Loved fates warning for years and it's finally nice to see the backstage perspective from the band. Ray is so underrated as a singer and should be considered one of the top five singers of all time next to Halford, Geoff Tate and Ralph Scheepers hands down.
Ray has to be one of the nicest guys in music...he's so chill. Met him way back in the eighties and thought the same thing then. Class act. Oh, and the new album is awesome too.
31 years ago Ray Alder performed at his VERY FIRST show in the world with Fates Warning on March 20,1988 in Baltimore Maryland and played 2 shows a all age matinee show and a night show for 21 and above. Savatage was also on the co-headling show. This was 2 days before the release of " NO EXIT" Cd. I was lucky enough to hang with Ray before the show at sound check and out in the parking lot and have a few beers and some other goodies lol. My former band MYSTIC-FORCE also opened for Fates Warning on May 15 1988 in Baltimore Maryland and several other times in Baltimore MD and Virginia as well. Fates Warning will always be in my top 5 favorite bands and I just saw Fates Warning & Queensryche in Baltimore MD at a SOLD OUT SHOW. I've been a fates warning fan for 30 years... Ray seems very human.... its funny how he say's, I'm 51 years old now... Yep, we're all 50 and climbing!! Partying? NOPE!!!

The bands? They make money from their guarantee for playing the show, merch sales, meet & greets with fans, etc.
