I love your girl design. I think I will make the umbrella out of copper sheeting. Then cover the dress, boots, and hair and out of copper sheeting. Love it! You did a fabulous design.
Where can I just buy the plans for Umbrella Girl? Rather than 2 dollars a month - is there a way to purchase the plans for $6 or $7 dollars? A one-time transaction? Thanks
I love love your design, so whimsical and creative. Your video is detailed and easy to follow. Thank you. I'll have one whirling in our New Mexico wind soon
Nice! Very pretty. I've made a few simple wind vain. One thing I've done was put a piece copper in my propeller so not to wear out the propeller as quickly. Do you share your plans? I like this one.
Loved it, a joy to watch,at this moment in time,I'm am making dancing jig doll to compliment my buckdancing when the busking starts our way,Dave Suffolk
I repaint it every spring. I've had this one for years now and I've had no problem with it. If the fan blades are causing you problems you can make them from thin strips ripped from solid wood
@@RickMayotte I watched a video with a guy using sheet metal for blades because he couldn't get the luan plywood to hold up. I have a bunch of old metal roofing from putting a new roof on our barn. I'm concerned about it being dangerous. Thought about gluing something like aquarium tubing on the metal edge. Truth is I have never made a whirligig before. I have been building furniture most of my life and I built a house and lived in it for 20 years. I'm also a blacksmith. Now I'm an old man, having trouble building big stuff. I love gardening and thought these things would be cool in the garden and on some of the fence post out front. I was a pilot in the Army and love the airplane whirligigs people are making. I flew Huey's and Blackhawks. Have you ever seen a helicopter whirligig? Thanks for helping me out. Thanks for making the videos! Bless your heart!
@@RickMayotte 👉🔴What Do Muslims Believe about Jesus? Muslims respect and revere Jesus (peace be upon him). They consider him one of the greatest of God’s messengers to mankind. The Quran confirms his virgin birth, and a chapter of the Quran is entitled ‘Maryam’ (Mary). The Quran describes the birth of Jesus as follows: (Remember) when the angels said, “O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him (God), whose name is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, revered in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (to God). He will speak to the people from his cradle and as a man, and he is of the righteous.” She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal has touched me?” He said, “So (it will be). God creates what He wills. If He decrees a thing, He says to it only, ‘Be!’ and it is.” (Quran, 3:45-47) Jesus was born miraculously by the command of God, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said: The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, “Be!” and he came into being. (Quran, 3:59) During his prophetic mission, Jesus performed many miracles. God tells us that Jesus said: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you the shape of a bird out of clay, I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God’s permission. I heal the blind from birth and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by God’s permission. And I tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses....” (Quran, 3:49) Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified. It was the plan of Jesus’ enemies to crucify him, but God saved him and raised him up to Him. And the likeness of Jesus was put over another man. Jesus’ enemies took this man and crucified him, thinking that he was Jesus. God has said: ...They said, “We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God.” They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)... (Quran, 4:157) Neither Muhammad nor Jesus came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one God, brought by earlier prophets, but rather to confirm and renew it.

I like the design but I think the gril is on backwards. Her hair is blowing into the wind and her umbrella is not being pulled by the wind it is being pushed. It just doesn't look correct and should be turned around.
This is one of the better videos on whirligig ideas. good job!

Beautiful pattern and amazing whirligig Rick, keep uploading more works. I really enjoy so much watching your videos. Kind regards from Chile
I liked your whirligig. Amazing, I use the same procedure to find the gravity center of my whirligigs (from Brazil). Good job!
Very nice whirligig.
Beautiful job , I love it whirligig toys !
Are you using a spiral blade that cuts in all directions? Thanks!

Really a nice design.. It actually looks like a Japanese Anime art style as well.
Great tip to find center of balance! Subscribed!
Very good Job !!! Have you got plans ??
I like your design, I will do this differently only because I prefer creating a unique project. Good work and I enjoyed the video.
Thank you for sharing!

Great projects
Awesome work 👌
Cool!😃
Another excellent video Rick.
Isn't this one of those designs the fan needs to be turning backwards, away from the wind?
My grandpa made these! I’d love to give it a try! Thanks!

Congratulations on building you're whirligig exactly BACKWARDS. The girl's hair is blowing forward while the wind is going the other way.
If you build one you can put the wind catcher on the front if that bothers you

the wind is coming from behind it looks like to me ,good job
good point! but a lovely idea and well made. (she needs to be facing the other way with an umbrella and the blades behind her).
Very creative, well done!

não entendi como prego ficou preso dentro do orifício pois ele cortou a lança do dele
Welcome to 50N Sub! 🌹❤✋👍
Lovely design but, the girl's hair and skirt make it look like the wind is coming from behind her. Does the toy work that way too?
Clever! But the girl should be facing the other way, umbrella downwind.
What kind of blade are you using? Your a great artist!
@Yvonne Schimmel I believe it is a spiral toothed blade on the scroll saw.
@@richardmccann4815 Richard do you have a dewalt?
@@richardmccann4815 the part that hold the blade us out of alignment and I cannot for the life of my figure out how to align it. Is a dewalt dw788
I really like this whirligig but Is it just me or is her hair blowing the wrong direction?
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Muy bonito, lo felicito. Sólo que técnicamente está al revés.a ella la arrastra el viento.
It's great!.. I made one.
