i had my friend start teaching me recently, and after looking for just a few learning resources like half my youtube has been converted to bass, guitar, and general music stuff 😂
As a bassist of 3 years, do it. Never give up. After a few months you’ll wonder if you should quit, don’t. After a year, you’ll start to stop practicing a bit, push through. The band you will eventually join needs you.
-Generally speaking, your shipped bass will arrive in tune. -The one hundred dollar basses being made today are the best value in gear. -Thanks for including the removal of the pick guard plastic. It's very satisfying.
I purchased one of these bases when I was in a physical rehab center and did not wish to bring one of my expensive bases there. Honestly, I was quite surprised at just how good it was. It felt very comfortable to play, had an excellent true P-bass tone, and had zero fret sprout. The intonation was spot on and the string height was more than acceptable. I could see myself taking it to a gig where I didn't want to risk one of my expensive bases. There would not be any compromise in the performance or the tone.
I bought myself a Yamaha TBRX174 in metallic red as my first bass, I already play guitar and wanted a nice but cheap bass to start off. I have to say, nothing beats it for the price. I tried a couple of basses and this one stood out the most at the store, it feels great and looks amazing
Been saying recently I want to try bass. Played electic for 11-ish years and heard many good things about this one. Might go for it next time I get paid.
Yep the Cort Action Plus Bass is amazing for the price, I recently put gotoh tuning pegs and a gotoh bridge on it after 3 years of having it and its somehow even better
Your beginner bass doesn’t matter pick a bass that speaks to you than later on I got contrite with Baas and decided to get a Fender jazz and I love it to this day
I saw that Bass from 5 or more Brands by now. Got mine also as a beginner Bass. Trust me when i tell you, that you won't have much fun playing that thing after you tried something in above the 300$ range.
@@gaminglife4448 Practice with a Metronome. Correct Fingering and posture. Walk up and down the fretboard. Do Arpeggios over the circle of fourths. im a beginner- ive started taking lessons and eventually want to invest in buying an actual bass. how much do you think everything would cost? are there certain things you would reccomend ?
Hey jamie what do you think should i get an ibanez s series with hss or ibanez gio with hh i prefer playing heavy stuff i like the hh better but i dont know if i should pass on the s series for the same price
isn't that a contradiction in terms? are there any even? i would suggest down tuning a 4, to see if you carry on with it before getting a 5, i could be wrong, maybe there are budget ones too, good comment..
i play guitar and bass but want a nice bass for once, i was thinking 4, then 5, then fretless 5, but i bet fretles and 5 is always a lot eh.. and rare..
then get a mate who plays to help you get a second hand one, there not much.. if you are serious find good lessons on you tube, if you need help, ask a player which ones are good.
You unwrapped that guick. Thank you... there's a guy who always buys dimes guitars and it takes him forever to unwrap the damn thing and you never hear him play any of his collection. It's a waste at least you opened it up and played it awesome nice bass though and a Donner 💪💯🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎸🎶🔥
As someone who also started on pbass, you should get an american fender jazz bass instead, or another brands that have 24 frets like sdgr. Precision bass bad. Pbass sound if very bland and twangy. Made me unmotivated to play it.
@@svnlightt Okay so about 5'2". There is an argument to be made about using a short scale at your height, but that doesn't mean it is a rule. Long scales are much more common in the wild, so it will be easier to get your hands on strings and other equipment for long scale. If you are able to, go to a local store and sit with a bass in hand just to see how it feels. What you should look for is a bass with a thinner neck, such as a Fender Jazz or any of the hundreds of similar models. This will make it easier to get your fretting hand into position without too much extra strain, although you will still need to do hand stretching exercises to widen your reach.
