Lol, that little musical fanfare as The Great Suprendo walks out on stage, I'd love that to accompany me everytime I arrived somewhere. I'd never ever tire of it. XD
I dont recall the script being that poor....it seemed hilarious 30 years ago! I must say, what a professional Stu Francis was getting through that rubbish!!
I was only four when this finished but I had a 1983 annual (for some reason?!) I remember 'what's in the box' it's always been in my subconscious somewhere. Oooh I could duff a daffodil
This was the first use of the "Gunge Tank" in the history of Television. Not Gunge, but the Gunge drop tank. And Francis was either thick as shit during Take A Chance or the visual effects guys didn't like him, because he was gunged every week!!! Someone PLEASE upload a few episodes of the francis Era!
Or he enjoyed it😘. I certainly enjoyed watching him getting gunged as an then 7 year old girl every week but had no idea why at the time🤔. Some of us just like getting messy😘😘😘
They should use the question as i.d, to see if you're old enough to buy alcohol etc: Ask them It's Friday, it's five to five, time for........? And if they don't answer Crackerjack!! they're not old enough to buy the items!
I'd bet money stu Francis is doing panto now, it's where all the has beens go, end of the peer panto crap' it's behind you' Christopher biggins and all those tv oddballs of old
He Certainly had that irritating face and a love of tracksuits and giving all the answers to questions away to the Girls. Could " ooo i could crush a grape" be an in joke reference about something else? Stu mysteriously, vanished from our screens years ago, i am surprised he ever got on the television. Anyways i will leave you to figure it out
Was it Jimmy The Hoover? It looked like the singer, sounded as crap as him and he wore a jacket like that when the band were on TOTP playing the god awful Tantalise. That is on RUclips so watch it and weep at the dreadfulness.
As a kid the 'oooh I could crush a grape!' line used to crack me up everytime... Great stuff!
R.I.P Ed "stewpot"Stewart, the good old days of kids tv

Might not be the fondest era of Crackerjack but it's the only one I remember - I was 4 when Stu Francis took over! But I loved it as as a kid!
It ran for 29 years because kids loved it.

I can just about remember Crackerjack, I was only 6 when they canceled it.
When Stu Francis took over, it marked the point in my childhood when I suddenly thought 'Hang on, even for kids telly this is bloody rubbish!'.
As a kid i used to love crackerjack, now i'm grown, i enjoy being a crackerjack
According to wikipedia the last ever episode of Crackerjack was aired 28 years ago today! 21/12/84.
Fun fact: The Xmas '83 edition of Crackerjack was actually filmed at BBC Television Centre!
Pity you can't get DVD's of this 1980's series of the Jack: I've tried all over the world, beileve me.

With all the pc transphobia stuff, panto seems banned.
