You can clearly see the shoes inability to support the arch. Having your foot on a platform isn't natural. Performance footwear is designed to work with the bodies natural ability to move. My arch isn't collapsing, the shoe is collapsing where my arch is located. Young or old -- its going to happen in this shoe.
correct me if i'm wrong but another option for this would be that nightwing pronates and the vapormax isn't meant for that..he would need something with dynamic support to fix this..thoughts?
This is a new innovation because with every previous air max models there was a foam midsole between your foot and the air but with the VaporMax there is no foam
Tinker put the window in so people could see the tech, understand it more but visibility does nothing performance wise, the air units enclosed perform way better, this is a case of form over function, I nearly fell down the stairs in these as the gap between the heel and forefoot met the step edge, these shoes make you less agile, treat your feet and try the fingertrap max amp- fantastic all round trainer, peace from the uk
The lack of a durable outsole on this and the Ultra Boost seems intentional imo. Premium ($150+) runners from Asics, Brooks, Saucony, etc don't see the early wearing that these do. Adidas probably uses continental rubber over carbon rubber because it forces buyers into early replacement. Why else would they match a long lasting Boost midsole with a flimsy outsole?
The first minute basically explains my experience with sneakerheads in general. Can't say anything remotely bad about a Jordan or they'll be coming for your life.
Hey man. I've been watching for videos for a while now and your videos are very informative. I am a heavy player, but your comments are always spot on. They have helped me avoid buying some sneakers that I would later regret. Keep up the good work. Shouts from Mexico and ... have a good one!
Nike needs to tweak Max Zoom a little more instead of working on Air Max, lets face it, Air Max is outdated. Max Zoom comfort wise can already compete against Boost IF they make it alot more durable, stable, and aesthetically pleasing.
Those look really cool, but I honestly don't notice air cushions hardly at all. I've been hooked on boost and don't ever see Nike catching up comfort wise.
I placed the insoles of my old jordan 18's and it makes the shoe ten times better - I had the same problem with my arches but the carbon fiber on the 18's really fix the issue .
Definitely agree with this video. I've never been a fan air max cushioning. Zoom Air units and lunarlon have been my preferred cushion set ups in terms of nike and i just bought a pair of ultraboost 3.0 and they immediately jumped to the top of my rotation.
I havent tried them on yet but they look super cool...sort of futuristic. I went with the air max flairs instead...and the flairs are super super comfortable, they feel like if you were wearing a sock...also the air unit is very bouncy specially at the heel section of the shoe. Super dope kick.
I can always appreciate honesty....that's why I subscribed great review I will try them out from Nike and if I don't like them I have 30 days to return THANKS for the review always.
I love ultra boost although I did like these but If you want good cushioning with stability and adequate tread on the sole, try the new Under Armour Europa. I tried those on with my ultra boost on the other foot and was thoroughly surprised.
@nightwing2303 i like nike out all of the brands but im still gonna take all opinions good or bad. You were correct in saying it is overrated with the hype they have. But i cant explain why they are
Here's some Nike names for Nike. Nike Air Zero Gravity. HoverMax. Air Bounce. BounceAir, AirSpring. Spring....Air? AirFoam (air in react foam pellets), Nike invisiAir, Air Invisible (super clear air units & sole), Nike Air Float (water in air bubbles inside), Air Cloud (connect to your Cloud), AirPillow (feathers in air units), Nike Air Soft, Air Hard, Nike Air Juice, Nike Air Memory (memory foam cushion), Air VaporZoomMax (zoom air inside 360 airmax units) lol
I know this is over a year old but I just ordered some. After doing some research it seems that heavier people might actually get more out of these then the lighter fit people because they cant compress the air pods. I will let you know when i get them since I'm on the heavier side
Very well said it's your review and you speak base on your personal opinion. We have diff taste when it comes to sneakers regardless of the attributes and factors. Most of us is bec of the brand ( swoosh 3stripes etc.) consciousness but hey we're still to support you nightwing just do what you do best. 😊
I still prefer the Earlier Air Maxes, such as the the Air Max One, Air Max 90 and Air Max 95, over the Vapor Max, cause once you step on a thumbtack, that's $190 popped. And I'm still more of an Ultraboost guy, or any Boost sneaker, so Boost is life
@@WearTesters Thanks for the response, I can deal with clacking but no squeaking for a $200 shoe or any shoe I wear for that matter. Well, Champs here I come as soon as they open today.
@nightwing2303 do you know if the vapormax is replacing the full sole air max version? Like the air max 2017? I do not see any 2018 air max being announced.
Loved the review. I want a pair but I want to try them on first. I tried on the flyknit racer and I'm a size 8.5-9.0 in low tops, but in those I went down to an 8.0 and they still seemed loose, so I passed. The upper kinda reminds me of those.
What's the best fitting shoe with durable rubber? Favorite attribute for a sneaker is it's fit and the only court available to me is outdoors any suggestions?
With these individual air units I can't help but wonder about the 160lb dude who wears the same size sneaker as a 230lbs dude. The PSI does not differ from one user to the other. Therefore the shoe probably works better for one over the other. This could have been a problem with older tech, but if anything it's probably worse now.
i wish they were able to do something more innovative/futuristic with zoom like they did with max air here (even though this is more of a wtf shoe for me). zoom is easily nike's best cushion.
I think purely from an aesthetic perspective, these bang in just about every way for me. Come end of year, the Vapormax will for sure be one of my favorite silhouette's. But for people to come out and say that it's the most comfortable shoe ever made? Are these dudes out of their mind? I wouldn't even call it opinion, boost just FACTUALLY feels nicer, and it's not even close.
Good day nightwing2303 i love most of your shoe review actually most of my shoes i love being enhance by your fair review, keep it up sir,by the i love your shirt where did get it?
i bought a 8 and 8.5 to check what fits me but the thing is the 8 fits me lengthwise but its narrow so the sole part doesnt fit my entire feet kinda feels like im stepping on a curb alittle bit but the 8.5 is about almost an inch between the distance from my toe to the top of the shoe but the sole fits me comfortably. what should i do ? do you think the sole for the sz 8 will flatten out a little more after wearing it for a while or should i wear the 8.5 thats fits my foot on the sole but is kinda big lengthwise?
I wouldn't wear these casually I will only probably wear these only working out because the speakers do look nice when you walk into the gym and you get your workout on looking fresh. Amaya gave one of the dates and night pack sneakers all of the original because the original is still sitting in my Finishline I don't know if they have my size but I'll see.
Nice review, brother. I agree regarding performance. No way I would do any legit running in those. I wouldn't even do any legit running in ultra boost as my foot goes all over the place inside of them.
Thanks for watching!!!
Hey man, I do strongly recommend the ASICS GEL Kayano 23. probably the met comfortable shoe I have ever worn
Nightwing2303 you pronate a lot you should try some nike zoom structure 20, or some brooks adrenaline gt 17.
I wear them casually they need to stop being marketed as performance.
You have to have some weight on you to feel the bounce in your steps. For big guys like me they are a dream
AWMIGHTY true that!
thats facts bruhhhh
I love how the shoe feels i just bought a pair today. I'm wearing them tomorrow and I cant wait.
Marvin Macias Just ordered a pair yesterday. Can’t wait until they get here.
It's weird how your foot collapsed inward on the treadmill. That lack of arch support is a deal breaker.
I never had it collapse during a run. He could be getting old lol

I noticed the same thing
Awesome review. Super detailed and thorough
Nice to see a more grounded review of the VaporMax! But there are actually only two air units, the forefoot and the heel.
+Chris Whtly Each forefoot unit is independent from one another.
Check out the fastpass deconstruction of the vapormax
review.fastpass.cn/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/849558-120.jpg
It's kind of like that little connection on the zoom unit of the KD9
Chris Whtly That could be due to the way they deconstructed the pair and it pulled from the plate the units are attached to. Each is separate.
Ok but you can clearly see the little tunnels in-between each forefoot bubble. I'm actually afraid those will tear like on some pairs of KD9s.
This is a new innovation because with every previous air max models there was a foam midsole between your foot and the air but with the VaporMax there is no foam
Thats like saying that if I removed one of your legs then I've just innovated your body when all I did was remove part of it.
Nightwing2303 why would they charge more money if they use less material?
Joseph Masood oooohhh burned by NightWing
Thanks for giving an actual REVIEW on the shoe and not being a damn brand jockey 🤦🏾♂️

these aren't meant for training though?

Literally the perfect review I was looking for, thanks 🙏🔥
Great point about the performance aspects and lack of medial support.

So would you recommend this shoes for work like I walk all day long would they be comfortable?
Victor Ortega yes
Nike needs to tweak Max Zoom a little more instead of working on Air Max, lets face it, Air Max is outdated. Max Zoom comfort wise can already compete against Boost IF they make it alot more durable, stable, and aesthetically pleasing.
Blazer Strike wait for zoom X
for thin runners like ultra boost and these try Spenco arc support insole insert.
I too agree the zoom all out have the best cushion in nike running lineup, highly underrated shoe
Those look really cool, but I honestly don't notice air cushions hardly at all. I've been hooked on boost and don't ever see Nike catching up comfort wise.
TheRealSkywalker11 dork boost is styrofoam and it's not cool anymore or comfortable compared to Vapormax.
LOL K
I placed the insoles of my old jordan 18's and it makes the shoe ten times better - I had the same problem with my arches but the carbon fiber on the 18's really fix the issue .
isn't that air unit going to get popped super quick?
I swear this guy needs to work at Nike..👍🏼👍🏼
Your ideas make so much sense
Definitely agree with this video. I've never been a fan air max cushioning. Zoom Air units and lunarlon have been my preferred cushion set ups in terms of nike and i just bought a pair of ultraboost 3.0 and they immediately jumped to the top of my rotation.
Love your honesty dude
Excellent video and and excellent review. This shows the importance of choosing running shoes with respect to the arch of the foot.
I watched vid this again after 6 months and I still think your cut from Dark Knight is hilarious and spot on. Cheers!
I'm pretty sure the forefoot air units are connected if u look closely
I havent tried them on yet but they look super cool...sort of futuristic. I went with the air max flairs instead...and the flairs are super super comfortable, they feel like if you were wearing a sock...also the air unit is very bouncy specially at the heel section of the shoe. Super dope kick.

Solid review buddy
pls review the vapormax cs
Have my first pair now, they feel so snug, but hearing you they will be more comfortable i doubt not returning them. I think they look stunning.
Great video always appreciate your honest opinion !!!! I personally have not grabbed a pair yet but def would just use them for casual use
I love ultra boost although I did like these but If you want good cushioning with stability and adequate tread on the sole, try the new Under Armour Europa. I tried those on with my ultra boost on the other foot and was thoroughly surprised.
My thoughts exactly. Zoom air is a much more comfy ride and not as goofy looking imo.
Hey nightwing are you guys releasing any more shooting shirts ?

thank you, very good review.
i bought them and i loveee them!!
wish they had all the airunits connected like Reebox DMX tech had...most unique comfort
I like these ! But comfort wise I have to say the Prestos are my favourite ever!
Hi are these good for squats and weight lifting in general too? Thanks
these better than asics gel quantum 360 ? nobody has a real review on those
Justin Burkart asics are hella comfortable
the asics gel quantum 360 are so great, taht asics totally discountinued them - goes to show how great they really are.
Justin Burkart cuz nobody poor enough to buy asics
Quantum 360 is wayyyy better and more comfortable

great review! I got them too and I like them... I enjoyed your review and knowledge, Thank u!
Love that shirt its dope. Are you by chance going to sneakercon on saturday? i hope youve recovered from your knee injury
How’s the sizing???
Love the look of the upper not so much the air bubbles though
I'm seriously considering getting these but have one question. Does the vapormax really squeak when you walk on them??
They don’t squeak. The clack on certain surfaces.
@@WearTesters Thanks for the response, I can deal with clacking but no squeaking for a $200 shoe or any shoe I wear for that matter. Well, Champs here I come as soon as they open today.

If you like the bounce, you could just get an Alphabounce. You can get them for $50 and it doesn't f***ing pop.
Loved the review. I want a pair but I want to try them on first. I tried on the flyknit racer and I'm a size 8.5-9.0 in low tops, but in those I went down to an 8.0 and they still seemed loose, so I passed. The upper kinda reminds me of those.

I've been wanting these but idk if I $190 want them. Nice review.
Any shoe suggestions for people with high arches?? Brand doesn't matter. Just need something I can wear for a day-to-day basis.

Hey nw, what shoes do you recommend for a pf/c? Looking for something under $110.
Can you do a top 10 Lebron shoes performance wise? Thanks!
Very thorough review. Really appreciated this. Professional.
hey nightwing, can u do review on Jordan B Fly??
the flyknit looks tight around the ankle at the top of the shoe. Does this cause rubbing and irritation?
Can they also be used for casual wear?
Enjoyed the whole video thank you for your review helped me a lot ! +1 like
If you have a wide foot should I go up half a size .. I wear a 11/5 I’ve heard these run narrow
Can you suggest a running shoe that has full length zoom? Great stuff btw.
Air zoom all out is amazingly comfortable
Nike bapormax and yeezy 350 V2 boost cream white available!
Top review bro, love your vids!
i wish they were able to do something more innovative/futuristic with zoom like they did with max air here (even though this is more of a wtf shoe for me). zoom is easily nike's best cushion.
Thanks for the review. What stores sell these?
finishline, champs in some areas and pretty much anywhere online

SCK TRNSLTR fuk boost it's overrated
Does Nike have zoom air for running shoes? If so, which one would you recommend? I personally like the lunar sole specifically the Lunar 3.
And of course... good objective review!
Yes, they have an entire line with Zoom Air. I'd go with the Pegasus. IMO it's Nike's most well-rounded runner every year.
Nightwing2303 - noted... thanks man!
Good day nightwing2303 i love most of your shoe review actually most of my shoes i love being enhance by your fair review, keep it up sir,by the i love your shirt where did get it?
Nike Vapormax all day!!! They look good and there comfortable!
jose munguia they're ugly as hell.
PAOLO11523 they look great
I agree

Nightwing2303 review the shoes of Westbrook, it will release tomorrow
thanks for video! glad I'm not wasting 190 on them!!
Airmax Plus, KD9, Jordan Horizon, and Foams are more comfortable...but the vapormax looks dope, feel good underfoot!
I wouldn't wear these casually I will only probably wear these only working out because the speakers do look nice when you walk into the gym and you get your workout on looking fresh. Nice review, brother. I agree regarding performance. No way I would do any legit running in those. I wouldn't even do any legit running in ultra boost as my foot goes all over the place inside of them.
Quick question, do you think the bubble would pop when I'm running and I happen to step on a nail or something?
Miranda S yes
Meu sonho é descobrir uma maneira de trazer para o Brasil e revender aqui.
to me the Best Air Max was the 360, it was like a wave of air.
Miguel Chavez Air max 360 2006 and 2007...some of the best shoes ever made.
Any squeaking? I just order the asphalt colorway and if the squeak to loud I'm returning them.
They make weird sounds on certain surfaces, but so do my UltraBoost and Yeezy's so I don't really care. Its strange at first but its easy to ignore.
Ok thanks hopefully they aren't to bad
vkent32 did you returned them? How did they sound?
that picture from 3:18... i need that on my wall... can someone link me?
I love the look of these ...i went to buy them and they was sold out , since i wanna be original i decided on a jordan
If this shoe had the LeBron 10s coushine then it will be counfy
So that's been said lets get a like right into it
Good video night!!!
Honestly it is comther bull but uneven ground hurts feet like in pe I run on grass and contreat
Boost all day.
PG1 or Zoom Live 2017??
Kd might be a snake , but the kd 10's are very tight fitting
Keeping it real 24/7
I got a pair this week. Definitely underwhelming. I want to see how the Vaporfly feels when it drops.
