I love that when Gary asks Sam if she's noticed anything strange about the twins, the shot is framed so both he and she are being duplicated by the mirror in the background. This movie is filled with so much clever camera work.
Does anyone know how they would’ve got the shot at 1:39? The mirror is in the background yet not the camera or the cinematographer are in view, seems impressive to me.
It's as simple as putting the gradient over the shot in post, adding a tiny bit of film grain and motion-tracking it in place, possibly masking out the actors (or chroma-keying them out) if it makes the job easier. You can do something like that in Adobe After effects in a very short amount of time. I'd say chroma-keying out the actors is likely since the reflected wall is blue and none of the actors are wearing any blue in the shot.
It was visually appealing to the preteens and teens alike for the lovely fight scenes, now you can enjoy the jokes, this movie just keeps on giving, like all the good ones
I love the versatility of Rosamund Pike. She's a warrior, a scientist, a bad guy, a leader, a comedian, an intelligence agent. I swear she can do anything.
Have the camera peaking through a hole in the wall so in the reflection you only have the camera lense to edit out instead of an entire camera operator
Wear your love like heaven plays in the background, which includes the line 'be my lucky number seven, seven, seven, seven' They're in the seventh pub of the crawl
He, she, they isn't all that confusing, especially if someone you know has pronouns different from what they're born as and tell you as such. It's just that there's a lot of shitheads who would rather be shitheads than show a modicum of respect for other people.

1:57 one of the most under acknowledged best comedic acting moments of all time. Simon Pegg deserves more love than he gets
"Right well I did, once. but I was waisted, which was creepy 'cause it was like there was four of them! I’m not proud of it-I am a bit!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"I'm not proud of it... I am a bit"
Yeah every group of British mates has one of them 😂
One of them? Or one of _them?_
@@halfaworldaway Definetly one of them
the whole argument about pronouns had me in tears
'i don't even know what pronoun is 'gets me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Colt Wolf You just used one
@Colt Wolf Yeah, it is a pronoun
@Colt Wolf *"it"!*

zachanikwano agreed
Oliver: Maybe they have selective Memories.
King: Yeah, like..whats his name...ME!
😅 Had me in Tears 😂
I love how they did this entire mirror reflection effect for a simple dialogue moment
0:56, he should've said "The Shining Twins are defiantly blanks!"
oh that is bril-li-IANT!!
Definitely*

Jude Diggens same here. I was thinking maybe they digitally removed the camera? Not hard seen as it’s just a blue wall?
Domonero7 Ah that’s clever. Cheers!
Jude Diggens Green paint?
Digitally removed

“Yeah, like what’s-his-name… me!”
"Maybe he's one of the others like the reverant."
It's funny how they were thinking of what to call the robots, and stuck with Blanks. Lol
I love how we see two of Gary and Sam when they're talking about the two twins in front of the mirror in the disabled toilet...
I love seeing all the spaced actors in the corneto trilogy Simon Pegg, Jessica hynes, nick frost, Jim from Friday night dinner and tyres
Weird you named them as actors, then went with "Jim from Friday Night Dinner" instead of "Mark Heap"
0:38 When you spend more than five minutes on Tumblr
Amazing
I got a capital one ad about five time national average during this comment reading
@@FakeOutReads surprised seeing you here
😂😂😂
I can't believe I watched this when I was 10 years old when I don't understand any of the jokes. Now I think this is really funny a few years later:
JB's Reviews Completely same

C L Very True. Edger Wright’s direction is amazing

"I'm not proud of it.....😁I'm a bit. "
I would be too.

Rosamund pike is so beautiful
I love the versatility of Rosamund Pike. She's a warrior, a scientist, a bad guy, a leader, a comedian, an intelligence agent. I swear she can do anything.
0:12 - 0:14 I love how Gary forgets the fact that the bartender remembers him for a split second
...that's Gary forgetting that HE is the person with a selective memory. Gary forgot his own name, basically.
0:32 I don't care if she's a robot.
1:39 am i the only one who are really impressed by how they filmed that. I really want to know how they did that.
They just painted out the camera people digitally.
With a....camera.
I've always low-key had a crush on Rosamund Pike, ever since Die Another Day.
Watching this scene again after finally seeing Spaced...
Wait, Brian’s the bartender?!
Follow-Up: Marsha, Tyres and Dexter all pop up throughout the film, too 😄
'Hello all'
2:05 Gary gets slapped once again.
Wait wasn’t oliver already a blank by this part of the movie
yes, but they don't realise it until later on :) plus you can see he has the scar on his head (look on the right)
What happened to the real Oliver?
@@InfamousWolf89 he was replaced with a blank.
@@InfamousWolf89 the scene with the reverend green you see a group of blanks go into the bathroom after Oliver.
+HonestCriminal No.
'ffs harry, take a hint' might be the best line in modern uk cinema
C L he’s called Gary
My friends look at me like I'm stupid when I saythis movie is really good, like, in every way
1:38 look at the mirror. How did they do that??
they must have filmed the scene twice with a different background and edited on take into the mirror
Green screen?
Have the camera peaking through a hole in the wall so in the reflection you only have the camera lense to edit out instead of an entire camera operator
OK, yes. I did it once, but I was wasted.
And it was creepy cause there was four of them.
I'm not proud of that.
I am a bit
😂😂😂😂
So thats why Jim is so weird in Friday night dinner
Ah of course, one of them or one of theeeeeem
Easily distinguishable
Wear your love like heaven plays in the background, which includes the line 'be my lucky number seven, seven, seven, seven' They're in the seventh pub of the crawl
Jim was a barman?
Wonder if Wilson is a blank?

Best 1 of the three
Здравствуйте подскажите фильм как называется
the world's end
Армагеддец
How was Oliver replaced by a blank tho?
When he went to the bathroom in the trusty servant.
attckonutube took his DNA and recycled him mulched him up and turned him into plant seeds for the compost
You can see his birthmark again in this clip a few times when the camera goes to him
10 years later and pronouns are still indeed really confusing
I don't even know what a pronoun is. 🥴
I like how the first minute of this clip is basically the whole dilenma of sexuality of this generation
“I think the pronouns are really confusing.”
2021: buckle up
He, she, they isn't all that confusing, especially if someone you know has pronouns different from what they're born as and tell you as such. It's just that there's a lot of shitheads who would rather be shitheads than show a modicum of respect for other people.
