It's called Audio fatigue. Believe it or not but exposer to louder sounds for long periods of time can actually effect humans physically. It's the exact same thing when being subjected to exhaust drone 4 hours on end. One of the main reasons I always raced my dirt bike off road wearing earplugs. You could still hear the bike and know what gear you're in and how the bike was running but it prevented the extra stress / physical fatigue. It's awesome that we are now provided the ability to muffle exhaust at the push of a button which allows us to enjoy the louder exhaust note part of the time.

Just got this exhaust about 4 months ago super super happy with performance and sound, its not that raspy in idle, its suttle but when you get on it, the open valve sound is butta! Got it on sale too! grats bro
Iam very happy with mines as well. I hear if you put different clamps it’ll hold up better

@@kevi1349 There is no drone with valves closed..at least i dont get any. I dont have CAI, i run with stock downpipes with cats.
My ECS exhaust been holding up well. The tone will change later and it wont be as loud or rasp. I love your contents man nobody making anymore vlogs and contents much on these S4 keep it up please!

I have 2015 s5 6mt and have this exact exhaust but resonated and mine sounds nothing like this. Mine really only sounds good driving around town respectfully w valves opened. Once I hit the throttle pretty heavy it sounds awful on mine, too raspy and wicked loud even w the resonator. I'm starting to wonder if my clamps are leaking by at higher throttle now after hearing his. His sounds alot better than mine

At this point was most likely Ecs with non resonated valved exhaust.

Not much drone w valves closed but open drone is terrible

Hey man I have an Audi A4 2009 Quattro but I can’t find the vacuum line… any idea where it is?? I have the exhaust fully on but I don’t have the vacuum line set up yet

@Bryan Swanson mine actually didn't have instructions, but I figured it out. I don't normally deal with wiring so it was a whole new world for me

Hi, does this exhast drone when cruse on the high way? If it is, is a resonated version better for 2-3k rpm?
It’s pretty quiet on highway but really comes down to preference.
Not sure if you’ll be able to answer this, but I bought the same valved exhaust but for a mk8 gti. And I can’t seem to get the add a fuse to get the valve to open and I’m not sure what’s wrong
It is check the filter! It might be reverse where air won’t get pass to open the valve. Some people didn’t get a sticker showing which directions to put that filter

In the trunk where battery is and it is activated by vacuum line to close and open valves

It should not
dont know if you have the exhuast right now or not but have you had issues with the batter drainage problem.

anyone having issues with their valves? mine wont open anymore after 6 months of having them on... the control module does make a clicking noise when i press unlock/lock on the keyfob but valves dont open.
Check your vacuum hose or line could be rip
@@Whoismikeyy my vacuum line melted since it came in contact with my exhaust lol used a high temperature rated line this time and zip tied more securely hopefully no future issues now

It stays however you left it.
You literally control by a remote. I think you thought it’s one of those that open and closed at certain speed or rpm but nope.

The exhaust is set like this because I had no choice but to go testpipes and with most catbacks even good downpipes paired with test pipes sounds absolutely terrible. I went with ecs because I’m able to cut all that rasp or atleast keep it to a minimum. It is still raspy and sounds like shit still. I have a solution very soon stay tuned 🤙
I hate mine on my s5 dp I got resonated one too and I get too much rasp and drone. I have stock cats as well. I had awe touring resonated before this and I regret the change
Luckily mine with valves closed is super quiet… I need to try resonated downpipes with it
Did you find your AWE Touring to quiet down a decent amount after 1K miles? For mine, there’s seems to be a lot of variation in sound volume and harmonic cancellation. I think it’s from high dependency on system temperature, especially from the rear resonators of the Touring system. Was wondering if swapping the rear Touring resonators with the valved ECS mufflers would quite it down via use of a baffled/muffled design. Valves open it would be an AWE track edition…
