What a lovely video! It was enjoyable to watch but also incredibly peaceful. The music was perfect. I’ve seen many videos when the music overpowers the person’s voice. It doesn’t on your video at all. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Perfect timing for me. I need to make a protective bag from a chicken feed bag to protect a wool throw I just knitted for my niece. This is a simple, but nice looking pattern. Really like the natural look of the materials for this bag. It is tricky going through a lot of layers of thick material and that Juki would be nice. I have used my Bernina sewing leather and cotton with a leather needle. But I did break needles and the machine sometimes struggled.
Glad this was such great timing! The layers you mentioned definitely might be tricky but it might be easier on the machine than leather. 🤞Fingers crossed!
I bought a few KH leather hardware kits for tote bag straps a few years ago. Multiple handles detached while being used which was embarrassing as I made them for gifts. I thought it was my fault, maybe I hadn’t hammered hard enough. Just a word of caution if you make a tote to attach the straps well and do a test run at home so you’re not out and about with a bag with only one strap. 😂
Oh thanks for this tip and sharing your experience. I will definitely remember this and remember to put those straps to the test before taking it out! 💜✨
Hello , i don't know if you'll ever read my comment , i am an English teacher with a very packed schedule I'm also a biologist i love everything craft related , i have a baker's degree and i studied hairdressing for a while , i have a dream of being able to make my iwn clothes , so i joined a class now with my packed schedule and life and some conditions I'm thinking of quitting and never going back to class because i can't seem to be able to find the time to sew , what do you think i should do? Thank you in advance ❤
Such a great question and I am honored you'd ask for my thoughts! 💜I think you can trust your instincts on this one--you know yourself best and what would bring you the most joy. With a packed schedule it can be hard to pick up a new craft, for sure. There is a saying I remind myself of now and then: do what you can, with what you have, where you are. ✨If you are only able to attend sewing class but not sew outside of that, so be it. Perhaps let that be your practice right now. 🌸

I am *so* happy to hear this! Thank you!
I appreciate hearing the machine!
Happy to hear this! ✨
Pinking shears are also my last choice but they really help on a pinch! Great job!
Thank you! And I am glad I’m not alone in that feeling about pinking shears. 😅
