    I looked for this video few months ago but there was none on here.. so I did exactly as you done here.. only in had to use common sense and my good practical skills. My car was blowing huge clouds of black smoke and loss of power.. took it to garages who could not fix it let alone even attempt. After being turned away at several garages I gave up and investigated myself.. took the panels off.. cleaned the egr valve then put it back on.. still no fix.. took it off and cleaned the ports.. all covered in gunk "coal like deposits". Cleaned everything and had to burn the coal deposits from the pipe.. by setting it on fire.. put some loose screws and bolts inside the pipe and shaking it to loosen all the crap inside.. my car now runs as it should. Plenty power. But sadly its time to do the job again after a few months.. have only just noticed some plume of smoke from behind.. so, time to sort it out again.

      gw1nya1al1 Glad to be of help. If you need to do it again after a few months then there is something wrong with your car, either bad fuel, bad injectors or worn rings, either that or you may have dislodged a large lump of crap deeper into the engine and blocking flow. Did you use a vacuum cleaner as you cleaned ports as suggested in the video?

    I'm in depression, what anxiety and bad body, I've broken my girlfriend's car recently bought second hand, she takes out her license leaving her skin .... she spends on the car ... it worked perfectly and I go I say wait before changing oil we are going to clean the egr and change filters and put new transmission oil and all good, because it is a dci 1.5 Scenic 2 2004 101cv diesel. 130,000 km, it has a turbo, belt, valves, segments, water pump, injection pump, 2 injectors, everything included, wiring and sensor sanitation, wiring was perfect. The car worked very well but I thought to do a good maintenance and cleaning and to remove the egr and the pipe. I clean it and leave it pristine new. And the quantity as it was indicates the manual, and a thousand tutorial videos. And I connect the only cable that I released, the one from the egr. Everything well assembled there is no possibility of putting it wrong. I'll clean this for you first and change everything for free. Well, the only thing that has been done is to clean the pipe, put it in its place and the same with the valve. Well, now I'm going to start, it starts and after 10 seconds it heats up. Now I try to start and only the starter motor sounds, I don't even notice that the engine moves. Only the starter or so I think... my God I'm super upset... when I try to start it doesn't even start, it only sounds the starter motor, or so it seems to me, although if I notice in the exhaust pipe, that it releases air pressure, it pushes but it doesn't start... I'm and we're super sad... I feel terrible... what a bad feeling. I who gave

    I have a Scenic II 1.5 Dci from 2008 and had some power loss. I was thinking that the mass Air Flow meter sensor is not working correctly so I just unplugged the socket from it and went for a ride without that. I got more power, so I drove like this for 2-3 days but after that when I was driving in the city, in the 5th gear, I was hitting the gas pedal but I could not go faster than 80 km/h. After that it got worse, I could not accelerate over 2000rpm. Finally ended up with the engine stopped. Every time I restarted the engine it went well for 5 sec after that died. I am planning to change the MAF meter sensor + fuel filter but I think that will not solve the problem. Do you think that the EGR valve could cause this kind of problem? Thanks for the advice

      What did you do to solve your problem?

      +Oguz Mazlum I had to cut the particulate filter and wash it out at a garage. they used ultrasound technology to remove the soot. after putting it back it worked perfectly

      +Oguz Mazlum the particulate filter was completely blocked. this is why the engine died all the time

      So a Scenic II 1.5 DCI without that filter would not have major problems with unplugging the air flow meter sensor? I just want to see whether the car & engine drives better or not.

      You can't remove the filter unless you turn off all the sensors before and after it. I think if you unplug the Air flow meter sensor the car will use more fuel. Maybe you will have some more power, but I am not sure if that won't affect the engine in the future

    Hi, I've just done an EGR and the light is straight back on. :( DF027. Does the new EGR need adapting by Renault
    I can command the EGR open and closed with my scan tool so I have seen it working, by scan data tells me it is at 1% and
    ECM is commanding 17%
    Thank you.

    How did you get at the nuts for the wipers? I've pulled at the caps on mine but they won't budge. Is there a knack to it?
    Great video by the way.

      Isa Bilal The plastic caps should just pop off with a bit of gentle prying, try not to damage the plastic. if they are reluctant you could VERY GENTLY use a heat gun on a low setting to warm and expand them a bit, DO NOT get the windscreen glass hot!

    • @IsaBilal
      @IsaBilal 9 лет назад

      Got them off! I just needed to be a little more forceful and was a bit worried as there was no clue in their design that they can just be pulled off. Thanks for replying. I am due to give this a go this weekend. The metal cowling going back on looks the most difficult part. Would it be better doing it before the plastic engine cover goes on?

    Hi, I have a Renault Grand Scenic 2004 1.9 Diesel. I have check injection every so often and pickup is not that good. have changed glowplugs. Put OBD on and reads P0670 glow plug module control circuit. Do i need to change the glow plug control module or the EGR valve.

    • @bundanoonboyebay
      @bundanoonboyebay  9 лет назад

      Nadeem M poor pickup could be related to egr valve needing a good clean, should be done at around 80,000 miles anyway. rarely need to replace egr just clean it and the housing it is in, being careful not to dislodge crap deeper into engine ( I used a vacuum cleaner as I went) As for your fault code wquld be worth going to renaultforumsuk to have a look for answers.

    you will need to reset the egr adaptive in ecu using renault clip software, otherwise a 10-15 drive and ecu will change setting automatically and any error message should clear

    Salve, io quando possedevo la vecchia megane 1.5 dci ho smontato e pulito periodicamente (ogni 15.000km) la valvola egr, e i benefici si notavano, ma ora che al posto della vecchia megane ho la nuova scenic x mod sempre diesel 1.5 dci, le cose sono cambiate: la vettura ha due anni e mezzo e 30.000km e già a 18.000km manifestava i classici sintomi della valvola egr intasata ( causa un utilizzo misto: città e extraurbane) ma non posso pulirla da solo in questa auto in quanto il vano motore è fatto in modo che la parte in oggetto è molto nascosta e bisogna smontare troppa roba, è troppo scomodo purtroppo. Lo stesso discorso per il filtro antipolline.
    Cosa che non mi è ancora accaduta con il motore diesel vw 20 tdi del tiguan, che va come un orologio da quando lo ho acquistato......, meditate gente.

    That's a little over 40€ for that EGR valve, that's DIRTY CHEAP, man. In Oscaro, the cheapest one is like 110€ for the same engine. Still working?
