At 17:14 that was quite fun and premonatory that the clip for Paul Young was from Hall & Oates. The following year, he would have sang "Everytime you go away" originally from Hall & Oates, but his rendition was a worldwide success.
I've had a thing for Green since I was 12 (1988) when I saw him performing "Oh Patti" on Telethon '88. The shyness, his good looks, that voice and amazing lyrics...all of it❤
Paul and Toyah appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks as well - Paul three times (in 2000, 2002 and 2006) and Toyah five times (in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2005, the last one also being Mark Lamarr's final episode as host). Both were tons of fun when they were on the show. Toyah flirted with Mark a lot, while Paul sang a self-written music hall song called "Touching Cloth".
Toyah still is, I watch her Sunday lunch series she puts out on youtube, very talented and entertaining, she hasn't changed one bit, still just as gorgeous.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don’t know what it was I was just lying in bed listening to RUclips and inexplicably the pop quiz theme tune came into my head. Me too, poor Green really suffered that day; I felt his uncomfortability just watching it. That Glitter is vile makes me want to kick him in the balls.
Gary Glitter was just cringeworthy here in so many ways kind of subtly showing what we wound up finding out. How he would buzz and stall the answer or have it answered for him. Mike Read showed way too much patience with that. It was also gross he way Glitter was pawing Annabelle and Green especially looked more and more uncomfortable as the episode went on. The body language with him moving further away is a bit of a giveaway.
Spot on with everything you said there, especially Green's clear dislike of Glitter. Mike Reid did get a bit pissed off with the stalling toward the end, but yeah, he was way too lenient.
What a pity Gary Glitter is on this episode, apart from him it's a great line up, my sister dated Pete Phips the drummer from the Glitter band always felt sorry for the guys from his band, they were good musicians, & had a few hits on their own, so his pervy behavior ruined their chances of playing.
That should be the case but I'm pretty sure he only served a couple of months and effed off to Cambodia or Thailand. I think we know why he went there....
+billy miami dolphins gunners taaffe Damn yeah, Glitter made me laugh a couple of times and I felt guilty just for appreciating what humanity he had. I guess he probably wouldn't have been a big pop star if he hadn't been a bit funny and charming. Still he is an utterly disgusting piece of crap though, given what he did.
Ha ha. That bastard Gary Glitter is currently a guest of Her Majesty not a million miles away from where I live. I wonder if Green and Annabel still get the creeps when they think about this show.
Definitely "Leader". That was what his fans used to call him. It came from the song "Leader of The Gang (I Am)". My ex was a fan of Glitter when he was a young teenager in the late 70s, and he always referred to him as The Leader.
Drummie Zeb is dead and Gary Glitter is alive: there is no justice. Even without the hindsight of GG being a major sex offender, grabbing Annebel's face and forcibly kissing her is SO creepy.

They are both great still.

Gary Shitter, there 's a face I could do without seeing again.

With Gary Glitter slobbering all over Annabel Lamb, I had to check her age. Surprisingly, she was around 29 here, over double his regular dating age!
