Dear Mr Bassem. Actually, I wish to do that, but some parts of the robot, such as compressional springs and actuating units are exclusively ordered. So, now I am developing a manipulator by using widespread materials for assembling.
@@azamatyeshmukhametov3569 yo, look at my channel a few videos back, you can just 3d print the springs and string u dont need to custom order anything. u can make both kinds of spring on ur 3d printer.
@@azamatyeshmukhametov3569 if its easy, is there a place or way I can learn to do it as its definitely not easy to do research on this topic and it was amazing just to find this.
Probably gonna start doing project like this on semester break. You've inspired me
am I the only one that thought about doctor octopus's mecchanical arms seeing this? btw, good job dude! impressive
yes, this is really cool, imagine if it was all covered in a latex sleeve with scales on it and it had a little snake head thing on the end
Nice work keep going 👍🏼☺️
Super!
Did you use any software to predict end effector's position? Or finding its working space ?
The advanced knife wielding tentacle
Nice!
So you use double hinges to keep it rigid (so that it doesn't twist) ?

Key research question: springs are not designed to be operated in bending does this increase energy consumption ?
It does, but the compression spring provides hardness to the slender part. The slender part harness is crucial for the robot's accuracy.
Ist ein ganz, ganz alter Hut, aber genial.

what springs did you use for this project?
Sorry for delay, helical compressional springs made of copper with spring constant 0.8N/mm
Are you releasing the platform to open source? I'd love to make one to hold a servo skull!
interesting...
How does the tip move without moving the rest of the body, is it just spring action?
Thank you for your interest, here is the link for the paper:www.mdpi.com/2218-6581/8/3/51
Imagine what it could if it's controlled by 10 axis servo motors with professional grade motion controllers.
One hell of a chaturbate tip controlled sex toy
Hi Amamat, is there any company now making the snake arm robots? Thanks.
Hi, actually there is one company OC Robotics , but I am not sure do they sell or not
@@azamatyeshmukhametov3569 Thanks. Happ Thanksgiving.
How much longer until I can get a cybernetic tail implant?
Approximately 50 cm
Do one with air pressure, cables, and pistons?
This is wire-driven continuum robot
@@azamatyeshmukhametov3569 Make one for 80 PSI tank.
@@TheAnical Sorry, but the intended application environment of the robot is in space, so I cannot design fluid-driven (pneumo or hydro) actuated robot
Shame that's not used as fingers as well

can u tell those motor specification?
Thank you for your interest, I use bipolar stepper motor. The rated torque 0.49 N*m, any bipolar stepper motor would be fine. Just mind a right torque

Do you think it be possible to make 4 of these onto a backpack style mount to be worn while also 46 inches long and tapered to a point?
Yes, of course. Easy

I read your paper. Is the simulation code open source?
Dear Zuyang Zhou thank you for your interest. The code is not open source. Now, it is a property of Tokai University.

Is this open source broo
No. Why do you think you should get something for free?

Hi, it is very amazing work! Is there any chance to share your sources with me, please?
Dear Mattew thank you for your interest. Now I am very busy with my dissertation, but after I am planning to upload all stl files as open source.

training some big spiders or worms would be simpler, but they'll need food to operate 😃
