This Airbus MASSIVE Delivered Will Change The Aviation! Here’s Why
After a long period of struggling with the crisis, causing aircraft production to decrease due to safety factors, Boeing was officially surpassed by rival Airbus in the number of aircraft delivered in the first quarter of this year. Specifically, in the first 3 months of the year, Airbus delivered 120 aircraft, while Boeing only delivered 83 aircraft. Airbus is still taking slow but steady steps. So halfway through 2024, let's look back at Airbus's delivered aircraft orders in today's episode!
But before we start, if you're new, please help us improve this channel even further by double-checking that you've hit that subscribe button so you don’t miss our updates! Now let’s dive in!
    Aircraft delivered in 1st quarter
In the first half of 20 24, the total number of aircraft delivered is 323, 7 more aircraft than the 316 aircraft in the same period last year. And this June alone, the European manufacturer delivered 67 aircraft to airlines. Maybe this is a pretty positive number considering that in the previous May, only 53 units were delivered. However, analysts are still worried and question whether Airbus can meet the 20 24 target, even though the manufacturer has already lowered the number itself. They say the group will need to pick up the pace in the second half of the year to hit its revised target of delivering around 770 units.

The market keeps a close eye on delivery figures because this is when manufacturers earn the majority of sales and profits from sold aircraft. Many people also achieved higher targets when they no longer expected to deliver 766 units this year. A solid third quarter and an especially successful fourth quarter are all they are looking to see at Airbus although it is contrary to the usual trend that characterizes the aircraft manufacturer's business. It sounds a bit difficult but it is also completely impossible. According to analysis, Airbus deliveries are usually split 45% in the first half and 55% second half. We can look at the prospect that this number reaches about 40% in the first half and 60% in the second half of this year.

Previously in the last days of June, the giant said it would deliver fewer aircraft than planned in 20 24, due to supply chain problems. The company also announced that it will set aside a fee of 900 million euros or about 965 million USD for its satellite business. In a statement, Airbus said: "In the commercial aircraft sector, Airbus is facing persistent supply chain issues, mainly related to engines, fuselage structures and equipment in the passenger cabin.”

Airbus passed Boeing 5 years ago. And that gap is widening at an accelerating pace.
