@@hallojanelle-travels I'm not an expert in parenting, but I think the positive feedback is meant for Sutan obeying her mother's instruction (and negative feedback if she disobeys it). But if you think otherwise could you elaborate or maybe cite some reference that support your thinking?
@@cooljosh2307 as you can see, sutan climbed again an again because she likes to hear the good job. If the promise and praise worked, sutan would have been done at the first time. But instead she repeatedly did it because in her mind that's the only time she can see her mom smile and get praises

I'm not sure which is more impressive: her cooking skills, her mother skills or her patience. I'm taking notes on her parenting and learning Japanese slowly too as she speaks to her kid.
Totally agree. I'm treating my siblings better because of this, learning to cook better and overall her videos give me so much joy.

I'm quite impressed by Moe's ability to turn everything into a pleasant experience. Like, for example, she had to cut a piece of cake for her daughter, and just turned what was left into a shape of a heart! So creative. I also learn so much from her on how to treat a child. Amazing woman.

Kids at that age are testing their boundaries. It also provides them with a much needed sense of security. 😉
I told you already. it is not a learning tower. It is a siege tower.
Definitely pushing the boundaries and seeing what she can get away with. Not being bad, just seeing how far she can stretch here parent's restrictions before being sanctioned. Kids quickly learn if they can manipulate their parents. Never easy to know where to draw the line. From experience I can say that never imposing a sanction on unwelcome behaviour isn't going to to end well.
Hopefully the tower never tips over and the little girl falls to the floor. It scared me everytime she stood on the seat. Her mother is very patient with her.
Actually I read from Mona Delahooke, Ph.D., that even when young children have the ability to repeat a rule to you, until they're about 3-4 years, they don't have the impulse control to act on it (and that's only when it begins to develop). Small children like adorable Sutan aren't able to remember promises and act on them. Not criticizing Moe at all - I love her family and her channel

I love how Sutan spouts words that are not just random, but are actually related to the situation. For an instance, she says "hot hot" when the cake was taken out of the oven. There's actually more. It's exciting to see Sutan's development of learning.

Moe-san's accent was so good when she said "Okay!" after Sutan touched the cake and then when she said "Fluffy!" Ahh her english is improving so much!

Since she's hearing both Japanese and English, she's learning them both at the same time at a young age, wich is a good time for children to learn new things since their brain is still developing. I bet Sutan can speak English fluently by the time she's all grown up😁

I appreciated the fact that you didn't permit Sutan to completely disobey you before you reacted to her actions, and that you rewarded obedience with immediate excited praise. You are such a wonderful mother, as well as being a wonderful cook.
With respect to Valentines day in Cumbria, northwest England, where I grew up; the tradition was to make a gift of a card and chocolates, or a present (jewellery, perfume, etc) or some such like for one's valentine, but she was not to know from whom it came. No signing the card, and your handwriting was to be disguised, or someone else was write the card so that your handwriting couldn't be recognised.

This year since my kids can’t get candies from school I’m making a Valentine’s basket. Kind of like Easter with candy, books, small toys, and maybe a balloon. But we always give each other cards and say how much we love each other too. ❤️

I’m so glad to teach my 1/4 Okinawan daughter Japanese language and culture, especially the food through your videos! and to refresh my own brain so we can learn together. I’m half Okinawan, and moved between Japan and Hawai’i as a kid, but only my mom spoke to me in Japanese and English became my primary language after 5, but I can understand enough to translate.
