It's hard though isn't it? I find his wisdom so genuine compared to most of the books I read on love and compassion. You can tell he actually believes what he teaches and that's so incredibly rare in the world of kindness.
@ Jo Cole Thank you for bringing attention to His Intentionallity... It's So... So... Easy to feel flooded with Hurt, Hate, and Confusion... ... @@chelseasmith4753 thank you for this, too. Love and peace back. We must all find some love for one another. Even a stranger we have never met, or may never meet! God bless
Fred was full of great quotes. You know I heard a great line recently from the ‘I was almost a school shooter’ guy, he was talking from his experience, “the people you think deserve love the least are the ones who need it the most”. It fits with Fred’s quote.
I would replace forgiveness with COMPASSION as it is far more beautiful 🙏🏽 In forgiveness we put ourselves on a higher pedestal by forgiving the other. Besides when we forgive it is consciously and the subconscious retains the hurt we were subjected to. ( the subconscious is 9 times the Concious ) Through COMPASSION we never condemn the person, however his acts are condemned. The act and the actor is not the same.
When I was a kid I had no friends because I was handicapped and I was bullied a lot. I could not wait to get home because I knew even though I didn’t know him I feel like he was a old friend that was always there for me. I cried when he passed because I felt I lost someone I considered my best friend. He had a impact on my my life I will never forget.
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yolk upon you and learn from me, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yolk is easy and my burden is light" Jesus :)
junior high/middle school is when that sort of stuff is at its worst. Kids are ruthless in their preteens. I was never handicapped but I was bullied for a couple years, pretty much to the point where I had to leave the school. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been for you. I hope your young adult/adult life was better.
Mr. Rogers actually said that whenever he looked into the camera, he would imagine one child. He would accept each child as an individual. He gave joy to so many
"I'm very concerned that our society is much more interesting in information, rather than wonder. In noise, rather than silence." Absolutely beautiful... and how to deal with that in roles in the media.
He thought the world was noisy back then imagine how noisy he would think the modern world is with online Gaming, louder music, bitter politics, constant online streaming, social media etc
Jennifer C ...And yet, in so many ways, he already was. No matter what the children viewing his program had going on in their lives, they knew that they could turn to him for love, support, and gentle talk of tough topics that many "grown-ups" have always been afraid to address at all. They could watch him talking with other children -- children just like them -- and know that they're not alone. And that, so importantly, what they feel is actually normal. We could watch his program feeling safe in his wisdom and song, and could trust that he was honest, loving, and truly genuine, without judgment or shame (just the opposite)... even if, for too many children, he was the only one in their world who was. Not a warrior, not a king, not a rock star. These are not great! Fred Rogers was a great man, truly the epitome of "heart and soul", love and empathy and understanding. Humanity lost a piece of its soul when Fred Rogers passed away. But his memory remains, and I hope it continues until we as a species are long gone.
i watch videos still to this day at 31 while im struggling with borderline personality disorder. and his words and emotion hits me on an emotional level that helps me. he never cared who anyone was, he just wanted to be your neighbor.
@@lutesjay More than that he was a messenger of God and helped millions of children of all ages. However now people would think that he wouldn,t fit in anymore to this evil and politically correct world that stinks now. This awful thinking we have now must stop before it,s too late !!!!!
We're all crying. And that is okay. Mister Rogers would be happy to see us sharing our feelings with each other, as well as our feelings for him. Here, in this place at this time, we are all neighbors ^_^
There is nothing embarrassing or unmanly about honestly expressing one's feelings. Sometimes people think that they have to be tough, and there's nothing really wrong with being tough, but you don't have to be tough all the time, only when toughness is called for. If only people were more open about their emotions and didn't try to hide them away, the world would assuredly be a better place.
7:46 notice how he had no hesitation to climb right up on that stage and hug his old friend. he feels so much more genuine than most of hollywood. he doesn't care what the others might think of him. he seemed genuinely happy and surprised to see jeffrey
I only started watching Mr Roger's show recently, and honestly, the first time I heard him say, "There's no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are," I burst out crying. I'm 31 years old and I've spent most of my life feeling like a walking abortion. Hearing someone say that I was really wanted in this world; that I was likable, has made so much difference to me, even under lockdown. I really think people can learn so much from his emotional intelligence and if it were up to me, everyone in the world would watch his show.
keep being yourself and i promise you it is the most freeing thing in the world. you owe to yourself to be yourself always remain truthful and honest. as long as you do that, however hard it might be sometimes, you will be happy and succeed in anything you do. I love you!
Adam Crawford .... I did make a joke about not crying when I very obviously I am, but I would kind of ruin the point of Mr. Rogers whole freaking career
@@bigwillietheb thank you sir, I was raised Church of Christ for the first 19 years of my life. When I was 20, I read the bible from cover to cover. Hope everyone is doing well this evening
This comment thread is so wonderful. Christians and atheists just accepting each other but saying that they're loved, despite their beliefs. I haven't seen this on the internet in months.
Ohhh how this man bring back so many memories. As a little girl who stayed in the hospital for congenital heart disease, Mr. Rogers, his friends,Big Bird and his friends kept me company many days. I remember turning them on instantly forgetting about the tubes, monitors, and needles. Those characters are still very dear to me. As an adult, I’ll still turn on WTTW when hospitalize for frequent pacemaker changes to find that sense of comfort I received as a kid.
I am an alcoholic and a nine year veteran of the Marine Corps... And there is no man I would rather be like than Mr. Rogers. There would be no war if we were like him.
Thank you for your service. I had a 15 year struggle with alcohol myself and i´m sober now for 15 months. One day at a time, friend. Best wishes and best of luck.
Remember you are special. Not because of anything you've done because you don't need to have done anything to be special, no you are special because you are you, and there is only one you in this whole wide world.
I never watched Mr. Rogers when I was a kid, but recently I’ve gone through a very hard time. I realized just how horribly abused and neglected I was as a child. The realization was awful, it was more pain than I could have ever imagined, and this lead to me some of his shows. The first one I watched, Daniel Tiger sang about feeling like a mistake and it felt like all those years finally came crashing down and I just sobbed as I continued to watch, feeling more seen or heard than I have in all 17 years. I feel truly appreciated by this man, despite the fact he’s gone. I feel more love from him than my parents could ever give. Feeling truly loved and appreciated after feeling like a worthless monster, rejected by the two people who are supposed to love you the most is easily one of the purest, most raw emotion I could ever feel. Thank you, Mr. Rogers. I’ll carry this feeling with me forever.
The way he takes his time while speaking is wonderful. I have ADHD, and usually I go crazy trying to listen to people talk slowly, but with Mr. Rogers I can listen and take in every word. He truly was an angel.
I've got ADD and it's hard for me to keep my attention on a lot of videos on here and I'll go to the next one before one is over, but I always watch the whole video when he is in the video. So I know what you mean 😊
I have Asperger’s, and I can’t talk all that great. My mouth never agrees with my brain. I find it so nice that people can talk so easily, like Mr. Rogers. At this point, it’s more of an annoyance when I mess up when speaking, but I truly do love that people can do things I can’t, and I don’t know the reason, it just makes me happy.
"Best of"? No need for such a title. Every moment of his life, he graced the Earth like a miracle worker and died knowing he did his job to several generations of children.
The genuine joy on his face when he see Jeffrey Ehrlinger all grown up is just everything. There's no artifice to him, just this sincere outpouring of compassion and empathy for everyone he meets. It's also wonderful the way he stays kneeling, he never stands over Jeffrey but stays down at his level and looks up to him. Just too pure for this world.
@@carybeweary7209 Because people almost never tell you that, and the media always tries to convince you to be someone else and that you're not good enough. It brings tears to my eyes every time. It's the most selfless unconditional love there is.
Maybe, just maybe, in 2021, instead of showing 8 o'clock news, all TV stations should air episodes of Mr. Rogers. Kindness, empathy and forgiveness are the other vaccines we are so desperatley in need of right now.
There's so so much more truth and kindness in a single episode of Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood than a year of any news program. I think you're on to something amazing!
@@SRP3572 I’m so happy you mentioned this. I didn’t realize we could buy episodes! My daughter just turned 18. I’d love for her & my future grandchildren to grow up watching 😊
I’ve only known him for 18 years (I started watching his show when I was 2 and I never got to really revisit it, as he went off the air around the time my interest shifted.) he will always make me feel the full range of emotion. Because just once, I wish the world would have taken his perspective and ran with it. The fact that there is a movie about his life coming up is amazing.
Many people have made jokes out of Mr Rogers’s career, but at the end of day, Mr Rogers has made an impact that the majority of us will never make. From what we know, Fred was the epitome of what a man should strive to be like, he was selfless and strived to make the impact he made on us all
I used to make jokes about him when I was a teenager. I don’t know why, probably because he hosted a children’s show and I was separating myself from that. But now I watch clips of him on RUclips and cry because he was so special and I don’t know how I could have said anything mean about him.
My friends lived in a condo in Delaware just south of PA in the early 80's. We were young, hung over, dead heads in tie dyed t-shirts that smelled like beer and cigarettes and stuff... We knew that Mr. Rogers also lived in the condo. We were going out early one morning to buy some smokes, and then Mr. Rogers got on the elevator and said, "Hi kids. It's a nice day, isn't it?" We looked at each other through our blood shot eyes and all we could say is "Yes, Mr.Rogers!" "Have a nice day." He said. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! HE NEVER JUDGED US AT ALL! He was really, really that cool!

He did not deserve to pass away from cancer. He was an amazing man. Thank you Mr. Rogers for making my childhood a memorable one.

Thankfully, I grew up with Mr. Rogers (I'm 41 now). I didn't know at the time, but my mom hated him and she tried to skipped him on TV to watch something else. I would protest until the show was on. I'm now doing my part to introduce him to my friend's kids and cousins who only watch what's popular.
Today the shows are so flashy. He just comes and calmly speaks. His voice and manor on this show is the same on his television show. He had this way of quietly keeping us interested. Quietly getting our attention. Kids need someone like this so badly. These kids need a mr Rodgers to tell them they are liked for who they are and that all across the world we are neighbors.
My husband was a hyperactive kid who, in this day and age, would be put on meds. Back in the day he would just run around, always on the move. His Mum told me the only time he was still was when Mr. Rogers was on. He'd sit quietly and watch him for that half an hour. Then he'd get up and be frenetic for the rest of the day. =) Grew up to be one of the most awesome men I've ever known.

When they brought out Erlinger at the award show and he expressed his gratitude to Mr. Rogers, THAT was when it did me in. After all those years, reaching all those kids, no matter what color, shape or what, having one of them come back and say to you "It's you I like." must have been among the very highest points of all of Fred Rogers' entire life. You can tell too. He's normally so in control and thoughtful in his actions. But as soon as that little kid in the fancy chair wheeled out as a full grown man, he lept from his seat with excitement. God love you, Mr. Rogers.
that's what made it so beautiful, I think a lot of people in similar circumstances because of decorum might stay in their seat and wait until he had made a speech before going up. Mr Rogers just reacted straight from the heart and the genuine joy in his face...
I broke down at that point, too. What a wonderful moment! I wish I could have met Mr. Rogers, but I realize now there are millions of people just like me who wish the same. There's no way he could have met all of us in one lifetime.
At 01:06 the Senator’s tone says: “Yup. Here comes another entitled celebrity asshole who’s gonna give me a song and a dance. Go ahead; I’m hardly listening.” At 02:22 his tone says: “This guy isn’t an actor. This is who he really is in real life. He’s actually genuine. He actually cares.” It’s very difficult to bullshit a hard-bitten New England Italian. Mr. Rogers disarmed his cynical attitude in just under three minutes of sincerity. Goosebumps.
You could not be more off base here. Mr. Pastore was always going to award the grant. You should do more research into this hearing. And perhaps see the entire video from which this clip was taken. It’s humor. Old humor. You can’t look at it through the lens of today…
I'm devastated I'll never get a chance to shake this mans hand. With the power of language, it's almost impossible to describe how wonderful this man was.
It may be bittersweet to say, but it is worth noting - if you were to have met him, he would have given you so much time and attention, he would have made you feel like you were the most important person in his life at that time. And that is one of the greatest things about him. When speaking to someone, that person WAS the most important thing in his life, as everyone was worth his time, his attention, and all the love he had to give. And he never really asked for anything in return, did he?
I want to be like him so bad. I want to listen to the person talking to me, really listen and receive what they have to say. I want to be kind, patient.
Such a wonderful, beautiful man. I know parents say "don't imitate what you see on tv" or "Don't try this at home" but Mr. Rogers was the exception. I think if we tried to be just even a bit more like Mr. Rogers. we'd be able to understand and love each other better. If there is a heaven. I can't imagine it existing without Fred Rogers. He was a true light on this earth and we were lucky to share it with him for even a brief period of time.
i used to pretend Mr. Rogers was my dad and that he was always there for me. i still cry watching these videos and i believe in my heart he is my dad-somehow in my heart ❤️
I stayed with the Erlanger's (the parents of the boy in the wheelchair) during a youth retreat in high school, about 10 years ago. They were so appreciative of the time and spotlight Mr. Rogers gave him. Jeff passed in 2007, but his parents spent our whole visit gushing about Fred's acts of love toward him. RIP to both
I know that he wasn’t Catholic (he was a Presbyterian minister), but I sometimes wonder why he’s not up for Sainthood. Even if physical miracles aren’t attributed to him, the kindness he gave to us alone should make him a Saint.
Ten physical miracles would not live up to just one of his emotional miracles. And he gave millions of them. Saint would be too weak a word for this man. I defy anyone to ever find anyone in history like him, and I defy the future to ever create another. He was truly one of a kind, and we were all truly blessed to be alive to witness him and feel his genuine love and words of kindness and support.

I'm a 55yo Aussie man who never enjoyed the privilege of growing up with Mr Rogers, and yet, after only 30 mins, he has reached my inner child, and I feel loved. And I wept. And wept. With childlike joy. I am reminded by Mr Rogers that I need to pursue silence and wonder, so that this "boy can someday be a man." And in that silence and wonder, be thankful to/for everyone that has helped that boy become a man. Information and noise cannot do that for you. It's good to "Stop. Stop. Stop." I possess deep respect and high regard for his moral authority (which comes from his gentleness and patience), and his selfless spirit. What a giant of a man...
What he ment with the gift of silence is, when youre silent you will find your inner peace, and your heart will open up. I work as a caretaker and i remeber this one old man from the uk and our walks and then at a random park bench we sat down and he teached me by his example to be silent and i followed this as good as i could. And what ive found was that my heart (its like an energy or feeling - what ever you feel like calling it) was smoothing my whole body and the stress and my anxiety was gone. It was a feeling i will never forget.
When I was in elementary school, I wasn't like the other kids. They wore bright and happy colors, I wore black and red. They listened to One Direction and Miley Cyrus, I listened to Three Days Grace and Amy Lee. I never had friends because I never fit in. Then I saw Mister Rogers on tv and he became the only person who made me feel like it was okay to be myself. He made the world a better place and now he's making heaven a better place. I like what mr. Rogers says at the beginning of this that our society is more interested in noise and silence. In news than Wonder and I completely agree. It's in the quiet moments that we notice the beauty of nature the beauty of things around us The Wonder of our families.
Ritabug34 "The white between the paragraphs." Thinking, feeling, understanding, and patience. Nowadays? Try to have a conversation with someone with ANY white between the paragraphs... if you can even finish one without a mobile phone chirping, TV flashing insecurity-targeted adverts, or even the very person you're talking with being too edgy and brazen to even take in what you've said. Attention spans seem to be shrinking globally. And in spite of all the online shopping and myriad of social media, is it really any wonder that we're more disconnected from each other than ever? I'm not a bitter old person. I'm neither bitter nor old. I think I am, however, a very jaded young person. @@mookinbabysealfurmittens Agree as well. Fred Rogers rightly feared a society where men reacted rather than thought, where they never slept rather than pondered. Where they never love despite having more accessibility to each other than ever. He saw the storm of the modern day coming long before most of his time - or even those after him - did.
The Way he recited that song in front of the congress, just brought me to tears... I needed that. And I do believe, even though I haven't seen his show as a kid, that everyone deserves and needs, a neighbour like Mr. Rogers. Thank you sir, thank you for being our Neighbour
Funny enough, my grandma had a neighbor named "Mr. Rogers" and because I always watched Mr. Roger's Neighborhood at her house, I thought her neighbor Mr. Rogers was Fred Rogers and that he taped his show a few houses down. For years I took him calling me 'neighbor' literally and I'm not even ashamed that I was wrong.
How am I just now finding out who Mr. Rodgers is? I may not have grown up with him, nor be able to feel what the children that grew up with him feel, nor seen much content from him, but I can see that he was probably one of the kindest human beings ever to walk the face of the Earth. I wish more people were like him; people who care. Not just about the children, but humanity itself. RIP Sir

As a neglected and abused child, this man helped me feel hopeful and less alone. His kindness had such a directly positive impact on me, and my own professional trajectory as a helper.
Please be that person! I see so many people say "we need more kind people" but they don't do anything themselves. Please follow your words and be one of those people.
We really need Mr Rogers in today’s society. There is just so much negativity and we could really lear from the wonderful man. I don’t understand why there is so much hatred and negative feelings from everyone. I see it at school, where kids fight and throw punches to deal with their anger towards people, how students threaten to bash and beat up other kids. And when kids try to act cool by being tough. I think we need this man now more than ever.
This is honestly amazing. Like, jaw dropping. So incredibly ahead of his time with his approach to mental health, being aware of your own emotions and owning them and being empowered to take control of them and choosing to act in a way that's good and kind. I'm staggered by that speech and song to congress, it's something we should foster in ALL our children. The recipe for a happy life.
So glad I could watch him everyday after school. I hate that alot of us grow up and forget his lessons. Im enjoying rewatching episodes, it still helps me today as a 35yr old mother.
I’m in a Mister Rogers rabbit hole and bawling. What a beautiful, kind soul. We need more people like Mister Rogers in this world. As someone who works with children with disabilities as a career, I found this especially touching.
In a world like we have today, where people are more afraid and more angry than they have ever been before. I feel like the lessons Mr. Rogers left us with are just all the more precious. In the world today people use anything to get their way and will hurt anyone to make their lives better. We see God used to hurt, we see our police officers using their authority to hurt... But I think the worst thing we see is children in need, children that are scared and confused in a world that seems all the more dangerous, but who's parent and loved ones only end up scaring more as they fill them up with the same hate that is making the world worse. Don't let your anger blind you from what matters, be like Mr. Rogers because Love will always be more powerful than hate.
The comment section is so blissful and filled with peace and empathy. And it contains such beautiful messages that are most certainly influenced by Mr. Rogers words. Even to this day!
Man I'm 31 years old hearing Fred Rogers still make me tears up. This man is certainly needed today with the pandemic still rages on, Russian invasion in Ukraine, wealth inequality, authoritarianism and hate speech the list goes on.
Mr. Rogers remains special long after he physically left us. Not because he was or is a saint. It's because when all is said and done he remains a good decent man.❤
And then to see the joy in his face when that same child (now grown up) comes to honor him. This man was a true genuine Human Being in every sense of the word. I'm not sure if there was a disingenuous cell in his entire body
I really can not come up with any single person that most represents what it truly means to be an outstanding human being. His kindness and his caring came so naturally to him, and he was able to share that with the rest of us, all while we struggled immensely to find the smallest bit of compassion. That does not make us bad people. It just makes Mr. Rogers a shining beacon of what kindness and love can do for the world.
Im a dude and cry about idk once a year maybe less... well that is if you dont count when i watch mr rogers because i cannot stop myself from crying my eyes out every time he talks. Its almost like a magic trick.
Someone who is real. Love is the remedy for any issues. I really believe that. You are always deserving of love. Everyone who ever lived deserves to feel loved. The people who feel no one loves them are usually mistreated by someone in their life. Your worth isnt predicated by how someone treats you.

1:16 I missed the syndication of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood by just a breath. I was 3 years old when the last episode aired, was just about to enter kindergarten when he passed away. While I remember watching other things on PBS around that time, I don’t know if I ever saw an episode of his show. I wish I did. As someone who would be flagged for learning disabilities practically the minute I set foot in school, as someone who already had a strained home life that would only get worse, and as someone who would go on to face enormous difficulties on so many fronts because of things about myself I couldn’t change, I can’t even imagine what hearing “You’ve made this day a special day by just your being you. There’s no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are” would have done for me. I don’t think I truly believed that last bit, that someone could like me just the way I was, until I was almost 20. I wish that I could’ve had him as a reassuring figure in my life, but I’m so glad that he was a massive positive influence for millions of people who needed someone like him.

"There is One Thing That Evil Cannot Stand And That Is Forgiveness".... The Greatest Quote I've Ever Heard
Fred was full of great quotes. You know I heard a great line recently from the ‘I was almost a school shooter’ guy, he was talking from his experience, “the people you think deserve love the least are the ones who need it the most”. It fits with Fred’s quote.
And Jesus of Nazareth offered it to everyone!
I would replace forgiveness with COMPASSION as it is far more beautiful 🙏🏽
In forgiveness we put ourselves on a higher pedestal by forgiving the other. Besides when we forgive it is consciously and the subconscious retains the hurt we were subjected to. ( the subconscious is 9 times the Concious )
Through COMPASSION we never condemn the person, however his acts are condemned. The act and the actor is not the same.
and yet people want capital punishment

Mr. Rodgers is so comforting that if he weren’t a children’s show host, he would have made a great therapist or counselor :)

There is nothing embarrassing or unmanly about honestly expressing one's feelings. Sometimes people think that they have to be tough, and there's nothing really wrong with being tough, but you don't have to be tough all the time, only when toughness is called for. You know who influenced Mr Rodgers: Jesus Christ.
And he conveyed that feeling because he knows how God feels toward all of us! God bless you!
Hope you're doing good buddy. Take care!

And that is one of the greatest things about him. When speaking to someone, that person WAS the most important thing in his life, as everyone was worth his time, his attention, and all the love he had to give. I asked a 4 year old buddy the other day "What's going on in the world?" He replied, "The world is being very loud." We sat in silence and pondered. Then I said, "You know what? You're right. You are very wise." We just grinned and enjoyed our surroundings...
Out of the mouth of babes, 'ey???
The way he climbs up on the stage to greet Jeffrey gets me every time.
@WilliamE216 absolutely. I think if it was other celebrities I would think they just wanted the limelight on them but his reaction reads just as omg that's my friend and I need to be with him now
I used to be married to a verbally abusive man. I felt so much pain at some of the ugly words said to me. After he left for work in the morning, me and the kids would watch Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. It was as much for me as it was for my children because it was tremendously healing to hear those words, "I like you just the way you are." ♥️♥️♥️
You really matter! Don't forget that!
I watched my mom be abused for the first 5 years of my life. I always try to encourage her since we didnt have much positivity growing up
The twentieth century offered us some of the most amicable inspiring wholesome people in all of our history:
Fred Rogers
Bob Ross
Carl Sagan
Jim Henson
Robin Williams
Steve Irwin
Stan Lee
No controversies. No arguments. No judging. Just pure empathy for one another. I think the combined work of the aforementioned people has spread more positivity than any other person, religion or movement in history. The world could use more altruistic deeds done out of love and care for one another instead of out of ego and notoriety.
Thank you.
He talks the exact same way to all people, children and adults. And that’s part of the magic of Mr. Rogers. 😊❤️
Mr Rogers is a man for all people, no matter how old they are!
He wasn’t worried about nobody’s award...he saw his friend and with no hesitation, bolted up them steps to hug him.
We didn’t deserve Fred McFeely Rogers, but I’m grateful that we got to have him for as long as we did. RIP, Mr. Rogers. We sure could use a friend like you in our neighborhood today. 🙏🏾
Stop. Stop."
I possess deep respect and high regard for his moral authority (which comes from his gentleness and patience), and his selfless spirit.
What a giant of a man...
I discovered Mr.Rodgers about 20 minuets ago and he's already changed the entire trajectory of my life
What he ment with the gift of silence is, when youre silent you will find your inner peace, and your heart will open up.
This is beautiful. Thank you for your work. ❤
Our world is full of noise.. So sometimes all we really need is a little moment of silence ❤
God now has a good neighbor.
I went through the same thing but in high school and listening to three days grace and many bands
My heroes when I was a kid: Fred Rogers, Bob Ross and Ayrton Senna. Where are men like these nowadays? Am I being good enough to my neighbors and brothers?
Thank you, Mr. Rogers.
PU2SFX Mr. Rogers is such a WONDERFUL Man and he's had such a WONDERFUL Show. He did touch each of us when we were kids and now I have 2 Nephews (Jacob is 9 & Ethan is 4) and Everytime that I keep asking myself am I good enough to be an Uncle or a Nieghbor or even a Friend. Thank You Mr. Rogers For Everything we still miss you and we still NEVER STOP thinking about you.

Who's that last one, Ayrton Senna? Never heard that name; tell me about him.
Robert Lombardo Ayrton Senna is a Brazilian Race Car Driver
ruclips.net/video/9U_K76vPGYo/видео.html
If you have 16 minutes to spare you really should watch this. Senna was an absolute legend, both as a racing driver and as a humanitarian.
What a majestic combination of names and heroes you got there. The first two taught us how to be gentle, loving, softspoken, kind and caring, and Ayrton taught us how to always fight for what we believe in, no matter the odds. He has been my hero as well. Great choices.
And that's why I look up videos like this: to remind me that there were, and still are, truly compassionate people on this rock, and that love is real.
@@mookinbabysealfurmittens Me too! Jaded young person and it's the first time I see Mr. Rogers. I didn't know there were people like this! So that's what a real nice people is like!
I love you Mr. Rogers xxxxxxf
Donald Trump brought me here. What an amazing man. If only we could have more Mr. Rogers in politics, television and real life.
@@bigguy3021 true. I’ve never seen donald like this at all
How am I just now finding out who Mr. Rodgers is? I may not have grown up with him, nor be able to feel what the children that grew up with him feel, nor seen much content from him, but I can see that he was probably one of the kindest human beings ever to walk the face of the Earth. I wish more people were like him; people who care. Not just about the children, but humanity itself. RIP Sir
Ultimate Contra I'm sorry you couldn't have grown up with him like I did. I loved him so much more than Barny because even as I was a kid I could tell he wasn't speaking down to me.
You can get involved and be a fan of his program. Episodes are freely available on PBSKids.org, here on RUclips, and during a Twitch marathon several months ago.
I wish we had Mr. Rogers on TV where I'm from :( we didn't have Sesame Street or things like that too
He was a blessing and a gift to this world!
Welcome to the neighborhood :)
As a neglected and abused child, this man helped me feel hopeful and less alone. His kindness had such a directly positive impact on me, and my own professional trajectory as a helper.
He was always my happy place as a child
We need more people like Mr. Rogers in the world today.
That can be you too :)
Please be that person! I see so many people say "we need more kind people" but they don't do anything themselves. Please follow your words and be one of those people.
He devoted his life to helping and teaching children, when in fact he's helped all of us and still does to this day. What a remarkable man.
I never got to grow up with him as my neighbor, but right now I would like to have even a five minute conversation with him.
I used to watch him in the 90s with my step dad. ;_;
Great comment Joe :).
I don't think he was ahead of his time. Rather, he represented timeless traditional virtues, wisdom and values.
oh man. That moment that Jeff was up on stage and talking to Mr. Rogers, I started to cry. What a beautiful moment, what a beautiful person
I love how Mr. Rogers doesn't miss a beat and walks right onto stage the moment he sees Jeffrey to give him a hug.
This man is the embodiment of love, empathy and compassion.
So glad I could watch him everyday after school. I hate that alot of us grow up and forget his lessons. Im enjoying rewatching episodes, it still helps me today as a 35yr old mother.
I hope to show my kids him one day.
“It helps to be loved in order to work in this life”
As someone who struggles to love themself, this means so much💜
I don't know you... but I care about you and wish you nothing but happiness 😊
@@billmason2785 Aw thank you so much! I wish you happiness as well!!😊
An amazing person. The world is better for having Fred Rogers in it for a time.
yea but he's not gone nore forgotten thanks to the rewind botton
I’m in a Mister Rogers rabbit hole and bawling. What a beautiful, kind soul. We need more people like Mister Rogers in this world. As someone who works with children with disabilities as a career, I found this especially touching.
Every sweater mr rogers wore on the show was knitted by his mother. Best guy ever
We don't have Mr Roger's in South Africa 🥺🥺 this made me cry ,the world needs more people like Mr R
Whenever I just hear a split second of Mr. Rogers my eyes get watery
God bless him
“Oh my, this is a noisy world.”
-Mr. Rodgers
He's just so humble. His entire life. Just a quiet guy sending his message to the world and the world listened.
Mr. Rogers is one of the greatest men to ever live. The world needs more Fred Rogers, desperately.
Probably one of the best moments is when Jeffery comes out as a full man in his wheel chair and Mr Rogers is visibly ecstatic to see him again.
Great men are remembered, but only the greatest are heard.
It's because when all is said and done he remains a good decent man.❤
listening to him talk about a child with down syndrome choked me up... not going to lie
And then to see the joy in his face when that same child (now grown up) comes to honor him. This man was a true genuine Human Being in every sense of the word. I'm not sure if there was a disingenuous cell in his entire body
im still crying while im typing this
Was looking for Roger from American Dad. Found the wholesome Mr. Rogers instead. Not disappointed.
Imagine the impact if Mr rogers, bob Ross, and Steve Irwin made a 1 hour tv special together for children of today.
I am SO grateful that Mr. Rogers was a part of my childhood growing up in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
LOVE you Fred💖 & MAHALO for everything you gave us - you are a treasure and still ALIVE in the most real way, I know...

Fred Rogers: the hero we need, but don't deserve
Im from The UK,and I have heard of,but never saw Mr Rogers. Not sure how I came to even watch this video but I now wish we had had him here when I was a kid.If more people in the world were like Mr Rogers it would be a better place!
