Too bad the game didn't explain the relation between the witch trial and Andrew confronting his past because the prologue suggests players that this game is about supernatural but leaves no hint that it might be about psychological horror. Maybe if the prologue only shows the demon in front of Andrew when he was trapped outside the burning house and the game collaborate more on Andrew's past instead of the town's witch trial history, then players will likely to correlate his past and the trial.

The Slender Man was the IRL Reverend Carver, the little girl was a problem child and Carver offered her parents to give her private lessons. We don't know what those lessons entailed, but given his Satanism and the drawings of him as a demonic figure, we can assume that they weren't pleasant.
@@disposable_income_andy I haven’t seen anyone guess that the witch trials were symbolic to Carver’s inner conflict about the house fire at the beginning. The only thing that was guessed in this video that was actually purposeful to the overall story was that Carver might be the bus driver (Charlie speculated that) and that Jackson guessed the voices on the bus were in the bus driver’s head. It’s a good twist in that when it’s explained to you it makes sense and you kinda start to like it a bit but as far as the game is concerned it is the most boring outcome and, again, makes all the character stuff seem pointless when there was such a huge emphasis on characters. The demon and the trials was Andrew’s insanity making sense of what went down from his perspective. He was reading a lot of witch trial books and has always been fascinated by them since you see them since in the beginning of the game and on the bus. His obsession with witchcraft stories along with his concussion and fractured mentality from his family’s death inseminated this whole scenario in head. Was also more likely to happen when learning he would have to go though little hope which started the episode to begin with. Still kinda lame though that he was by himself the whole time so it doesn’t matter all too much who lives and dies when it’s all in his head
I know this is months later but.. There's 3 endings for the game, The good one, you and everyone who survived while on Vince's good side and pick to condemn Carver. Everyone goes to diner and it reveals that it was just Andrew. The bad one, if everyone dies, you blame Mary and you are still in possession of the gun, Andrew will un alive himself. Alternate ending, if you're on Vince's bad side, and destroy the doll once you come back you get accused by Vince of murder and that how Andrew ends up being arrested. Basically, Andrew finally stops blaming Mary for the house fire, Andrew blames her still and can't stand the guilt, and Tanya's boyfriend has not forgiven you and has you arrested for that fire.

just to let you know, the reason the witch trials exist is because it was a mind fantasy from the main character, the reverend from the witch trials represented the priest (the monster claws and the one at the funeral) who convinced mary to burn down her house.
My first playthrough I was mad confused about the witch trials inclusion in the game. Turns out at the very beginning of the game you can see Andrew as the bus driver put down a book on his dashboard that covered the topic of the Salem Witch Trials. So that book + crash trauma + schizophrenic episode + Dark Anthologies somewhat crappy writing at times it makes sense.
Setting up mary as this evil demon was Andrew trying to forgive his sister for starting the fire, trying to get rid of his guilt for being the only one alive, and the witch-trial stuff was just him imagining his family dying in the same ways.
Alot of people get the feeling that it didn't matter what they did, but that's just not the case. Sure, some deaths might have not mattered but to help Andrew's mental state and forgive himself and his sister really changes the game. The personalities were about who his family really were, some bossy and arrogant. Andrew is actually a big coward surprisingly
Here's an explanation of the ending (**spoiler alert** for the whole game): If a character has negative traits "locked" at the end, they die. The main way to "unlock" those is by taking the "heroic choices" with each character. It is counterintuitive, but the main hint towards doing that was what the curator said about "people having to face their own demons". The whole game was about Anthony/Andrew (the bus driver) facing the "demons" of his past (dealing with his guilt for not being able to save his family), which is why all of the "past" events mirror what happened with Anthony's family, including what/who you ultimately decide to blame for the fire (Mary/Megan, her doll, the reverend - or ultimately yourself, in the worst ending). In a way, all of the other characters can be interpreted as different parts of Anthony's psyche (so when their negative traits are "unlocked", Anthony is improving himself). The witch trials setting was probably related to Anthony being interested in that topic (when he picks up the Shroud of Innocence book at the start, he says it is "the perfect distraction from this madhouse"), and the reverends (both the colonial one and the one in the 1970s) were evil because the game kinda implies that Anthony's sister (Megan, which is mirrored by Mary) was being abused by the 1970s reverend (at some point, you can find a letter from him - addresed at their mom - that says "please see me after service so we can arrange time for some personal instruction (for Megan)").

Charlie’s full laugh is intoxicating
Not sure how Charlie is so terrible at QuickTime events. It's actually incredible.
They make this game so much better.
Setting up mary as this evil demon was Andrew trying to forgive his sister for starting the fire, trying to get rid of his guilt for being the only one alive, and the witch-trial stuff was just him imagining his family dying in the same ways.
Do you know dewey?
Do you know dewey?
that's your mom.
This is rare footage of Charlie showing emotions. He's learning
Family dies horrifically
Charlie:laughs in evil😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the funniest guy on youtube.

The fact that jackson literally predicted this entire game besides the fact it was all in his head
Why isn’t the name of the game or anything in the description
Yea name pls?
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope
Its Little Hope
That’s a good point. RUclips title formatting has gone too far.
In the span of typing this comment you could've easily googled it.
I may or may not have choked on an orange-flavoured drink while watching this video.
Here's an explanation of the ending (**spoiler alert** for the whole game):
If a character has negative traits "locked" at the end, they die.
I was so confused but Charlie and Jackson made it very fun
This game is so funny, do more
If anyone is wondering the game they are playing is called Little Hope
Holy shit I scrolled for so long to find this. How does everyone just immediately know what game it is and NEVER MENTION THE NAME?? Thank you!!!
