For the life of me I do not understand The hate you get. I’ve been in the industry. Worked at 2 shops. And the hate you get you can clearly see are from people who don’t Have any experience in the industry. Your videos are quality as always. Keep it up Ben!
Just discovered your channel. Love river smallies but at 87 am confined to lake-boat fishing. Haters??? I hate haters!!! Haters:.....suck it up!! Keep the vids coming.....good job!!
You need to come try the smallmouth on Crooked Creek or the fork of the Eleven Point and Spring rivers in Arkansas. There are no better places to hunt smallmouth anywhere. Period. On my last kayak trip on Crooked Creek this past Spring, 3 friends and I caught 141 fish between us in two days. Mostly smallmouth, but also black crappie, Ozark bass, white bass, a few mountain pickerel, and even a couple brown and rainbow trout.
I'd rather start the day with smaller fish work up to the big ones vs having the biggest fish of the day being your 1st one you guys did it the right way
Working in a Rad reference while fishing just made you the best fishing channel on RUclips. "Break the Ice!" Next week's challenge is "Send me an Angel".
I had a blast fishing for small mouth in north east Oregon in 2017 (was there for the solar eclipse AND the fishing). I am guessing this is either Arizona or Alaska. Right?
That is Lewis’s rod. Not sure what line he had on it but it cast great and the 7 was much more appropriate than the 6 that I had been using. Fun rod for sure.
I think a 7wt would be ideal. I use an 8wt in our lakes, but we often have to horse them out of weeds, so the extra beefy rod is helpful. But I’m also curious to hear what the guys in the video uses for gear.
7wts, with the exception of one 8 wt. I can't speak for everywhere,or the flies you are casting but it's makes a difference. Here a 7wt covers most. Floating line, sink tips, medium to kind of big flies, smallmouth, carp, to streamer fishing for trout. 7wts cover 90% of it. That being said I've always heard of odd or even guys on rod weight. I'm obviously an odd guy in more scenarios than rod wts.

People don’t like people who say things people don’t want to hear. I personally find it refreshing especially after living in the south.
They just jealous!!! Happy fishing!
I hats that I love him

Outstanding... Hi Kyle.
I had a blast fishing for small mouth in north east Oregon in 2017 (was there for the solar eclipse AND the fishing). I am guessing this is either Arizona or Alaska. Right?
Still haven't got a bass on fly, but can't wait for the day
Nice work with the Pro II on Day 3, Ben!

I need to go visit the Potomac to scratch the itch you just gave me
I'm a new subscriber and new to fly fishing and I absolutely love your videos! I haven't fly fished for bass yet but definitely looking forward to it👍
it was great to meet you in person .Stay huge !
Hey what size leader do you use when fishing for these guys
Smallmouth in that area has been hot. So nice we have the option when trout are tough.
Wow looks like a nice day of fishing. I like my hands are full of beer and chicken.
I don't understand what water you were fishing. Was there some structure or drop off in the last few minutes? They were stacked up like chip board!
awesome Ben!! smallies are so cool
Ben just saw your sticker at Andros bonefish club every says hi
Hey Ben, when you wanna come to Virginia and catch some snakeheads? not many people do it yet.
Some nice fish . Stay Huge
KYLE!!!
What weight rod is that and what weight streamer rod would you recommend? To catch any size bass largemought or smallmouth?

But I’m also curious to hear what the guys in the video uses for gear.

Awesome.
Hey Kyle!
I'm new to North Jersey does anyone want to do any fly fishing in the Ramapo?
peak fly fishing
Huge hotspotter
Just because you know where it is doesn’t make it hotspotting. Nice try though. It’s shocking how many people don’t understand that basic concept.
