Old video I no, but thanks, my. Wife wants me to fit one, was yours a duel port. You’re video is the only one that shows the proper vacuum line to use. Thanks young fella
Just got a 1L eco boost and I’ve always loved this noise, I have a standard engine atm nothing changed in it if I was to just put this in would it still make that noise or do I need any other modifications aswell??
Now then Sam.. What did you do with the oem vac line once you changed for the new one?? No one says where it connects to or can you just leave it off??
Hi, just about to do this to my MK8. Sam, where you have cut the emissions hardline & inserted the T-piece, Turbosmart have instructed to make the cut at the other end of the PVC fitting (where the green connector goes into the centre intake pipe) Any thoughts on this? thanks mate, Iain. :)
How is your boost gauge connected? In the previous video you connected the boost gauge to the old dump valve vac line, but now it’s been replaced with the turbo smart line so how is your boost gauge connected?
hi I have a question, it's been a year since I installed the turbosmart kompact dual port 50/50 valve but Im not able to bypass the solenoid. if I install the T where the instruction manual says to take the vacuum source, the blow-off valve does not open at all. if instead I use the vacuum OEM source the valve opens and works correctly. does anyone know the way to bypass the solenoid on the st line mk8 engine? perhaps I need to take the vacuum source from another point (i dont know where) and not as the assembly instructions refer to the fiesta mk7 engine say. I contacted turbosmart support but they didn't help me.
How do you run the 2nd vac line ? Does it come with the t piece and instructions on if he be we everything is clear but I’m only confused about the vac line thingy
Hey mate! i have the same valve on my fiesta, but can this valve twist? I mean you can give more lose and tight? Cause i think mine is very tight. Great video!
Is it worth doing is there any performance increase iv just Remapped my MOBILITY 🤣 2019 ST LINE-X but don't know if its worth it or if I can getta away with it
Hello mate any ideas on this , I’ve got the mk8 1.0 ecoboost and I can’t seem to find the recirc valve available only the dual port and plumb back , I’m guessing as long as it says “1.0 ecoboost” it’ll fit as the engine should all be the same as yours. Did you have to tension the spring as well ? Heard people having problems with boost when the spring is too loose or too tight. Sorry to bother you with the questions hahah , cheers
Hi mate, I honestly can’t remember, this is my most asked questions on this topic and due to the video being made years ago I genuinely cannot remember, this is the one thing I wish I focused on more in the video, apologies I couldn’t help
Was the valve working well on your first attempt ? Well my question is because I am looking for a better recirculation valve than the crappy original one (mine is broken) and I don't need the turbo flutter.
I have installed this valve and it is working w/o any additional changes. But no Turbo Flutter sound. However it works perfectly. ruclips.net/video/tl8WzRgbIyg/видео.html
@@alejandrolizana8132 Mate you need to put the new vac line! People ignore this and is the most important part of the installation, the new vac line is also wider to hold more aire inside than the stock one, you dont hear any flutter cause of that, the valve is not working as it should be. Inside of the box you will find a 6mm cap that you will need it to block the stock vac line, so you can take the new one. you will notice a big difference.
I’m being told just to unplug the line from the factory recirc and plug it in but I have been given a hose and tee piece and everything to splice it in what do I do
The instructions for the dual port BOV state to use the line behind the one he has done, (i.e. behind the throttle body). Not sure what they say for the recirculation BOV. I actually used the oem line for my dual port and it works as intended.
it does give flutter. if you just want flutter, buy a vac line off eBay and run it from a different part of your boost lines. I ran mine from the top left pipe in the engine bay located near the bend from the hard induction pipe to the secondary induction pipe. then just connect the new vac line to your original record valve and you'll get as much flutter without wasting money
@@jordxn2134 The stock vac line you need it to block with the 6mm blank that comes with the valve. Then cut the vac line where he did, put the T piece, connect the new vac line from the T piece to the new valve, and its done.
Turbo flutter is actually harming your turbo as the recirculated air is slowing down the turbo blades rpm. Yes it sound good but gonna cost in the long run of a new turbo and labour fitting it. Better off blowing to atmosphere or 50/50
From my memory I clamped it with a cable tie but this can damage your turbo if you get too much back pressure to your turbo. This was a long time ago mate so I don’t really remember. I wish I could help you further
Boyyyy you need some mounts!

I’ve heard you can do it stock mate
Will help if u fit a induction kit along with it
Got it stock on mine 1litre red edition
Just get an induction kit it will make the sound not as much as this but still noticeable
Now then Sam.. What did you do with the oem vac line once you changed for the new one?? No one says where it connects to or can you just leave it off??
That is what I have been trying to work out 😅

Would this make any difference without the hose, I’m not trying to cut thru other hoses just to get the flutter sound
How is your boost gauge connected? In the previous video you connected the boost gauge to the old dump valve vac line, but now it’s been replaced with the turbo smart line so how is your boost gauge connected?
Do you cut the vac line just enough to slide the T piece in or in half completely and slot both sides onto the T piece?

this one doesnt twist

whats going on with you hood and how it lines up near the windsheild? also you might want better engine mounts lol.
What did you do with the old silicon hose
How / where did you cut into the vac line for the tee?
Where does the old vac line go ?
Pretty sure you just plug it up with the plug that comes in the kit

you blank it off with a plastic blank which should come with the kit
