This totally brought me to tears. As I was so picked on in school for my physical issues of scoliosis and two different size legs in middle school. I received surgery on my leg that kept me in a wheelchair for three months. The pain and suffering I went through so hard Fred Rogers and friends was one of the only people that could cheer me up
This released in May but I’m just coming across it now. I just drove from Atlanta to Detroit to see Steve Hartman, another excellent example of pure kindness who was inspired by Mr. Rogers and Charles Kuralt, a CBS News correspondent. He ended up taking on Kuralt’s On the Road segment as I’m sure most kindness enthusiasts know. I’m also a sophomore in college, so I can relate to being a young adult and looking up to such great role models like Mr. Rogers and Steve Hartman. I didn’t get to meet him, since he was just giving a talk to a big audience, but I’m still so happy I got to see him in-person. I’ll meet him and share my story one of these days. 🤞
🤧 What a beautiful story! Mister Rogers was and continues to spread the magic of love and friendship. We were so, so fortunate to grow up with this show. Angel on earth for all the healing he brought to children. Never be another like him. RIP Mister Rogers. A life well lived with a legacy no one will ever come close to. 🕊️🕊️🙏🙏💐💐🤗🤗💘💘
Mister Rogers is a national treasure.
