Tatsumaki struggling to lift Saitama isn't a weight issue, she can practically lift continents. It's a testimony to Saitama's willpower/strength, and his "indomitable spirit."
Edit: Making it clearer to understand for the people failing to see what I'm saying. This stuff is directly confirmed by ONE in the webcomic, which is where Murata draws his information. For the 1.3k of you that understood without needing to be spoonfed, y'all the real G's here.

Tatsumaki trying to reach out to Blast wasn't a memory, it was her in her mind. She's pretty much still a child at heart making a name for herself by becoming a hero in hopes she can see Blast again and ask what she pretty much was asking when she was passed out.
As others have mentioned - it's not his weight, it's the power of his psyche. Fubuki mentioned this at the start of the fight - that Tatsumaki has never fought someone with this level of willpower. Other opponents have knocked saitama around no problem - Suryiu was able to easily kick him into the air, and Carnage Cabuto bounced him around like a pinball. Physical attacks can move him, just not hurt him.

@@sonteguh Just a reminder, earlier in the fight she grabbed him and dragged him for miles when she did it by using her pschic powers to move herself instead of using it to lift Saitama directly.
Remember also, Saitama has also taken hits that would otherwise sent him flying and not moved. I fully think he let's enemies pinball him because tanking the hit might do more damage to the area. Dude is DIFFERENT

What constantly amazes me is how a manga about the most overpowered being in existence still constantly finds ways to keep things fresh and interesting. Tatsumaki's always been a fave of mine, so I really enjoyed this arc.
I can't remember if it's stated in the manga, but in the webcomic Fubuki (I think) said that psychic resistance is linked to physical resistance or the strength of will. The reason Saitama's so heavy is because his unyielding spirit, and I'm sure he could have stood still on the ground if he was serious. For Tatsumaki to be able to lift Saitama is a very impressive feat

One thing to note is that Tatsumaki was completely fine after the fight. Whereas in the webcomic, it's revealed that she had not fully recovered from her previous fight against the monsters as her forehead suddenly explodes with blood spewing everywhere.
Manga Tatsumaki was going all out against Saitama whereas Webcomic Tatsumaki didn't because of her injuries.

This was a fun and comedic mini arc… truly felt like season 1 One Punch Man. Rereading the arc as a whole was great and it flowed really well. It only felt like it dragged because we were getting chapters every 2 weeks but the arc was less than 300 pages.
We were definitely being spoiled by those long chapters during the Monster Association arc lol
Man, sometimes I can't believe that Monster Association arc got us for 7 fucking years... I think any arc that comes now will be really "short" compared to the MA arc.

I was a hardcore Saibuki shipper like him at first. But judging by Tatsumaki and Saitamas interactions throughout this whole arc, im sorry, but those two have WAAAAY better chemistry than he does with Fubuki.
Their personalities just bounce off each other perfectly. Saitama is the only other person Tatsumaki sees as an Equal, and he's probably the only man besides blast who has touched her in an affectionate way. He's the first and only person who can give her a fun time and put her in her place since she can't hurt him.
Saitama isn't dumb he is very perceptive. From his perspective, all Fubuki wants to do with him is be his boss so she can boss him around even more than she already does. Thanks to Tatsumaki, Fubuki has a warped sense of what a friend is she thinks having friends means controlling them. Which is a lesson she has probably learned in this arc.
Judging by what exactly? Saitama patting her like you do with a child, and in previously chapter calling her a pipsqeak is not leading to what you have in mind.

One Punch Man is slowly becoming one of my favorite manga’s ever and it’s my favorite to read as chapters are published. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the story and it’s taking everything in my power to not read the webcomic.

I think Blast is shaded out because it never actually happened, she just wishes that she could get his advice, help and respect but he left. Now she sees Saitama as a new Blast type role model as shown by the parrallels (the shining light off his head and the head patting) and he may teach her a better way to live her life.
I think the bit where she was still in the lab gown talking to blast represented her vulnerability as still being a child at heart and needing guidance before she saw the shiny god dome. A lot of this was extremely symbolic but also very simple.

10:00 These further interactions between Blast and Tatsumaki are probably her fears progecting these thoughts in her mind, her fears of not being able to survive. She found herself again in this position where she can't protect herself, so it means she felt she couldn't destroy Saitama. She needs to feel at the top of the food chain to feel safe.
This is also, probably, a conversation she wanted to have with Blast, since he became a mentor figure to her. She's also now feeling that Saitama may be someone she can listen to, like she would with Blast. All these answers she wants from Blast, she feels she might have with Saitama, who's a wise person.
It takes about 3.5 billion joules of energy to get a rocket in to space. To move 1lb a foot in distance, takes 1.3 joules.
(Edit) I kind of highballed it because thats assuming you are launching a rocket. It takes roughly 30-32 million joules to launch 1kg of mass in to lower earth orbit disregarding wind resistance. Assuming saitama is 80KG (about 170lbs) it would take around 1.85 billion lbs of force to propel him in to LEO (thats how much force tatsumaki is applying to him.) Since we dont know his weight or launch speed, it makes it a lot more complicated. That plus we cant tell if he is manipulating his own weight. But the amount of force Tatsumaki is using is a lot easier to calculate due to her saying "a normal person would have been launched to orbit."

It's been stated in the webcomic by Fubuki that strength of will is directly connected to psychic resistance. Due to Saitama's "thick spirit" Tatsumaki was struggling to lift him up. Not sure if they mentioned it in the manga though

Wrong she couldn't lift him because her powere are connected to her willpower and she wasted most of her energy trying to beat saitama which wasn't very effective at all and she had very little power left and she was injured because she used to much of her power deep down she knew she couldn't defeat him which affected her willpower and also limited her powers which is why she couldn't carry him because she knew it was pointless

I really enjoyed this mini arc, it made me appreciate Tatsumaki even more since she always had that mysterious part of her that we were expecting to see since she was introduced.
Remember when Geryuganshoop tried to crush Satama with a black hole attack and he was able to shrug it off. I think it is like this in that Satama is shrugging off her psychic power too

I think it is explain in the web comic that the resistance to psychic power is directly relate to one's strength of will. So Saitama isn't heavier than normal people but his willpower make him resistance to Tatsumaki's psychic power. She can't use her power directly on Saitama but if she use it to control the wind or the rock that he stands on, she would be able to blow him away even if she can't injure him.
Fubuki able to blow Saitama like ragdoll with her attack in their first encounter because she control the wind and pebble, not Saitama himself. Ofcouse Saitama is unharmed.
Also, the whole scene with Blast never happen. That is just in the mind of Tatsumaki. That is why she is still a kid in medical garment, because she is still trap in that mindset - that she is still a prisoner to Tsukiyomi. She view Blast as the only trustworthy adult in her life where everyone else is only want to use her and her power. She didn't know how to live like normal people and she want Blast to teach her like a little child looking up to their parents to protect and teach them everything they didn't know growing up. At least that is how I interpret the scene.
Right now, I think in Tatsumaki's mind - Blast is like a father figure that she yearn for because she never had any adult to look up to, even her real parents didn't protect her and every other people either fear her or want to use her power. Saitama is someone she sees as equal, someone who could be her friend and not afraid of her power nor is he want to use her, because he is so strong that he didn't fear her or need to approach her for her power. However, whether Tatsumaki's feeling to Saitama develop into romantic feeling or not is depending on One.
The battle didn't drag on too long. It just feels that way cause we gotta wait 2 weeks per chapter and then when we get it, most of it was combat. But when you re-read the entire thing or wait for the volume (now that the fight's ended), it flows well as usual. If anything, Murata could have gone another chapter of action (if he followed the webcomic), but instead they chose to change some things up, hence reducing the action but adding more character development.

We didn't see Tatsumaki's struggle against Saitama in the Managa like it was in the Webcomic
In the webcomic she makes the earth stop~ tremble for some seconds while trying to lift Saitama but here it was just flying dragging and throwing big rocks.
so it made me think, 'Damn was she really this weak ? or did they nerfed her ?' Because she obviously showed more Power and struggle against Psykos fused with Orochi.
compared to that this fight or whatever this was looked like nothing more than some excercise for her.
I would even say that this was far below my expectations and I was very hyped for it.

This fight may have seemed long but ONE and Murata always do things like this for a reason. Something in the future will probably happen that'll have us coming back to look at this fight again with a new perspective. All we can do is wait.
I think Saitama just acted tough, but he did use his strength to resist her force. As you know from the battle between him and Garou, Saitama evolves fairly quickly. He just got used to Tatsumaki's throwing and psychic lifting and started to resist her force with his brute strength.

When Tatsumaki "destroyed Saitama's house," she didn't do that. She was destroying a monster that had its roots throughout the city where Saitama's house was. That's a problem I have with the entire notion that Saitama has a grudge with Tatsumaki in the first place. She was doing what had to be done to save the world from a monster that could chop it into pieces within seconds, while Saitama was wandering around aimlessly.
You kinda took things too seriously, lol. And nobody can denies that Tatsumaki doesn't really considerate to others. That's one obvious flaw in her

@@windygrass9807 Except that she does consider others, like when she couldn't "go all out" against Psyrochi until she knew that everyone in the city (not to mention all of Class S) were out of danger before she DID "go all out". Before that, she was in personal danger while waiting to be notified that the area was clear.
Also, she was basically in the same dilemma when Fubuki had that poison capsule planted into her body. She couldn't fight until she found where the capsule was, so she was left helpless until she did so.
The person taking things too seriously is Saitama because a reasonable person wouldn't be keeping a grudge like this, especially considering "his house" (when in reality, he was a squatter in an abandoned part of the city) was wrecked like perhaps 99.9% of the rest of the entire city. Holding it against Tatsumaki is actually pretty dumb.
@@-gj3nu In the case of "Saitama's house" (where he was essentially a squatter, living in an abandoned apartment in an abandoned part of City Z), it was destroyed in the same way that practically all of City Z was destroyed, during a battle that saw a large part of the Earth's surface shaved off, causing cataclysmic damage by the monster Psyrochi. So much enormous damage was caused by this battle that it is impossible to tell who "destroyed Saitama's house." For Saitama to assume that Tatsumaki was "the cause" of its destruction is totally ridiculous.
To say that Tatsumaki's letting lose in order to battle Psyrochi is "a metaphor for her not caring about other people's feelings" would amount to saying precisely the same thing about any other Hero battling a demon/dragon-tier monster anywhere else in OPM, where enormous collateral damage was caused as a result of it.
I can see that sort of "metaphor" being used during Tatsumaki's "fight" with Saitama, but it can't be said anywhere else in OPM. Everywhere else she's doing what needs to be done to stop monsters. I challenge you to find anywhere else where she's just wrecking stuff because she doesn't care about what she's doing. Also, using an example of Tatsumaki in the OPM webcomic can't be done because she's essentially a different character from the one in the manga, and it cannot be considered canon anymore.

If we calculate the fight between tatsumaki and psychoorochi she practically twisted the whole city which nearly can be considered as trillions of tons of weight for to twist the torque can be estimated by reducing torsional constant and the force to oppose gravity nearly a 100 quadralion newton so if we divided the value by the acceleration required that can be calculated by escape velocity (11.186 km/s)
Saitama's weight comes out to be a few trillion kgs
It's less to do with Saitama's weight but his super-stubborn willpower combined with being the one-above-all making it harder to manipulate with psy powers.

I greatly preferred this version compared to the original webcomic. The original made tatsumaki seem psychopathic and conceited, but this version makes it more clear how lonely she feels and how burdensome being the strongest is on her relationships with others. I think she liked that Blast was stronger than her because she wanted a hero to rely on, but that's pretty hard when there's only one hero who can match her strength and he's absent a majority of the time; he even basically says "don't expect anyone to save you. I could, but I'll probably be busy so don't get your hopes up cause if you can't handle it then no one else can."

Saitama has to have the ability to control his density to a certain capacity to make himself more heavy. Maybe similar to Blast's ability to control gravity to create black whole singularities
