I live in the Netherlands and we never get earthquakes. Seeing how fast you react by turning off the stove, getting Sutan, opening windows and going under the table is insane. Sutan was a very brave girl the whole time!
We do get earthquakes here, natural ones where I live in Limburg and man made ones in Groningen. However, they’re not as frequently or as big. The biggest one I experienced was in 1992, magnitude of 5.8. I was also incredibly impressed by how fast Moe reacted, my guess is if you live in a country that regularly has earthquakes, you get trained in what to do, to keep you safe.

Here in the US where I live we get earthquakes, Sutan so lucky to have a mom who knows what to do. I could see the fear in moms eyes but she was still doing what's necessary.
Very good quick thinking, turning off the gas and grabbing Sutan all in a matter of three seconds. Stay safe! A mother’s instinct kept them safe, even though Moe was scared, I loved how Sutan was calm in her mother’s arms.

Watching you And SUTAN has become my Saturday morning habit. I’ve cooked about 2/3 of your recipes which my family enjoyed. While there are many YT channels teaching Japanese dishes, I prefer watching yours as you made it look easy and offers alternative ingredients. The pasta spaghetti is similar to what we usually cook as we are fond of sweet pasta but I haven’t tried it with green peppers. THAT this video showed an earthquake incident made me realize how little preps we’ve done to avoid the big one because as another commenter said, earthquakes here are reacted by a freeze; like we stare at each other and count silently. That said, I enjoy watching you and your family grow up and reinforces my love of Japanese Culture. Keep it going and stay safe, Moe!

I hope I may shed some light on the history of Japanese spaghetti. This style of spaghetti had to do with the US military occupation of Japan after World War II. It was created by a Japanese chef inspired by American military rations that was, yes, spaghetti with ketchup (according to Wikipedia). He named it after Naples, Italy, though it obviously had nothing to do with the dish. In short, it’s an American military-inspired dish. But it’s understandable Italians would be taken aback by the use of ketchup.
@@ken-yor8235 I really appreciate your explanation, thank you! I think the Italian people that freaks out about "wrong" recipes exaggerate, but I don't like either people that abuse of the Italian name to make more money. If you want to sell spaghetti with ketchup and cheddar, do it, but don't call them Italian Amatriciana because it's not. And I could even take it, in the mindset of trying different culture! 😄
I know this video was about the spaghetti, but Sutan stole the show! She’s growing up so fast and learning such good manners! I enjoyed watching her crack and scramble the eggs. So cute!🥰🥰 I am glad that you guys are safe❤️
As Italian, it is soul crushing watching spaghetti touched by ketchup 😂 but anyway, other cultures are free to experiment. You don’t know what we are doing with sushi, here in Europe 🤣
@@BonnyT you don’t what you are talking about. Educate yourself. Anyhow, even if pasta is from China (LOL) the way we prapare it is entirely Italian, and we don’t use ketchup. But I didn’t even criticize anyone using ketchup, I just want to express my pain when I see ketchup being used with pasta.
Thank you for always doing videos! They are awesome to see. Then before we moved back to the USA, Kobe struck and that seriously scared me a lot since it was so much destruction so close to home.
If you have to live through an earthquake, Japan is the place to do it. They've been building crazy strong earthquake resistant buildings for hundreds of years. Some of their earliest structures still stand having experienced numerous earthquakes.
Wow, I must try! My family also really love Spaghetti. I'm also surprised about how Sutan and Moe reacted to the Earthquake, so quick witted without panic, thank god you guys were safe. Much love❤️
Coming from another very seismic country (Chile) I could really relate when Moe quickly turned the stove off and grabbed Sutan to get under a table. The number of times my family and I have done the same thing is countless. Like the Japanese, we also develop a sense of when they are coming or happening, even if mild. I loved how Sutan stayed calm. She obviously felt safe in her mummy's arms.
My Mother always wanted to teach us english when we were so young as Sutan. But we didn't like it either. We covered her mouth and after some time trying she eventually gave up. I feel very bad for her now 😅
@@ParzipanYT it may be the sound and phonetics. In my country music in english is very common even when isn't our main language, not secondary (its common most of the population never speaks or understands it) but you get used to it, to listen to it, and with some practice and paying atention ar the school you can learn it
We begin to learn the language our mother speaks while we are developing in utero. Our brains literally form around the language, and we can recognize our ‘mother tongue’ at birth.

So cute!🥰🥰
I am glad that you guys are safe❤️
Omg..her little hand and how she was banging the egg on the counter and cracked it perfectly. Soooo cute
The mere speed of how fast she got it under control is astonishing, a lot of people would just drop and cover their head or panic
It's common in Japan
nice to see you are safe. The earthquake was an Italian who stomped on the floor when you added ketchup to the spaghetti
Beautiful mama and daughter. So gentle and caring.
I just love the ways your videos are and the way handled the earthquake so calmly. It was so cool. Sending love to Sutan and you :)
Sutan is finding her voice! She is such a character and so entertaining!
As Italian, it is soul crushing watching spaghetti touched by ketchup 😂 but anyway, other cultures are free to experiment. You don’t know what we are doing with sushi, here in Europe 🤣
Bravo, hai ragione 👌😂
Baci da Roma
Same! Ima give it a try just the same, just to know. Lol!
I can see why, except that pasta is actually from China (brought back to Italy by Marco Polo), so I guess anything goes!
What a sweet baby! She always makes me smile 😊. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽!
Thank you for always doing videos! They are awesome to see. I remember back in 92 when I moved to the Kanto region; I experienced my first earthquake, it scared me and my father told me to go back to bed. Then before we moved back to the USA, Kobe struck and that seriously scared me a lot since it was so much destruction so close to home.
I swear, Sutan is a ray of sunshine, a breath of fresh air!
Much love❤️
i think your english has improved a lot. Congrats!
Thanks for all of the amazing videos! It's so nice to see Sutan and your personalities shine brighter every upload!!
It's so funny how Sutan dislikes when you speak in english, it's like "mom, stop saying strange things"
Sutan's "Sumimasen" is so cuttteeeee!!! I replay that part for more than 10 times already. How could she be that cute? And big props to Moe, for quick thinking when the earth quake was starting. Super Mama!
Kimono Mama + Su-chan are quickly becoming a Japanese comedy duo (漫才). It’s adorable! ☺️

Moe: „say thank you“
Sutan: konnichiwa
That was soooooo cute
Thank you for sharing your bonding video with Sutan. Your alertness and presence of mind during and after an earthquake is a good way of showing your followers and Sutan, not to panic but instead do the necessary procedure. Good job mommy Moe!!
