Hey man, you are the top instructor on RUclips lessons, I am a blind individual, I like the fact that you let us know what fingers go where, and you do it slowly, I like this tutorial, because you don’t only teach us one chord, but you teach us all across the Fred, board, I am subscribe to your channel and I just want to say keep doing what you’re doing and imagine that you’re giving a lesson to a blind individual and I will help a lot of us. Thank you man.
I greatly appreciate this video for the reason that I've been playing guitar for 60 years and never quite got the hang of major 7th until seeing this. I just avoided playing songs what major 7th chords. I've seen other videos about it but none has ever explained it as well as you have here. Thanks again!
Lol, I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years but I never took formal lessons or took the time to learn music theory, so this is all new to me. Thanks for this video, it's actually really easy to follow along and understand the concepts you're talking about.
Great lesson! The simple concept of using the different voicings of the barre chords to avoid occupying the same sonic space as another instrument is an eye opener for me.
Hey it’s my pleasure, I love breaking down the fundamentals! Check back, I’ll be adding how to play major, minors, dom7 and min7s across the fretboard as well!
Hey Tony, thanks so much for the positive feedback, I'm so glad you're enjoying learning these fundamentals. Many more are on the way, both here and at Patreon.com/swiftlessons. Be well! -Rob
Thanks. I just spent some of my late Saturday night/early Sunday morning watching and learning from this, and it was of course worth it. Thanks for putting up the shapes on the screen while teaching .The "first E" position mostly wasn't hard for me to finger, since I previously learned a similar chord for "Waiting in Vain".But the "second E "position will need some work out of me, especially when it comes to muting that high E string.
@@Elijahandlife the Bible was written by a reflection of the oversoul. If by god, you mean Yahweh, he died long ago. Have you never read the Bible? Do you know who commands “his children” to love him? An abusive and controlling father. Also if Yahweh (not god, god is the oversoul we all descend from in life) was Omnipotent as he claims, he wouldn’t have fucked up with Abraham and his two sons. Also he sent himself earth to sacrifice himself TO HIMSELF for sins such as “not being faithful to the provider of ones nookie”, “don’t be envious”. Really just sounds like more indoctrination techniques from those trying to keep our power as entities away from us. Good for you, you’re playing right into that. I choose not to. Also, the Bible makes it hard not to make fun of it. Do you really believe that a boat carried every single species of animal? Take some time and google just how many species existed at the time of writing. There’s no way a boat made in that time was buoyant enough. Also if Yahweh really cared about you, no matter what he says, no way would he let you burn for an eternity with no reprieve. Keep in mind mixed fabric is a sin.
Love it!!! Hopefully you can make something in beajtiful fingerstyle with hammer ons, pull offs and melodies inside and between chords 😊😊😊 your hair is now much better man... Peace
@@swiftlessons 5 months late.. are they uploaded? Can't find it on your page. BTW, I love your lessons. Simple and precise. You helped me get past my plateau and your lessons helped me understand and connect music theory concepts!
Hey, this really was helpfull! thank you :) was wondering if you have this video but for MINOR 7th chords on your youtube, cause i didnt find it. any help is appreciated
Hi sir, can I ask a question as a newbie..😅 What chord name of the chord like C#dim but on the 4th frt? I can't find it in my chord chart. Pls help me..pls. thanks.
Can you tell me what these two chords are called ? 3rd 4th 5th fret G chord with an open E string and the first three strings pressed down on the second fret.
This might be a dumb question but if you can make any major 7 chord with each position across the fret board, then why not stick with one hand position for each major chord?
i think the answer is a. they sound slightly different and b. you choose the one thats closest to the next chord, or one before that you used....i may be wrong of course but sounds logical😊

Dude, thank you for covering ALL of the voicings and not just some like most people do. That's the difference for me.
this is not all of the voicings.

Very nice lesson, appreciate it. I'm from the mid-Atlantic and recognize your accent ... a lot of people probably wouldn't pick up on it.
Another bright idea to play all of maj7 chords. You're the man. Thanks a lot.

@@betterlivingthroughdxm3854 you are totally wrong. Bible is given to us by God. And we are to live by it and not make fun of it.
