Am I the only person in 2021 watching every single one of these videos for the 10th time trying to make it just one damn lap without crashing?......I'm gonna have a heart attack dude this game is killing me
I found that if I start with like a 17 stability I learned the game so much quicker. I have been playing for like a week now and have no issue with falling over on the stock tracks at least. Starting with a high stability will just take you longer to learn the game.
is there a snapshot im missing to put my foot out? i watch people uploading stuff from mx sim and their foot is out WAY more often than mine does. kind of weird^
If I'm riding in real life I sit on the edge of the seat around corners with the bars slightly turned the way I'm going with the bike leaned over. This game should have has a bike steering and side-to-side rider lean control. doesn't make much sense to me or am I thinking about this too realistically?
How big of a deal is throttle control for cornering? I feel I attribute a lot of my slide outs or cross rutting to bad throttle control. I tend to have a lot of trouble sticking in ruts that aren't a very high bank.
throttle control is a big part of this game when cornering. especially if you are riding 450 to start off your game experience. 250 is much easier as far as tapping your throttle. If you see yourself entering a rut for example, a rut to the right: and you fall over on your right side, you were either not going fast enough or leaning over more than you should have been. No on the other hand, if you find yourself shooting out of the rut: well you have entered the corner too hot and need to coast through the corner while tapping the gas in one of your lower gears. I'm not a pro rider at all, although I am an amateur rider. As everyone says you have to play the game to get good. And as bad as that sounds starting off, its the only way. try and meet some beginner level riders and add them on skype or whatever you guys prefer. Riding with people helps alot and make the game alot ess intensive and rage heavy as it is. If you feel frustrated at the time take a quick brake and come back and try again. Practice makes you a better rider in this game. practice, practice, practice. Hope to see you all racing!
You need to slow it down and smoothly roll on the throttle. It's all about throttle control. Most of this game is about throttle control. Cornering, whoops, rollers, jumps, whips, scrubs, berms, ruts, etc. coming from a top 10 250 rider with 2 AM championships
downloading bikes and tracks all this stuff was very easy but I accidentally deleted the file that I had my game and everything in and lost all of it when I tried downloading bikes again they would not download but kits helmets and tracks would can you plz help???
i turned arcade physics off and omg.. i cant control the rider i fall over ever time please help i have the demo but i will bw getting the full version sometime this year
On demo is it different then when u actually buy it? In demo ur only in first person and when I turn I make really long turns and completely go off the track
What exactly is the benefit of sitting down in the corners? It usually just makes it harder for me to stay in a rut. I'm new to the game so I'm sure there are a lot of things I'm still doing wrong.
Thank you, this gave me the information to keep pushing forward with trying to learn this. But I'm just wondering what controls your using? I see you hitting the X, A, and Y buttons. I'm sure 2 of those are the shifting obviously, but the other one? Wondering if I'm missing a useful key bind here lol
I admit.. I played sim for months before figuring out arcade physics, lol. I've been playing the game for so long, just don't have good enough internet to do RF
Great vid! Q- I only have the demo right now. Is the full game far different in terms of learning how to play it correctly? I own a laptop with an i3 processor. Will this handle the full version? Thanks.
I've pretty much given up on mx sim, I play mxgp2, im on a team, and Im currently racing in a an online season standing 2nd over all in points, I've lost interest in mx sim because its frustrated me to the max.
ur missing out In a country like mine, online league racing is non existent and rF races start 5 am monday, how worse could that be. But im decent at it, :)
You have to go to the forums and download the skins. Also download winrar, once you've downloaded the skins or tracks or snapshots etc you'll put it into your MX sim folder, then right click and hit extract here unless its a saf file already(then you cant extract it its already done) thats all
You have to have really steady hands like we mention in the video. Don't just crank it one way or else you'll fall right over. Try to be smoother on the controls
Do most people complete a slow lap of Alcrest, no jumps on their 3rd try right after watching? I guess my quick learning thing is true. I can't wait to get this into my muscle memory, just that feels good. Either way, slowly building up the speed and risk on Alcrest feels like a good idea to practice.
You mean lean forward? because most jumps have a "kicker" which is where the very tip of the jump has a lip that kicks your back end up, its meant to send you higher in the air. Try leaning back when you go off a jump. I'v never played sim but this is what I do irl.
bmx bros lean back and turn the way you want to on takeoff, then let it bring itself back but turn the opposite way a little. Just play around with them
one you get below 30 on stability and play with the settings you'll get it. I used to run 5 and lean forward and jerk back on the face and got some nasty whips out of it.
I watch these and I feel like I learn so much in such a short time span.
i love watchin these old vids man. legendary.

are you still alive?

Really nice and professional video as always
how do you shift more effectively ?
Get better keybinds and a controller
When I play my leg doesn’t stick out tho how can you make it and does it help
Oh so you also need an xbox controller? Ive been suffering with my keyboard so much.
Or ps4
@@TheB653gunn does it matter?
@@crimsonMX no not really but with ps4 there is a bit more steps to follow I'll give u a link
@@TheB653gunn i do not care.
Same
Thanks for the video man - I think I'm finally going to download MX simulator! I've been thinking about it for years! 👍
1:33 I play with it on sometimes and I can whip just fine
This video was produced in 2016. The Arcade Mode physics for the game were adjusted in 2018 to allow for the ability to throw whips.
how do you make endure tracks? can you do a tutorial?
is there a snapshot im missing to put my foot out? i watch people uploading stuff from mx sim and their foot is out WAY more often than mine does. kind of weird^

What was used to show the xbox controller buttons as you pushed them?
Why does my guy not stick his foot out when turning a corner
same i want to know how you do that, unless he already does it and i can't see it.
Wyatt Quick turn your dab max speed up to about 40. I wondered the same thing and found this out, lets you hit corners faster too.
can this be the same result in pc?
Soo professional dude!
Thank you, this gave me the information to keep pushing forward with trying to learn this.

sit and stand up
4 years late but A was most likely sit/stand, and x+y are shift up/down
I admit.. I played sim for months before figuring out arcade physics, lol. I've been playing the game for so long, just don't have good enough internet to do RF
can anyone help me please?
I cant play yet... because if i drive in a corner my player doesnt lean and he is crash... what should i do?
this is so good to learn. but it's also frustrating to get it down. Good vid though👍!
How do you turn without fist going the opposite way
First person settings?
first person settings used in this video plz?
I still don't understand how you stick your leg out when leaning
If I send you a link to a video of me riding can you help me out
How do you make the controller display?
this is cool, but what about for keyboard?
Would not recommend playing this game on a keyboard. Much better on a controller
@@StartYourSystems I don't have one sadly :\
What consul are you playing on
PC

John Dow
You can check system requirements on the mx sim website
did you ever get the full game?
thanks for the info. love the track to!!!
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Wait can you buy this on console or do you connect your controller to your pc
It is a PC only game and I connect my Xbox 360 controller to the PC
should i play it on a keyboard or controller?
key board
Spitzkopf Larry controller
Ty Duncan no
All the pros use controllers cause u wanna know why? its easier
Ty is right use controller
easier to play
why do i keep falling over when i ride
Dont care what the sim says when i turn my handlebars right they go right.. weather im sitting still or not..
The problem is is that I can ride 300x better in real life than this game it's just to hard

I dont unterstand how i connect my xbox controller to this game :(
MotocrossBuddies you have to download drivers to your computer. Just look on RUclips and you'll find it somewhere
its imposible to go without arcade physics
It's a challenge at first but certainly very doable!
why does my guy go off jumps and go foward alot?when im without arcade physics
