They may not be able to prevent it but they should make sure that anyone who chooses to commit crimes will know that they will be caught and punished severely. We need more high-definition cameras and other means of catching the criminals in action.

Please get this out. For one. Jamaica doesn't have enough police station. Plus most police station isn't running 24/7. You need to open army base all over the Island. This way response time will be short. You have all these soldiers sitting at camp Its better if the had bases in the community. Criminals would think twice if they know that they are surrounded. There is a lot more to say but get this out.

Sweetheart, I am a returning resident and have been a victim of crime in Jamaica. You are asking a very good question. If you look carefully and see what is going on in our parliament you will see the unjust situations from our MP's including leader, that is where it is starting. Our society is leaden with person's who are not clean and is linked with crime in somewhere or the other, most of the time it is reprisals action we as citizens are experiencing and it will not stop. Most Jamaicans are hard working but, sadly they're many who are extremely dishonest, and linked with wrong doing somewhere or the other, so are their behavior and actions.. It appears that most people here do not know what is right and wrong.
