she dies and the 2nd where they never meet. For the happy ending to happen, he needed to create a world where they never met. When they both disappear on the intersection, he acomplishes the goal of saving her from being trapped on the intersection. Then they travel together to a world(s) where they can be together without her dying(though it's never shown) They chose to show us the end of the 2nd world where they never met instead. But if you want to put your heart at peace, the real ending is at the end of the red movie where they both disappear together as "ghosts" on the intersection. (which is again the scene at the end of this video)
It was as easy as time shift to an universe where they dont paralel shift to an universe where their parents arent divorced and instead they just confess to their parents their love and those tell them that they can marry anyway, by how choices works this universe exists and is way less far away from the IP 000 than the one they never meet (because is a way closer choice thus more distant universe) c:
Yeah i don’t know why no mentions that red is the only movie with a post credit and a FIN at the very end. I watched Boku -> Kimi and think it’s the better order despite most people saying it’s the other way around. Either way both movies are sad and happy in their own way so this whole you get a sad or good ending depending on the watching order was not true at all.
This was the second time I've been just emotionally distraught to this of an extreme. The first time was with Plastic Memories, and these two movies just blew me away.
trulky a great interactive anime movie (glad to watch and finish both) the realizaiton no matter which is first..its just painful.. Shiori and Kyoomi's fate is painful yet Kazune the true MVP , love that girl!!!
I am quite surprised that the way you watch these two movies can really change the perspective of the story as i watched Boku ai first & Kimi ai later I wasn't able to connect with the story of koyomi & shiori that much as Kazune & Koyomi were the people from 0 world for me . But after I watched both the movies & then later watching the end of Boku ai again , i felt relieved that all 3 lived a happy life . But really if i would have watched Kimi ai first It would have made me heartbroken because ik shiori & Koyomi lived a happy life but didn't get a happy ending together .
so youre saying they got Time Shifted and Parallel Shifted at the same time.. -Time Shifted when he shifted to a world and came back a young and married shiori -Parallel Shifted when koyomi fused to Koyomi in Boku Ai world with no memories and fufilled the promise meet up. -and the world that they never met
Bro this is just so sad koyomi spend his whole life just to save a girl, shiori wait her whole life at crosswalk , and kazune never gets her love , just sad
Now that I re-watch both movies again I completely not understand the ending or the context I think I remember understanding it but completely miss it so thank for the explanation
So if i remember from the books kyomi(has cancer and is dying)time shifts and causes braindeath for himself at the intersection to be with shiori in death(or to timeshift to a world outside of the radius, the movies imply there are almost infinite times and say they might start over hints why kazune says theyre hoping for a miracle) thats why blue kyomi felt the shift but it never changed his worldview (because red kyomi died or shifted outside the radius almost instantly). There is a 3rd book and the author said about 2 weeks ago hes working on a new manuscript so hopes up.
I think the quotes that said to every me who doesn’t love kazune is explained like this Koyomi said to every me because he keep trying to go back to the time whe he meet kazune . I believe he only met Shiori once he just want to fulfill his promise that he will met her in the crossing path .
one more thing the reason people like KIMI AI more is it focus about stories emotions more BOKU AI a little more only I like BOKU AI because it explains parallel universe a quite well
for my understnding...koyomi and shiori went to the same capsule thats why shiori trap in koyomi's radius.(like steins gate when tutturu girl dies in every timeline) and i think Boku Ai only Exist because of Kimi Ai...if im correct...Koyomi from Kimi Ai invented the Time Shift and went to a timeline(imaginary world) when they didnt met..(to escape in his Radius) but the flaws is he will be in coma and no previous memories in the new world..hence Boku Ai world..
anyone please correct so, in the end of "To the Only Me Who Loved You " shiori and koyomi meeting together is like their final being before going dissapear? since because koyomi finally cut off the radius where the incident would likely to happen, so the existence of both of them knowing each other didn't exist so in other words koyomi x shiori (in the incident radius) never really happen so that's why they slowly dissapear at the ending am i right? EDIT: so in LN shiori and koyomi after the time shift their timeline seperated and created their own timeline where they met in the cross walk retaining their memories and got married since its their promise am i correct?
In simple conclusion the ending depends on heroine showed in cover To me, the only one who loved you -> Koyomi loves Shiori To you, All whom I loved -> Koyomi loves Kazune For me there is no sad ending or something like that because there is many parallel worlds so we can't decide if Koyomi ends with Kazune or Shiori is sad ending because one of either is not selected. They are both selected even if not in the same world. Yeah Kazune from red doesn't end with Koyomi and She send letter to Kazune from Blue make us think Kazune from Red and Blue have a sad fate cause Kazune not the first choice of Koyomi (not to mention Kazune from world 14 lose her Child) but what the matter anyway she still ends with Koyomi in the Blue Movie Sorry for my terrible English
for my comment a heartbreaking story 1st movie : kimi ai is mc 2nd movie :boku ai is old man what really happened feel bad for mc he travel so many world to save his lover but he can't not save her because anywhere mc go she always follow him so in the end mc die she also follow ( in 1st movie ending she was ghost there when mc shift she also follow him they just grab each other hand and it's trun error so that old man don't understand what happened ) so he try everything he can but he lost in end last moment off 2nd movie that old woman don't look like her it all ( maybe i am wrong) so mc die just like her also this old man lover meet mc when mc 1st time shift he follow dog in sunset time she was there she originaly try to find mc but end up with this old man but before they get marriage she also shift and never come back to world 0 the question is where she gona so no one get chance to live with someone that they truly loves hmm sad ending
I wouldn't say he lost. His goal was to "save her", which doesn't nessecerely mean reviving her. Also, all the parrarel sustem works like multiverses in a way. There are many many realities where they ended up having a life togheter, but mc wasn't able to shift to those (maybe because she was shifting with the girl's ghost every time, or due to technology being not developed enough). I think that when they touched as ghosts, they shifted to a whole new parrarel universe, which they couldn't reach before. And I wouldn't worry about their looks. I was confused seeing mc and Kazune looking different, so i suppose that Shiori also could look differently.
saw in order of kimi no (red) to boku (blue), the story telling is kinda mind boggling.. I have not anything of this kind till now.. To me I felt red one was the original, like in other anime we ship people, I think after watching both the movies I just couldn't ship anyone, both the movies are some kinda experience 😅 I could under everything in kimi no(red) but I got confused in boku (blue one), but the ending, the auther did quite a story telling.. Idk how would I have felt if I had seen blue to red,. I would interpret as the koyomi did everything to save her even if not remembering her. I felt he was connected to ghost girl on soul level, they marry after they die I suppose (some parts were confusing of bboku o)
I watched the pink/red movie first, and then watched the blue one. For me the movies overall had a happy ending. For those who are wondering what it feels like watching movies in this order: I'm happy that Kazune and Koyomi stayed together at th end (which was the ending of a blue movie). Watching movies in this order made me more empathetic to Kazune rather than Shiori. The only thing that made me sad is that Kazune loved Koyomi in every world, whereas Koyomi loved Shiori in some worlds and Kazune in the others. For those who are having a hard time choosing the order: if you want sad ending → 1) blue 2) red happy ending → 1) red 2) blue.
@@shirazuki_7x219 that world isn't relevant to the plot... like yea it was an important event but .. like in the main story line which just includes the two world from the red and blue movie...that whole thing about their kid dieing in another world doesn't really matter cuz it's the story of a different world besides the red and the blue one
I thought they died. And the part they say let’s get married is just their souls in heaven, and that is romantic enough for me. I prefer that narrative. The two souls that went to a world their physical selves never met, but their souls finally met and found peace. That’s a better romantic narrative.
I admit I am biased to Shiori and Koyomi but I also feel sad that Kazune didn't get the love she deserved but also I feel that Kazune robbed something from Shiori in a way. Shiori is suffering as a ghost but Koyomi is obsessed to save her because she loved her so much. Meanwhile, Kazune is helping Koyomi all her life but he doesn't feel the same. However, I have a feeling that the Kazune from 0 is shifting from Kazune from 1. Kuzune 0 secretly helping Kazune 1 to get with Koyomi 1 so she also gets to experienced being loved with Koyomi 1. They fell in love without Kazune 1 being aware that Kazune 0 exists and shifts with her and only revealed in the end. That is why Kazune somewhat feels guilty in a way but she still helps Koyomi 0 shift with alternate universe. That's just my theory but there is definitely a universe where Shiori and Koyomi end up together, it's just that Koyomi can't reach it because the limitation of technology and years of research is so long, that human's lifetime is not enough
whos the naked woman with koyomi. is it a dream or koyomi was able to see a glimpse or a hint in his future that he and shiori will be reunited and get married?
Thank you man ! I couldn't sleep last night watching "Kimi Wo Aishita" ...... After listening to you feeling Aliiiiiiiiiive 😐What a movie ....... sorry my bad I couldn't help myself, They eventually make you cry.
I’m still confused about that one scene where Koyomi was falling asleep on his chair at the institute, where he saw a “vision” or “memory” with someone sleeping next to him in bed it might have looked like Shiori
okey, i have both DVD#s in original japaneese and i payd for these a ton of monney and because of work and thinking i havnt seen this 2 movies... now i see this "explanation" video do i wanna wach this video first and let me spoil? NO... I DONT WANNA- does it happen? YES
I watched blue first, but i still prefer Shiori X koyomi. The storyline is smooth to me too by watching blue first, plus there is a Fin in Red. Although I don't understand why kazune wants to lie about she is from world 85, but she said that her faher is in the same lab as his father, so the fact, actually parents of the 3 MC are in the same lab, if Koyomi follows father, he will meet Shiori, if he follows mother, he meets Kazune, that's mean Kazune probably follow her mother, that's why they won't meet in lab. but still her father gave her the watch. What if there is a world where Kazune follow her father, and she meets Koyomi, found out that he is so smart, and wants to date with him. that's world 85. I just think the lie itself is a lie, if there is a sticker for world 85, she can create a sticker for world 0 too, so I think she is from world 85. The reason she travel to here is to meet Koyomi, maybe is bcuz she just wants to go a world where KazunexKoyomi do not have a conflict (bcuz koyomi die), or since Koyomi time shifted and he is in coma + they didn't end up tgt, since Kazune know the theory, she time shift too and parallel shift to where they end up tgt, that's also means Kazune decided to die after Koyomi's brain die. I think there should be a detailed story for the parallel Kazune too. the theory is if you time shift, the memory will be lose. so world 85 Kazune should be parallel shift, but before she return, she write a letter to world 0 Kazune, ask her to treasure Koyomi if he interact with her, bcuz world 85 koyomi has died, world 0 know the story from the letter, the world 0 kazune originally is attracted to Koyomi too + the letter, so she decided to start interact with Koyomi with the lie. I'm confused like everyone but that's what i think and i wish to see Kazune's perspective movie, since she also make a decision about to either follow her father or mother.
One thing that still puzzles me is if they both lose their memories, how does shiori remember this promise? See in the first universe, kazune was there to remind koyomi to visit the sidewalk, but who could remind shiori? Also, i still dont see where's the time shift, wasn't it just a parallel shift? 😅
For me i didnt really like the ending. It makes sense about him doing all these stuff to save ai, but i think it takes away from the love interest between the mc and kazune. In other words, it seems like she became the background character and not the heroine. Good twist, but i didnt like it much. It would have bbeen better imo to delve into the subject of jumping and pretty much stealing a world that is not yours, as seen by kazune with a dead kid jumping to a world where her kid is not dead….ok nvm. I didnt know theres another movie about ai herself…so that makes me feel stupid. But still, i wish they just compiled it in one movie
Even though I've watched KimiAi first, Kazune x Koyomi feels like the Canon couple imo. I think Shiori x Koyomi feels more like a "side couple" to me. In KimiAi, the relationship between Koyomi and Shiori was more like the Satoru and Kayo from Erased. Koyomi is trying to save her and give her a better life, he is not trying to be with her (as a couple). But in BokuAi, I mean, even the name of BokuAi implies it. Koyomi loves every "version" of Kazune from parallel universes, same with Kazune as well (even the Kazune from KimiAi universe said that she loved Koyomi despite them not getting together). Honestly amazing movies. I'm most likely going to be rewatching it, and I'll start with BokuAi that time around.
@irham750 there's a book 3 but it is not made into a movie. Apparently the story ended with this two movies. The third book's story revolves around Shiori.
This is a shitty, gimmicky Sci-Fi drama that relies on idiot plots to move the story forward the only reason I'm here is because I need to make a review of both for a fucking Facebook page, get on with it.
spoilers buts: Can someone explain to me who is this woman at the end of to every you I've loved before who picks up his medicine? Is that supposed to be Shiori???!!!
@@dark_cat_0 same same i saw the pink one 1st i was lil comfused too but if u carefully watch the end of the pink one the "credit scene" u will hear 2 old people talking where he is asking a lady's name just like in the blue one when he met that lady he asked her name and also how they both encountered in the blue one confirms it's shiori
Sorry if i didnt explained it thoroughly, hopefully the on-screen texts does it, stay hopeful ❤
Ps: if y'all wanna watch the movie then go to a pirate site or sth idk lol, i'd recommend watching the movie first before this video like i said tho
I watched kimi ai from here. Some parts of the audio are altered but its still good
ruclips.net/video/60KVq5NXmm8/видео.html
u forgot something real important the movie kimi ai koyomi meet boku ai kazune when he was following dog near off leak she was there and baku ai kazune shift before she get married she thought baku ai koyomi same has kimi ai koyomi she was try to find kimi ai koyomi but when boku ai koyomi she thought he back to but it not that she thought and baku ai koyomi ask her to go out but she rejected him mamy but end she ask himself to boku ai koyomi when boku ai koyomi give her rings she got shift I wonder where she go
Through the txts r u trying to convey is that the ending scene of kimi ai where koyomi proposes siori for marriage where the two timelines intersected is the scene of the parallel world where kimi ai koyomi and shiori will go but it took place in the boku ai world and eventually disappears due difference in timelines and goes to their new created parallel world.
"To all the koyomi who loved someone not kazune. Thank you. Because of you I get to love kazune." This hits hard
Yea bro,i just watch it earlier😢
@@shabekulislam5131 Koyomi feels lucky that he is the koyomi that loved kazune.
Thats why he thanks all of the koyomi that didn't love kazune.
Basically hes saying "im lucky to have loved you and not anyone else"
this is why I prefer Kazune so much, even in every other universe that Koyomi choose Shiori. Kazune is still there for him. She's truly the one who loved him in every universe
i just watch both movies
and i have a question,
is the movie "to every you ive loved before" the original timeline/universe?
This movie really was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me. And I see many people discussing the love of Koyomi for Shiori and no doubt it was other worldy but I'm way more obsessed with Kazune's sacrificial love for Koyomi.
Ikr I thought I was the only one
Me too
I think the order in which u watch makes difference....i watched blue first and for me kazune is the main female lead and shiori is just a girl from another world that koyomi fell in love with....i bet for the ones who watched pink first , felt shiori is main female lead and the world where shiori and koyomi is the main world & the one with kazune as wife is just a parallel world
@@yanjungrass715 Both is quite sad really. I watched the pink first, and I was already feeling sad for Kazune even though I really like Shiori too. Like, I can't really explain it. But I'm left here wondering is it possible to marry a person who was merely there for you, but your soulmate was actually still out there??
@@erickouhai9818 same goes with me i watched blue first , loved the way kazune loves koyomi yet i feel sad for shiori....and i didn't understan your last sentence, who are you referring to in "merely there for him " and "soulmate "
the fact that koyomi said he will always love kazune in every universe that wasn't true in the universe where koyomi loves shiori T-T
These two movies were really something else :')
Omg I was thinking that
well he only said 100
@@ragsdgreat9969 Not even 100 because in the novel they are not together 35 worlds away from BokuAi-verse. This scene is also not in the novel.
Which is the boku ai universe?
@@alvinlianto8543yes
That means in any universe they both will never end up together?
This comment tied up everything just finished watching it both films on Crunchyroll my brain hurts so much rn 😂
am i the only one who likes the fact that kazune and koyomi are pretty much fated to be together? i watched blue first so i think it’s really beautiful
Yeah i think the ones who watched blue will feel the same ..that koyomi and kazune are meant for e/o
That's why i decided to make this video cuz i know how it feels
@@noSwaggamer Yes, you've really done a great job! Thank you! It feels so great when others feel the same after watching the movie😂
Please drop that website's link, I won't rest easy until I find a universe where Koyomi and Shiori are together xD
Boku ai really make the 2 film confusing, since this universe got another guest from parallel world, and IP value as world identifier make it more complex (in boku ai their universe is number 0 but takasaki kazune in the end tell kimi ai world is the real number 0 and boku ai is world no 2 because IP value work relatively between universe)
To make it easier to identified here's character full name on two movies:
-. Hidaka Koyomi (IP 0 kimi ai) which is koyomi that choose to live with his father after the parent divorce, Hidaka is father family name
-. Takasaki Koyomi (IP 2 boku ai) which is koyomi that choose to live with his mother, takasaki is his mother family name
-. Takikawa Kazune (IP 0 kimi ai) this kazune didn't married with hidaka koyomi and help the parallel research as assistant
-. Takasaki Kazune (IP 2 boku ai) this kazune got married with takasaki koyomi thats why she had takasaki family name
-. Takasaki Kazune (IP 14 boku ai) this kazune who married to IP 14 koyomi but lost her child murdered
-. Sato Shiori (IP 0 kimi ai) the first love of hidaka koyomi but dead due accident in parallel world and become 'ghost'
-. XXXXX Shiori (IP 2 boku ai) the old one who meet old koyomi in intersection, still living but married to someone else
Thanx for the explanation, it make easier for me to understand who and what happen in this 2 movie
Omg that's new but yh ig u can say that
I love your sentiment, but could you please explain to me the last line of your comment? Like, it's really romantic and I want to understand it.
This movie kinda feels like 5 centimeters per second but with science
I was literally thinking the same
OMG.. 5 Centimeters Per Second is mentioned... I must comment
True
The true protagonist was the wife.
I finished this movie like half an hour ago and I’m still wrapping my head around it 💀
(I watched blue first so I am talking in the context of blue (Boku Ai) being “world 0” and pink (Kimi Ai) being “parallel world”)
First of all, I didn’t realize that when he transferred her into a different time, it was WORLD 0 FROM THE BLUE MOVIE 😭😭 So, if I understand, he was able to time shift her to “world 0” 66 years ago, but since he shifted her to before they met, they had that strange interaction in blue 1 month before he died. But in pink, their consciousnesses can be together in what is basically… the imaginary space?
Also I’m curious if anyone feels the same, but I enjoyed Boku Ai more!! Everyone so far has said they feel that the other movie makes more sense, but idk I enjoyed the Koyomi/Kazune love story
Ok imma shut up 🫠🫠
EDIT: (Updated understanding)
Koyomi blue film
-Goes to mystery meeting location not knowing that Kazune put it there at the request of red film
Kazune
-Meets shiori but doesn't know who she is, though they briefly met when he parallel shifted after his grandpa died like 60 years ago, then fully dies one month after mystery meet
Koyomi red film
-Does the same thing Shiori did at age 14, begins a parallel shift but consciousness becomes a "ghost" and he and Shiori can finally be together, but his physical dies
-Kazune never gets to be w/ him
I wouldn’t really call it consciousness it makes more sense as representing the soul. Ending also makes more sense as since shiori died her soul merged with Koyome’s makes more sense than their conciousness merging.
i also liked the boku AI more than kimi AI but the whole boku AI is only to briefly explain about parallel universe and kimi AIis more about koyomi of red film saving his love from eternally staying as ghost of the crossroad ( that could be a possibility ) a a a
I thought the two films were not connected and each film had its own story, so I chose one of them at random and the result was ruin
I started with the blue movie and I understood the events and analyzed each scene logically, but at the same time I deeply regretted it because in the last half hour I got spoilers of the events of the red movie and I knew that the girl with the black hair had become a ghost.
This means that you should watch the red movie first because it is the basis, as the black-haired woman is the hero’s true love
While the blue movie is a sequel that contains details that enable you to know the hidden details that you did not understand in the red movie
Everyone says that they have different endings depending on which order u watch them... but i dont see how... they are both great stories telling stories from diff universes... can someone who watched the red one first tell me... how u guys felt
if you watch the pink one first, its gonna be an happy ending ^^
Same here I don't get it I feel like no matter in what order you watch its still the parallel universe and same ending.
The ending is the same but the way you see it is FAR different from watching red first the events play out as normal with the death of the girl and him spending his life to save her but goes back in time 66 years to a world they never met in to save her. This world he goes to the blue world and everything plays out there because of the events that started and ended in the red world where he married the other girl and forgot about the other world

i watched kimi ai -> boku ai, and when koyomi and shiori decided to run away to parallel world i was wondering why cant they just marry even now, technically they arent blood related, at least they could have talked with their parents about for a solution, that way they would have been happy in this universe and kazune would have been in the other, but it really cleared many things after watching this video , i was hella confused , and man i m so happy to know that they got married in some other unvierse, and that koyomi fulfilled both the promises, i would;ve loved to watch a scene of shiori and koyomi getting married,
i feel sad for the kazune in boku ai, she spent her life with him together till the end
@@iNealChamp OKAYYYYY YESSS thank you. That cleared up a lot.

i liked kazune and koyumi’s story
I watched both of the movies in cinema last month and still can't get it out of my head.
I just live that regardless of what can be considered "the happy" ending Kayomi says "to any other me who fell in love with someone else..thank you bc I got to fall in love with Kasuke. And to the person who fell in love with the other me...I wish you and your lover a happy life" I just love how in both timelines Kayomi and his lover (Shiori or Kasuke) end living happy in one way or another
I’m team koyomi and kazunes but i dio feel for koyomi and shiori. I’m glad they find their happy ending somewhere
The 2 movie are all great and reading all the opinion here in the comment really just become biassed to the 1st thing they watch (though other audience couldn't apply that to them)
I wouldn't say I'm that biassed; though I'm a strong willed person.
(You can judge by my comment which one I am. And bare with me if you're interested to continue reading)
I have such a complete thought of what the movie really is only based on its title itself.
To every you I've loved before: (BLUE)
To me the one who loved you: (RED)
Obviously I prefer the Blue one, to me it's not just bcs the first thing I watch, but the revolving world towards the story is realistic and practical.
(The red on is Infatuation love, it not even consummate love just like the Blue perspective)
Conclusion:
"To me the one who loves you" = I'm the only one who can deepest love you.
Hahaha
this movie punched me in the gut
Kazune is now one of my favorite anime character.
so in my conclusion boku ai is just parallel universe that made for koyomi to never meet shiori🤔😵💫
I'm broken how Koyumi and Shiori didn't ship.
Watching the sunset(pink one) first feels like Kazune is always the second choice.
This was so sad, he dedicated the rest of his life to try save his best friend🥺
They were not best friends they both loved each other😂
boku ai = MC pick her mother Kimi Ai= He pick his father as a result meet shiori, the Main timeline is Kimi Ai not Boku Ai ... in Kimi Ai he finds out he is connected to shiori everytime he goes to a parallel world shiori gets transported with him thats why to Finalized his time shift plan "To change and create a new world line" He continued his current life an adult and created a future without shiori and by not meeting shiori for many many years most likely more or less 30years he came back "he is married to another woman but he did not love her well he did love their children its his master plan to cut the tie when he jump going back 60 years ago in a Time Shift plus he did the time shift when his life is near to death meaning he will completely erase himself to fully cut the ties with shiori in Kimi Ai its explained that the watch is make for time travel but we saw that he set the date of meet up because of their promise so When they activated the time shift he goes back and pick his mother = Boku Ai series as a result the dog is alive and his grand father died due to the DOG he have no reason to meet up with Shiori.
There's no correct order lol. That's the whole point
So there is a timeline where Koyomi and Shiori end up together. That part where Koyomi at the end of KimiAi says "will you marry me?" Wasn't for nothing. It implied that their main timeline versions end up together at least. I watched KimiAi and then BokuAi. Best decision 🤭
I watched boku ai then kimi ai
In boku ai you have a lot of mystery then in kimi ai you get to solve all those mysteries
@@classic8054 true but if you watched KimiAi first you get less confused because you know for the most part what's really going on
@@elwinmarak5277 yeah, but then you won’t get to feel the drama
(which is the scene at the end of this video)
There's basically 2 world lines. The first where she dies and the 2nd where they never meet. For the happy ending to happen, he needed to create a world where they never met.
When they both disappear on the intersection, he acomplishes the goal of saving her from being trapped on the intersection. Then they travel together to a world(s) where they can be together without her dying(though it's never shown)
They chose to show us the end of the 2nd world where they never met instead. But if you want to put your heart at peace, the real ending is at the end of the red movie where they both disappear together as "ghosts" on the intersection. (which is again the scene at the end of this video)
so the pink movie made the blue one?
It was as easy as time shift to an universe where they dont paralel shift to an universe where their parents arent divorced and instead they just confess to their parents their love and those tell them that they can marry anyway, by how choices works this universe exists and is way less far away from the IP 000 than the one they never meet (because is a way closer choice thus more distant universe) c:

trulky a great interactive anime movie (glad to watch and finish both)
the realizaiton no matter which is first..its just painful..
Shiori and Kyoomi's fate is painful yet
Kazune the true MVP , love that girl!!!
-Time Shifted when he shifted to a world and came back a young and married shiori
-Parallel Shifted when koyomi fused to Koyomi in Boku Ai world with no memories and fufilled the promise meet up.
-and the world that they never met
Bro this is just so sad koyomi spend his whole life just to save a girl, shiori wait her whole life at crosswalk , and kazune never gets her love , just sad
Same
That's why the blue universe is not the main timeline it was created by red version of koyomi
I think the quotes that said to every me who doesn’t love kazune is explained like this
Koyomi said to every me because he keep trying to go back to the time whe he meet kazune . I believe he only met Shiori once he just want to fulfill his promise that he will met her in the crossing path .
one more thing the reason people like KIMI AI more is it focus about stories emotions more BOKU AI a little more only I like BOKU AI because it explains parallel universe a quite well
I'm a good chess player (1500 but I've beaten 1600s several times before) and this anime still broke my damn brain.
for my understnding...koyomi and shiori went to the same capsule thats why shiori trap in koyomi's radius.(like steins gate when tutturu girl dies in every timeline)
and i think Boku Ai only Exist because of Kimi Ai...if im correct...Koyomi from Kimi Ai invented the Time Shift and went to a timeline(imaginary world) when they didnt met..(to escape in his Radius) but the flaws is he will be in coma and no previous memories in the new world..hence Boku Ai world..
anyone please correct so, in the end of "To the Only Me Who Loved You " shiori and koyomi meeting together is like their final being before going dissapear? since because koyomi finally cut off the radius where the incident would likely to happen, so the existence of both of them knowing each other didn't exist so in other words koyomi x shiori (in the incident radius) never really happen so that's why they slowly dissapear at the ending am i right?
EDIT: so in LN shiori and koyomi after the time shift their timeline seperated and created their own timeline where they met in the cross walk retaining their memories and got married since its their promise am i correct?
These movies broke me
In simple conclusion the ending depends on heroine showed in cover
To me, the only one who loved you
-> Koyomi loves Shiori
To you, All whom I loved
-> Koyomi loves Kazune
For me there is no sad ending or something like that because there is many parallel worlds so we can't decide if Koyomi ends with Kazune or Shiori is sad ending because one of either is not selected. They are both selected even if not in the same world.
Yeah Kazune from red doesn't end with Koyomi and She send letter to Kazune from Blue make us think Kazune from Red and Blue have a sad fate cause Kazune not the first choice of Koyomi (not to mention Kazune from world 14 lose her Child) but what the matter anyway she still ends with Koyomi in the Blue Movie
Sorry for my terrible English

a heartbreaking story
1st movie : kimi ai is mc
2nd movie :boku ai is old man
what really happened feel bad for mc he travel so many world to save his lover but he can't not save her because anywhere mc go she always follow him so in the end mc die she also follow ( in 1st movie ending she was ghost there when mc shift she also follow him they just grab each other hand and it's trun error so that old man don't understand what happened ) so he try everything he can but he lost in end last moment off 2nd movie that old woman don't look like her it all ( maybe i am wrong) so mc die just like her also this old man lover meet mc when mc 1st time shift he follow dog in sunset time she was there she originaly try to find mc but end up with this old man but before they get marriage she also shift and never come back to world 0 the question is where she gona so no one get chance to live with someone that they truly loves hmm sad ending
For those who are wondering what it feels like watching movies in this order:
I'm happy that Kazune and Koyomi stayed together at th end (which was the ending of a blue movie).
Watching movies in this order made me more empathetic to Kazune rather than Shiori.
The only thing that made me sad is that Kazune loved Koyomi in every world, whereas Koyomi loved Shiori in some worlds and Kazune in the others.
For those who are having a hard time choosing the order: if you want
sad ending → 1) blue 2) red
happy ending → 1) red 2) blue.

10:10 Nah bro the universe you are talking about is not real it's their imagination while they time shift.
I prefer watching To me , who loved you at fast and then To every you whom I've loved before ... gonna watch Kimi ai again ...

Kimi ai has the better story line imo as it was about the guy tries to help the one he lost whereas boku ai is more about the switching
also i notice in kimi ai the first time koyomi parallel shift where he saw his grandpa's dog yuno theres a girl that might the kazune from boku ai
That's indeed Kazune of Boku Ai it is where she said Koyomi protected her from a dog
I just want to see shoiri be happy it kinda confuses me
this honestly helped
felt empty asf after watching them
Following Quantum Mechanics... Isn't there multiple universe in that they Ended up together anyway?😂
Bruh reading that explanation made my head hurt
My head hurts but some how understand everything
Still wonder why people hate this movie.
my head..
I'm confused like everyone but that's what i think and i wish to see Kazune's perspective movie, since she also make a decision about to either follow her father or mother.
im depressed now
Thank you for detailed explanation, you’re right i’m not depressed anymore …… the puzzle have been completed ❤
One thing that still puzzles me is if they both lose their memories, how does shiori remember this promise? See in the first universe, kazune was there to remind koyomi to visit the sidewalk, but who could remind shiori?
Also, i still dont see where's the time shift, wasn't it just a parallel shift? 😅
It’s because Shiori didn’t shift her time and Koyomi didn’t know the face of other Shiori other than the one he met.
Thanks i needed this
am i the only one who cant find the head and tell of this anime 😂😂
Imma just wait for the third movie. And hopefully they give us better clarifications and happy ending
There are the third movie?!!
@irham750 there's a book 3 but it is not made into a movie. Apparently the story ended with this two movies. The third book's story revolves around Shiori.
@@leegrace122790 Where can we read the book?
@@rakeshkumars9176 not sure, honestly
@rakeshkumars9176 amazon sells the book 1 & 2
Still Kazune best girl
This is a shitty, gimmicky Sci-Fi drama that relies on idiot plots to move the story forward the only reason I'm here is because I need to make a review of both for a fucking Facebook page, get on with it.
You watched in Japnies and stell sad 😂
spoilers buts: Can someone explain to me who is this woman at the end of to every you I've loved before who picks up his medicine? Is that supposed to be Shiori???!!!
Yes she was shiori
@@yunosart5941 that was confusing idk i didnt recognize her (i saw the pink one first)
@@dark_cat_0 same same i saw the pink one 1st i was lil comfused too but if u carefully watch the end of the pink one the "credit scene" u will hear 2 old people talking where he is asking a lady's name just like in the blue one when he met that lady he asked her name and also how they both encountered in the blue one confirms it's shiori
Which should I watch first?
