    We fitted this Turbosmart Dual Port Blow-Off Valve to this customer's Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost and we love how it sounds. So much so that we filmed it to show you guys.
    The Dual Port Blow-Off Valve replaces the stock BOV which helps regulate the flow of boost. when you are accelerating the engine demands an increase in boost which once you let off the accelerator needs to escape. It does so through the BOV. Upgrading your BOV allows you to hear that gorgeous whistle from the turbo, making it sound even sportier!

    Very nice flutter sound like old school group b rally cars. What is the other modififations on that car? There is nice spool sound from very tiny turbo also

    Is it supposed to flutter like that? BOV should prevent that kind of sound / compressor surge. I have the same BOV installed and I am getting flutter at the maximum soft setting......

      This is not a fully recirculating diverter valve. It is a Dual Port Blow Off(diverter) valve, that means that 50% of the air recirculates and the other 50% goes to atmosphere, making that flutter. It is intentional, turbosmart also has a fully recirculating one if you would prefer that. I think that the dual port is made to intentionally make this sound, there is no other reason not to recirculate all the air, some people just like the sound it makes, myself included!

    How do you get the chatter from the dual port instead of a normal dump valve sound. Seen the same valve making two different sounds in different videos. Must be something to do with set up?

    I installed mine last week and got it 2 turns from fully hard, but I'm only getting flutter, it was a pain getting it in, i know that it may be set too hard. How many complete turns from hard to soft? And which way do i turn it to get the "pssssh" sound instead of flutter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    • @elfie90
      @elfie90 2 года назад

      Nah. No matter how much i turned it to the soft position still just flutter. I suspect the spring that i got with it to start with was too tight and there was nothing that i could do to get it to work. Either that or the 1.0 wasn't creating enough boost pressure to open the valve.

    • @sl-fu3uh
      @sl-fu3uh 2 года назад +1

      It won't whoosh because it's a recirc valve its the turbo making the flutter the valve just directs air you won't get the noise you need a valve which let's air into the atmosphere not a recirc those valves are less efficient

    Whats the pipe and T piece for? Is this not a direct replacement for the factory fitted plastic valve on the ecoboost? There fore the vacuum pipe shouldnt have to be adapted or cut? I had an issue with a forge BOV which kept putting the car into lymph mode due to pressure changes. Dont want to cut anymore pipes but still want a BOV sound. Surely you just unbolt and take the pipe off the factory one and re bolt and attach the same pipe to this one? Please help and advise.

      Leigh Bosson Same problem here in Finland! Planing to order this bov with gauge and t-boostscrew to add some boost to my little fiasco. Can't really figure out why i should cut the pipes and add the t-piece cos theres already vacuum line for oem diverter valve. And if that cant be used, turbosmarts manual won't mention what to do with it. just put blank plug there or what?

    • @leighb5012
      @leighb5012 7 лет назад

      Niko Kupari - I emailed turbo smart in australia and said about that and they replied - the t piece is there as is designed by the engineering team, it picks up off a priority point for manifold vacuum signal, the line going to the BOV does not give a priority signal to the BOV and thus the performance of our BOV relies on a priority signal for it to work the best.
      This then says to me it should work just with the normal pipe but not as loud as if the t piece was installed.
      What fiesta do you have?

    • @Kupanik
      @Kupanik 7 лет назад

      Leigh Bosson - i think i just put it to original hose if the sound is only benefit. Or buy also their st fiesta b.r.a. connector to hook up the boost gauge aswell straight to manifold. I have 100ps titanium -start/stop -2014

    Does the dual port bovs makes the engine going to limp mode..? As not recirculate 100% of the air.. im in doubt.

    • @patirckpj
      @patirckpj 3 года назад

      Hm, i don't know what you mean by 'limp mode' i am assuming that you are referring to some of the issues that may be caused by blowing off boost to the atmosphere. Well the thing is that this blow off valve is located past the intake air sensor which tells the engine how much fuel to inject into the cilinder, relative to the amount of air, if you dump some of that air after the engine has made the reading it may also inject fuel for that specific amount of air that was lost, maing the engine run rich. In theory this may cause some minor problems like backfire or some idling issues, but the truth is that the blow off valve only dumps air when you shift gears and even though it may run rich in that time period, it will only do so for a small amount of time, thus it doesnt really present THAT much of an issue. The advantage of the dual port blow off valve is that they do not dump 100% of the air, but only 50, thus minimizing the risks. You can also adjust how much of the air is being recirculated.

    • @patirckpj
      @patirckpj 3 года назад

      Short answer - it wont make your engine go to limp mode dude, its fine
