    How tight did you have the BOV wound?

    Hi, is this the shortie dual port one or the vr2 Bov?

    I was always lead to believe these had to be mapped in.
    I know it's an old post but can the op state exactly which valve you used please.

      I had the turbosmart mechanical (not the electric) bov.

    It’s have been easier if you’d jacked it up on stands and pull the right front tire.

    Is there actually any performance enhancement out of fitting of of these

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  3 года назад

      I highly doubt it. Might hold boost a little longer. However if your looking for performance there are better options such as gfb

    You still happy with this, would you recommend it?

    • @CarRambles

      Yep still working perfectly, occasionally I wonder about a quieter one but nothing can beat the loudness when your putting your foot down. Sounds awesome.

    I recently purchase a Turbosmart Kompact and I noticed you have option for softer and harder option. I believe this is suppose be 50/50 how do I get it to correct option as previous owner did adjust it a lot. and can I use it without the actual plug blank off

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  4 года назад

      You can't use it without the plug blank off. It'll put your car straight into limp mode.
      Secondly somewhere in the middle will be fine, it's not hard to do :)
      To my knowledge they should all come with the plug blank off.....

      @dsnyders84 4 года назад

      @@CarRambles yeah bought it second hand somehow somewhere it got lost and previous owner claims he used it without plug. I been looking around for one but no luck even a universal one.

      @@dsnyders84 if I seriously is the mechanical dual port like I had it 100% needs a plug.

      Lol you need a turbo car to run a blow off valve.

      @@thecryptooffice2792 The base fiesta is still a 1.0L Ecoboost turbo...so yes it would still work, just not this model

    How loud would you say this is mate? A bit too loud ? & do you know any option for a quieter one ?

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  5 лет назад +2

      Definitely a bit too loud but I love it regardless. I switched to gfb and switched back within 5 miles purely for sound. I don't think there really is a middle sounding one :/ I may be wrong but haven't heard of one... Maybe get a plumb back instead of a dual port?

    • @jakeedwards6505
      @jakeedwards6505 5 лет назад

      Car Rambles okay mate cheers. What was the difference with the gfb?

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  5 лет назад +1

      @@jakeedwards6505 main difference was noise. Gfb sounds like a slightly louder stock and I mean very slightly louder ..... If at all...
      I would say gfb is built better and more robust. It has physics on its side..... As long as either of them are maintained though you won't have problems.

      Car Rambles thanks for you help mate! I do like the sound of yours but just a bit too loud for me. I think I’ll go for the plumb back. Thanks!!
