Audi S5 3.0TFSI part 1 P130A Cylinder Disabling , misfire EPC light ON

    Owner of this S5 found us on RUclips after long conversations over the phone and he sent the car down to us. After we diagnosed the vehicle we had cylinder N3 misfire and disabling. Also EVAP fault code was stored and not confirmed. Once the faults were cleared and the car was driven short distances the problem did not reappear. We noticed there's no vacuum in the engine case so we decided to replace the PCV valve first and check the fuel injectors while the supercharger was off. Also intake valves were clean from carbon build up. And the result was ! More in the video ! Thank you all for watching. Hopefully these videos are helping some of you diagnose similar issues.     2014 S5 6mt, 220k km. Aside from basic maintenance, my pcv is the only thing I've had a problem with.

    2009 A6 3.0T Avant 196K mi (318k km?) and just basic maintenance. PCV, water pump, thermostat. Replacing upper timing chain tensioners right now. Couple of transmission fluid changes too.

    I have rS3 8p I have done coils / plugs/ new oil cap, plug 3/5 , misfiring on them cylinders with plug 5 wet with fuel , pcv been done on rocker cover, I had bank 1 rich code P0172, first time that as come up since having car for over two years ,

    I add a very similar problem with mine and after some one changed the catalytic converter the car was the same in the end turned out it was the spark plugs the last garage add put on the car after I put audi spark plugs on with correct gap the car been fine since

    These s5 are a bloody nightmare to work on.Had a admissions amber light on and the engine wouldn’t go past 3.000 rpm.Stripped it down for a carbon clean and one of the ball joints snapped off on the inlet manifold.Repaired that and did the carbon clean.Put it all back together now I have a EPC light on the dash now.When I changed the coil packs noticed oil on two of the coil packs out of the for cylinders so that leads me to believe the value casket needs replacing.Would that cause the EPC to come on.

    I had one of the same faults on the S5 but the catalyst was clogged. Back pressure 3.5bar

      Wow ! That’s huge , this one was just on the beginning so nothing was leading us to catalyst on the beginning. However part two will be out on the weekend .

      I had the same issues and have done the same repair with pcv, coilpacks and everything. Until I took out the lambda sensor and filmed in there just to see a destroyed a catalytic converters. Nothing in the numbers had me guess the cats

    Hey nice video I have the exact same sound coming from my engine when I remove the oil fill cap. I have installed a new Pcv and still same noise. What ended Up being the issue? Thanks

    I have a 2010 A6 83k miles and some terrible metal clapping, I will upload a video tonight maybe you can use it as a reference for dead engine (?) I also have the channel 93 at more than 9degrees KW so I will replace the upper tensioners without removing the engine to have a nice bed to start diagnosing.

      Hi , well if the tensioiner fully failed you will end up taking it out anyways , too much bits inside the engine what will need removing and cleaning

      @@VAGTechnic thank you for your response! I have inspected the cylinder walls and the top of the pistons with a borescope and the look great, no scratches on the walls or anything. The upper tensioers look fine honestly, I will replace them just because I am already there. How much slack do you have in the upper chains?

    Hi this is Isaac from Syrian I have a problem with the 2020 Audi Q5 no communication no communication at all and when I try to turn on the ignition the accessories comes on and he the cluster does not come on at all and I can't get the car to start and I can't get the scanner to read any of the modules

    I have this exact same problem with a A6 C7.5 US with 26k miles cylinder 6 misfire with a EPC light. I guess the intercooler cores and pcv valve that are in the mail aren't going to solve the problem.... That sucks. Looking at part 2 and I already decatted mine so this will be interesting

      @@ivanshivarov4670 installed the intercooler and PCV valve I ordered and it worked out. I have been busy breaking other stuff on the car related to the emissions system since then

    I had the exact same problem and fault Codes 3 weeks ago. I finally found that the o-ring from the vacuum pump (one way valve) was worn and sucking in false air, disturbing the vacuum system.

      we used them ... good stuff but we end up using BG becuase we have local suplier for trade and they give us good price when we take A LOT

    What do you use for carbon cleaning that extensive? I believe the best thing is preventative maintenance. New to the channel. I like the vids and interesting music and editing. Now, just a better camera and lights would boost the vids.

      Carbon on valves or timing chain.
      Worst case. Pistons .

    I have an audi s5 2012 with 161k kms, it rattles for a second only at a really cold start and the car takes long to start when cold, any ideas what it could be wrong?

    Hello, I have an identical issue with my s4. When I want to pull the car, the EPC lamp turns on and the car don't take any throttle till I restart the car. I already had change the kats to testing pipes, the issue is still there. Maybe someone can help

      limit exceeded.

    Any Audi in Drive mode is crap...in Sports mode, they're awesome. Not sure why this is, but this is how they are. I've never understood it.
