@@jasonpeng33 Ditto. After all they had been through to get that close and not quite get there was tough. I loved when they played in the Silverdome. Sure it was a football stadium and they weren't the main tenant, but it was a huge advantage. Was one of the few places Larry Bird consistently played poorly. No other team could host a game and fit 40-45,000 people. It was so loud. In either '87 or '88 they managed to draw 63,000 for a regular season game against Boston. I went to 2 games there in the spring of 88. I miss the dome.

Not to play him to ease the pussy attitude. Was it Briwn who then told all the kids what he was willing to do. Selfish bunch. Like Rio. Nba guys rented a huge yacht to stay on. Only Durant hung with other US kids. From day 1 the girl who won Archery gold was only there 3 days. Woke up eating breakfest when Durant shows up like a normal guy. That inspired teams. He showed up at Beach Volleyball games from start. Hanging in the sides of stands. When he got noticed plus him staying in dorms he was getting press. Then Lebrin and rest started showing up but were just looking like they cared.

Thank you for your comment. I’m a Lakers fan, but even the announcer says it’s a foul. Granted: it may not have been the hardest foul, but it was a foul. It probably would be a different story if he had jumped up and not towards Kareem. Also, Kareem was a master at drawing fouls. (The greatest players usually are.) There was still time for the Pistons to win the game, and they could have won Game 7.

The 1988 Lakers were quicker defensively than in '89 when they played Detroit.... Just go look at the difference in the Lakers defensively...it's like Detroit had so many open shots and free range to the lane in '89 vs. '88... In '88, even in the Lakers' losses, it's like the shots were contested when Detroit shot or drove the lane they had to do more to create shots because the Lakers were more active defensively.
