    At the moment i love the sirui saturn, i had the blazar remus, nero, vazen fullframe the hypergonar. And while all of them have great features i think the sirui saturn have the least deal breakers. Vintage anamorphics and the funky edges of the blazar are sometimes not the best choice for projects that need to look clean, the vazen are super heavy, and the sirui lack a bit character but they somehow work everytime, especially by adding some flavour to the image. Imo the saturn are masterpieces und pretty underrated.

      interesting point of view for sure, at the end it all depends on how you look at these lenses and what you create with them, there’s definitely a place on the market for these

    Good stuff Morty! Did you reach out to Sirui directly and request the Saturns? I've hit up Blazar a few times but they haven't been very responsive. I really want to try the Catos before purchasing but there are no rental houses in the US that seem to have them (at least none of the larger ones).

      Much appreciated! Sirui reached out to me for this collaboration. I have tried to get my hands on the Blazar anamorphics as I can tell everyone wants to see them in a video, but it’s even harder here in Europe :(
      Hopefully I can try them out soon.

    Forgive me if I don't understand what your selling completely, perhaps you could clarify. Are you selling a power grade made in Da Vinci Resolve or have you coded a plugin which goes beyond the inbuilt tools/functionality within resolve? Sorry for my confusion.

    • @MortyFilms
      @MortyFilms  2 месяца назад

      No worries, I will make a video about it very soon. It’s just a Powergrade following the physical way light travels through a lens, emulating the look of older vintage lenses. In fact, you could build it yourself using only effects included with DaVinci. What I am selling is the knowledge and time I put into building this powergrade so you can simply drag and drop it onto your footage and even tweak the look to your liking :)

    Bro your image for the optical drift link as very AI as a lot is wrong with it mainly spelling errors like “spectral Abtartion”? You should fix that or just not use AI

    • @MortyFilms
      @MortyFilms  2 месяца назад

      I hear you, in fact you’re not the first one to point this out. This AI generated image was a great tool for me to just have an image at all for now. I am working on better images for it right now, free of AI. This does not affect the product what so ever.

      @@MortyFilms i honestly would just get a widescreen/ 2:39:1 image with some big font with a title or something like mononodes dot com does. Also mono nodes has amazing dctls. No affiliation I promise. lol.

    I wouldve gotten this but the use of Ai art @3:10, shows that you don't care about fellow artists and for that I cannot support you
    Edited: Fixed Timestamp

    • @MortyFilms
      @MortyFilms  2 месяца назад +1

      Alright, slow your horses. Me using AI for this has nothing to do with not caring about fellow artists, in fact, I shot the music video you saw completely for free. If you know anyone who could design something like this, I would be happy to collaborate with them. I don’t, and I don’t have the budget to pay them rightfully at the moment, so in order to get this out, I used AI to help me with this optional cover picture. I totally respect you point of view, and I will be happy to change it as soon as I can. Just know that without AI, there would have been no picture for this at all, it’s an incredible tool for a small one man crew creator like me.

    I dont think cleanness in a lens is a problem. Also these lenses arent THAT clean either. You are pretending as if these lenses were as clinical as you'd expect a set of NISI Athena Primes to be (which are spherical budget cinema prime lenses).
    I also appreciate the rather subtle lens flare. Its not gone, you can clearly see it, but it doesnt scream: "HEY! I AM A LENS FLARE, LOOK HOW BLUE, BRIGHT AND WIDE I AM - I AM AN ANAMORPHIC LENS BTW!!!!!". You very rarely want that screaming. After all, you still want to be able to see, what you are actually looking at 99% of the time. This film was shot on an anamorphic lens - I can see that - no need to put a full screen "this film was shot using anamorphic lenses, btw." watermark all over your film for its entire duration.
    I already almost annoys me that nowadays all normie film makers think they are the craziest super mega DP because they know what a squeeze factor is and went into very deep debt to buy exactly 1 ATLAS ORION lens.

    • @MortyFilms
      @MortyFilms  2 месяца назад +1

      I hear you, I feel like you might have misunderstood what I am trying to say in this video. I never said these lenses are clinical, all I said was that for my personal taste, these are too clean for me to pick them when I want to shoot anamorphic. Because, as I said in previous videos, I am not choosing anamorphic lenses for a clean look, so I created Optical Drift. There is nothing wrong with liking the way these lenses look naturally and I never said that. It’s all just personal taste.
