I'm loving watching your different drafts of this thing, and I'm jazzed to see both the next iteration and the final product. It was very helpful of your kitty research assistant to model what a long multi-flex-point appendage looks like for all of us, starting at 3:02.

Have you considered building up the ring walls with a hot glue gun to reinforce it and give it an organic texture like octopus body texture, but cyberpunk looking. So, when 3D modeling, pockets/channels, can printed that can be filled later with a hot glue gun.
    Love what your doing.

Barb, I didn't know you didn't have a 3D printer at home! Do you want me to hook you up?

I don't think a cylinder is the right geometric shape to imitate an octopus. Although maybe you need it to sit flat.

yeah, if this were being a more realistic thing, they would aim more downwards, but it does need to sit on my shoulder. i may change the shape a bit more before the next print
