    Some of these are honestly my faves. The little "milkshake" toy looks better than some bought ones!

    They look great! Archie loves the foraging bowls and milkshake toy! I’ve never thought about using straws, they are much cheaper and more difficult to chew open than finger traps! Great ideas!

      Glad you like it! Yes paper straws are cheap and bird safe and can be used in so many ways!

    I have been wondering... are silicone food safe products safe for birds? There are so many cool molds and tiny cooking utensils and I keep thinking of things to do when I see them!

    • @BirdNerdSophie
      @BirdNerdSophie  3 года назад +2

      Hi Chris! I’d give them a miss personally- there’s evidence for and against them being harmful, but there seems to be more info on them being harmful!

    Hi Sophie I recently got a cockatiel I’d say 2 weeks ago? And up until yesterday they where a very chatty bird but he hasn’t made a peep in 2 days and I’m not sure to be concerned or not, do you have any explanation for this?

    • @BirdNerdSophie
      @BirdNerdSophie  3 года назад

      Hey! It could be that they’re adjusting to the environment, but there’s always a chance they it could be down to stress or illness - if in doubt, take them for a check up at an avian vet 😊

    I know non-chemically tanned leather is safe for birds but I don't like the idea of birds chewing on animal skin🥴

      @BirdNerdSophie  3 года назад +1

      They're quite happy to chew on our skin as well 😂
