Good video on an often overlooked function of the MFD. This function is useful for TRANSCONS, TRANSPACS and TRANSLANTS where long flights are made to reposition assets, and of course cross-country training. More locally, the MC will illuminate and sound off in the carrier pattern or when engaging the shuttle for launch. There is a way to manipulate the FPAS Home number to bypass this warning. Do you know how to do that?
No, the priority is left DDI, right DDI and finally the MPCD. The warnings will only appear on a lower priority screen if the higher one is off or failed.
Since YOU taught me how to kick ass in the Harrier, I only hope that you make similar Hornet videos. I believe we need: Startup and shut down Radar air to air Data link HSI OR skip them all together and do the F-15E
Man there is so much to learn and practice in just one aircraft!
Thank's! This is very helpful.
Is this video narrated by Scott Manley? :) :) Good video!
Great stuff!

What do you mean by MC?
you can change on which screen the warnings appear on the f18?

Startup and shut down

HSI

Wait…. They are coming out with an E??
@@commanderstud2417 couple of videos from razbam already 😎 multicrew ftw
So how does head winds factor into this; for example, if you have a 30 kt headwind, would this be calculated?
I believe it's based on fuel burn so current winds is factored in by measuring in real time
Does f16 have this
Yes, the F-16 has a very similar system build into the DED called CRUISE.
What's bonus 1?
This is bonus video number one. Not a complete tutorial just a short video on a single subject.
@@deephack nice very easy to consume. Another guy does this 1 minute to
Tute and its good.
